How does he figure the fish will see the top of a topwater lure?
So... You basically took a hollow body popping frog, gave it a fin instead of legs, and called in a popping perch...
Just picked one up last week and very excited to try it out!!
how are the fish supposed to see the top of the bait? it's like looking at your ceiling and expecting to see what color your roof is
I love this lure!!!! It's my favorite top-water lure I have. It's got a VERY VERY nice action and walk to it. I would recommend to anybody who wanted a top-water lure for actually pretty cheap. (price is 8.99).
Throw as much hate as you what but this bait is actually 👌👌
looks good. . can't wait to try it
Was a little skeptical when the lure first came out, but after seeing this I'm sold
Thanks Todd . 🙏💕
Just what we need...another popping bait!
Popping pickle*
That would kill around grass mats, too cold to fish it up here in Ontario right now, next year!
interesting to use for tiger muskie
So what makes this popping perch better at catching bass than the frog? I have watched several video's on it and so far I haven't seen a fish caught on it yet. Watching the video's it doesn't appear to me to work on top any differently than a frog, although it does give Strike King more shelf space for tackle to sell.
Just seems like the skirts are long
Will it work if I throw it on 17lb monofilament
Woooah it’s the popping pickle
Thanks.
that guy is sooooo good looking
get the frog made by scott martin it works way better i have both they both catch fish tho
So......it's a frog? (Consider that fish can only see it from the bottom)
Show us the lure and how to tie it and how to use it don't need a dissertation on how it came about.
if I could throw it on 100... lol
it's a real lure
less talk more fishin
I ain't seen a fish caught on this thing yet. I bought one and cut the tail of it. I've only used one it once. Lol
Suppose to be top water bait but after throwing it u have to watch for it to fill with water all the time... Because of that hole behind the eye,,,, pisses me off I have to continuously squeeze the water out
that is a really strange lure...
uhhhhh and then uhhhhh after that we uhhhhhhh
I am scratching my head here. He uses a 7'3" swimbait rod he said with 65 lbs braid and he throws it for a mile?! Really? I just went to Tackle Warehouse to check out the specs, the lure only weighs 1/2oz, there is just zero chance it will cast well under that setup. Let's not kid ourselves here, it is basically just a hollow body frog.
With the right settings on your reel you can get a light weight lure to get a decent distance ( and you can put a few bb's inside of hollow belly frogs/perch to give it a rattle plus some weight for an even longer cast, I would say about 4 or 5 bb's)
is this a joke
It’s a frog 😑
bunch of baloney.
Just as a couple of constructive thoughts, i think you use to many delay words like "And/Aah. and you don't want to have long introductions to your videos because some people may watch more than one, or the same ones over, and if they have to sit through a television style teaser or lead in people will just coming to your channel, so,,, Short Intros... And rehearse your scripts, some people are just natural talkers and others have to work on it a bit, but you have the right ideas and a good voice for listening too..
