Looks like you have to reorder some more KVD Popping Perch. They make a smaller size called the KVD Pipsqueak Popping Perch. Most KVD branded lures seem to work better than others I have tried on average. I want to try them myself, but my supply is overstocked already. I started being a frog fanatic a long time ago, I discover the Mann’s Rat around 1982 and few to no one used them. Loyd Tallent designed them for Mann’s Lures. Mann’s lures made a much softer body bait than Snag Proof lures. Harry Ehlers Company was Snag Proof lures, his hollow body baits were one of oldest models and they started around 1950. These hollow body lures are not a new idea they just went viral you could say a short time ago. I just picked Mann’s Rats because of the super soft body, because you got more hook ups. I still have around half dozen original Rats and a couple Ghost Shads. They made one called Phat Rat and another called Spitting Shad that I remember. The Ghost Shad was a hollow body Zara Spook type walking-bait made like a frog. Bass would hit those things and they would fly two feet in the air if they missed them and they missed them a lot of the time. Here is the kicker. 1895 Hasting’s Weedless Frogs sold by Hibbard, Spencer & Bartlett Company made from rubber, Molded using a new process that formed the hollow body.
NetBait, Halo Fishing, Snag Proof, Scum Frog, Freedom Tackle Corp, STH Bait Co. all owned by American Baitworks Company. They sell many unusual style baits and some are American made.
Don Wheeler’s Collectors Guide to Frog Lures, a book written just about Frogs. Now this guy knows about Frogs, and you thought you were a frog fanatic not even close. I do this stuff for fun. You just give me the ideas.

Only us true frog fishermen can see the beauty in all that scum, it's "Froggy"! Man, you landed some good chunky ones on that trip, and I'm glad you didn't break your leg, or some other injury in that hole, but I think loosing that Popping Perch hurt you more, haha.

I had my revo do the same exact thing. I set the hook on a nice fish frogging and stepped on my revo and bent the handle. It stripped just the same as yours. I took an older nut and replaced it. Been fine ever since. Probably a yr ago.

I have a Poppin frog and I ordered the spro bronze eye midnight Walker and I ordered a Lew's spinning combo , no pond scum on the lake I live on but there are some sticks pads and weeds around the bank , good feeshin

Great vid. Debo. I live in North Central Illinois and the fishing spots look quite similar to yours except I have a couple of gravel pits I fish that are very deep compared to the ponds. Do you have any gravel pits you can fish and video? They can take a little bit of a different strategy and I would like to see how you approach them.

I dont fish frogs nearly enough. But i think its mainly because of the hookup ratio. I miss a lot of bites when i do fish them. Do you adjust your hooks on your frogs?
Some I will slightly bend up. I always cut the legs down too. Try dropping down to a smaller size too if you keep missing fish.

I just try out local lakes and ponds. Our local DNR has a website that shows all the lakes around.
Jbraid 4x is good ?
I haven't had issues with it except one fish/turtle this year.
Slow down on the hook set, give them 3 seconds and the fish will have time to adjust the bait in there mouth

DEVIL DIO bass put up a good fun fight but not necessarily the best eating, usually not worth the trouble. Lots of people do eat them though. I personally feel like bass in particular just seem to have such an elevated intelligence compared to some other fish that it make it hard for me to think about eating one. It’s kinda like how we eat cows but not horses. Riding: horse > cow, eating: cow > horse; fighting: bass > catfish, eating catfish > bass, simple as that!

I was fishing on a sewer and when I went to set the hook my foot slipped off the end of the side and fell in 15 feet of water I could of drowned cause I'm not the best swimmer

I came to the conclusion that I am cursed. Went to a good spot yesterday my wife caught 3 and my nephew got 4 I got nothing. Mind you we were all fishing same bait and same style same spot too
Were they working at a different speed? Different line? Can all depend on the exact cast location too!
