How do you oil a cartridge filter?
@@MarkDHall literally just rub some oil round the filter. Or dip the filter in oil
@ rylandguyofthery Thanks! I’ll do that next time. I thought you only needed to fill a canister type because they hold a lot of oil and you didn’t want it running without any oil flowing through it.
Not always a great idea to run the engine before an oil change just because it will move a small amount to pockets throughout the engine and you won’t get as much oil out as you would when it’s cold
Yes. Also, it's hot.
Good point. Sometimes Matt likes to warm the engine a bit because the oil flows a little better when draining. He has a Camaro, and he always drains that cold.
Isnt there a oil filter drain bolt? And a screen up in the frame ? Extra 3 minutes to check and or clean screen

I think it was The color of the camera. It kinda looks like a reflection from the sun.
K&n and fram oil filters are garbage grade.
That used to be the case, but now not so much. Many of them are owned by the same company.
Fram killed my 2008 gmc Sierra.
@@veloxversutusvigilans4133 We've never had a problem with them up until this weekend. We put a cartridge into a Jeep Wrangler, and it leaked. Not sure if the filter was defective or what, but a MOPAR filter worked perfectly.
