InTheKitchenWithKate i just wondered what day do you upload your candy trying videos on your channel
Hey Andrew! We upload them on a Thursday :D
@@ThisWithThem we have kp mini chips in the uk which are the same as the Frenchfries beef ones are my favourite x
Loved the video of our AUSSIE TREATS 🇦🇺
& To just let u know guys dairy milk chocolate is very popular in Australia & I love the furry friends bars 💖💖💖
InTheKitchenWithKate in Australia we have lots of good chocolate, but when I visited England I tried a Toffee Crisp and it was bloody beautiful an now I’m considering moving there.
Watching them be so confused by a Bunnings snag is the highlight of my day 😂
ikr its so strange to think people don't know what a bunnings snag is haha
I find this when I watch people try British things haha
Don’t forget the onion😂😂😂😂😂
Bunnings snag with onion under the sausage because some dickhead is a dickhead and slipped on onion.
Same man
I thought snags in bread was normal... everywhere.. (new edit I didn’t realise how many people related to this comment til now so ty)
Kaz GameTime same I guess not in England
Kaz GameTime samee😂 maybe us aussies are just odd
I’m a South Aussie in WA at the moment and all sausage sizzles here, including Bunnings, serve snags in a hot dog bun!
Oath
Bunnings snag ain’t a Bunnings snag unless it’s served in bread mate, none of those hotdog buns.
I love how they talk about us like we’re a different species 😂😂
PHAT FACTSSSS
That's the blessing about cultures :) we are all so different like species are.
Well they are.
Haha yeah, we Aussies are like😅😂🤣
Compared to yanks,we are
Talking bout the tictocs, “some are pink, some are white”
Me: WHAT BOUT YELLOW??
Lachlan Wilson well yellow is the worst one
same IKR!
This chic made a hell good Aussie snack box for you guys. With stuff we actually eat not just what people think we eat. And lots of good primary school snacks. Mmmm... Aussie lady approved 👍
Cinda rella true!
Yesss, hate seeing videos of snacks we dont eat. This was such a good one. Best one ive seen!
Fucken oath
Great all round selection, should also try a Violet Crumble [chocolate coated honey comb] Similar to a Crunchie but does not melt as easily. Also a Polly Woffle, Turkish Delight and Cherry Ripe, Mars Bar and Snickers. Space Food sticks too.
Thank you❤️
Bunnings is our aussie hardware store, and they always have a sausage "sizzle" out the front raising money for local sport clubs or charities.
Don't forget the democracy sausage
How cool!! That’s so awesome
They have a Sausage Sizzle every weekend and some weekdays depending on the cause, fundraiser etc! My partner works there, it's always so busy on the weekends haha, swear people only go there for the snags 😂 don't slip on an onion!
Jess Dilario ik lol
Jess Dilario I always get a sausage
Haa the sausage sizzle confusion. "Maybe they eat it like that" 🤦♀️😂 Bless their cotton socks.
Your right about bikkies it's how we shorten many words and every Aussie kid knows that one kid that snorted some wiz fizz
Lukas Magic HAHA the amount of times I snorted wizz fizz when I was younger (I’m 15 now) is crazy bahahahah! (I’m Aussie)
Lol year six freind snorted a knock off wizz fizz from aldi
Kids at my old primary school would have competitions to see who could snort the most Wizz fizz
bikkies
Lukas Magic a kid at my primary school snorted wiz fizz and got rushed to hospital aha
Glucojel jelly beans here in Australia are mostly sold in chemists and a great for giving people with low blood sugar levels
Thank you Rachel! ☺️
@@ThisWithThem they have a measured dose of glucose and are prescribed for diabetics.....I carry them in my kit and eat 6 at a time until my sugar levels come back to normal....BEST part of being a diabetic.
They’re like the lolly you get when you go to the doctors 😂
They are also yummy 😂
I think this package is going to give them diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
I can’t believe I’ve lived in Australia my whole 17 years of life and never had a chokito. But those mint bikkies are life😍
Literally same.
Haha same
Omg same tho
Neither have I. I'm gonna go try one now
that's really sad for you
The only reason me and my brothers go to Bunnings is because of the sausage sizzle. the sausages are the best!!!
True that answer Is correct
lizzie person yeah. Those sausages in bread are nice
who doesn't
Cheapest Worst snags you could eat , go to a butcher ffs.
I don't bother buying anything from Bunnings warehouse anymore, the staff are just to lazy to help any customers, I miss Masters hardware 😌
It’s pronounced Ar-NETS not “ar-NOTS”, sorry but as an Australian that hurt my brain cells
Melanite Quartz I agree, I was going to write this as a comment but you did it for me 😁😁
Oh my god 😂 i was thinking the same thing 😂😂😂
It triggered me but it’s Arnotts fault TBH😂😂 I mean they spelt it that way but yes it triggered me so much😂
its not their fault its their accent and an aussie accent!! but i do agree 😜🏏
ikr
Hey Kate So glad you enjoyed my box!! So excited to see you try my favourite foods ☺️Sorry meant spade * 😅
High five I'm from the same state
State*
Good choices girl
Ruby Milne arnt those jellybeans for diabetics, I had friends in schools that used them
Jessie taylor I think so? Just remember having them as a kid as a little treat sometimes though
Top selling Australia brands
Chocolate- Cadbury
Biscuits- Arnotts
Lollies- Allens
Also ECHIDNA is pronounced E-KID-NA
Arnotts bbq shapes all the way mate 👌🏽
Mc jackwitz same but I hate it because they got rid of my favourite flavour which was smoked bbq which came in a dark green box and they were the bomb because They were so good
🎁
Arnotts was sold to the Americans they better not mess up out bikkies
the natural confectionary is better.
Aaah I love British accents!! I was so satisfied hearing their voices. Finally not some Americans drawling all the vowels. Plus they're so calm and they don't just scream into the camera like every other CZcamsr.
cloudysophie agreed
Its great that you guys are so positive about our Australian food. Normally the Americans would say it’s not ‘sweet’ enough 😂
I get oddly offended watching people try to understand the majesty that is a sausage sizzle.
Lammington2 Obviously a uniquely Aussie thing. 😊
Love a good sausage sizzle - don’t forget the tomato sauce!
Us Kiwis love a good sausage sizzle too!
Bunnings snags are 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
Lammington2 so trueee
Sausage sizzle no washing dishes after. The bread is the plate with the sausage , onions and sauce , eat the lot no plates to clean.
It’s summer around Christmas time so a BBQ is essential for Christmas haha
And yes, we do eat snags (sausages) in bread like the picture on the Pringle’s tin 😂
Addien Mitchell i was so confused when they said they didn’t have them in bread 😂😂
It’s so plain to have a sausage with no bread
Anyone remember the arnotts vovos but when they had marshmallows instead of the icing
They have skimped on the jam too. I think the ones when we were kids were better. 70's and 80's. I liked the Monte' Carlo's from Arnotts too, and the Kingstons.
Bounty’s are my fave!. and Milo cup ice creams 😱🤩, bubble o bills and stuff
The glucose jelly beans are for people with diabetes who need a quick sugar fix and you can only get them at the chemist - but my husband often buys them when he is there just to eat because they are so tasty!
Ahh that makes sense!! They did look medical! Haha they’re delicious. I would too 😆
What in the world is a chemist, is that the pharmacy?
Ivan Vqz yes
@@ThisWithThem i remember always begging mum if i could get some!
Yes! We call a pharmacy a chemist haha
when she said “milo” as “meelo” i-
i know right
When I was younger I lived for those French fries! Also, is it just me or has any other Australian never heard of Chokitos before??
Hello Hello We used to have them in South Australia when I was a kid in the 1990s.
Haven’t seen one for donkeys though.
It’s a wonder that box didn’t contain any Fruchocs (Choc Apricot Balls).
I’ve never heard of them either
Coles sell them in SA get one when $1
Same here was like what the hell is a chokito
Chokito bars where big in the 70’s and 80’s, they are made by Nestle. They did disappear at some stage but got relaunched during the 00’s with new packaging and recipe.
Them being confused about the running snags made me laugh my good all Aussie head off. Like if u are Aussie as well
Mint Slice's are even nicer when they've been kept in the fridge 😍🤤
Laura H ikr
And dipped in cold milk!!
Yummmmmmm
Laura H After I've opened that packet there is NO chance of any being left to make it to a fridge!! Yum
Our Cadbury in Australia is different than the UK as we have an extra ingredient in it to stop it melting due to the climate. I agree that it’s nicer in the UK Ireland though it has a more cocoa taste . It is our top chocolate brand though.
i was going to write this! good point :)
Australian chocolate also uses sugar cane, whereas UK chocolate has sugar beet instead
Milk and milk solids in general taste different. Even Cadbury in nz and aus taste different
While we have our own factory, you'll actually find that the parent company of Cadbury is British. If you were going to talk of a chocolate bar that is Australian however, then yes, Cherry Ripe was Australian made. (And yes, we have access to the sugar cane, but not so much the cocoa mass)
ickythump89 I thought the taste was different as it was more water than milk to allow for the climate lol. Good to know
Coconut is actually pretty common to be on out food in Australia!😀 it’s on our amazing and iconic lamington!
I legit thought snags in bread was done all over the world... obviously not
no its not. use ya head mate
Just a sausage sandwich in the U.K. really
You can’t leave anything melt-able in the car even on a cold day in aus for more then 10 minutes otherwise it’s melted.
The Cadbury chocolate with the animals on them. The echidna is pronounced e-kid-na
Laeticia Cavanagh I believe our Cadbury chocolate tastes different cause they have to change the melting point to suit our climate. When I was a teenager and worked at the local target store, the air conditioner broke and the entire supply of Easter eggs melted on the shelves. The whole lot was thrown out.
I live In Sydney Australia and I have never seen in my life Chocito, like where’s Tim Tam’s and where “C & C”, where’s Twisties, Smith’s, Burger Rings and the best one out of all of them, Cheezels
Lojaine Chouman yh ikr same
Cellar Door You can get Twisties and Cheesles here in Australia too.
See them in Coles, Woolworths, Foodland (the mighty south Aussies, yeah), IGA, Drakes and in local Delis.
Legit same. I’m from brissi
Me to jack for anyone who is also wondering they have done a few of these vids and they react to them there
C21L01 oh wow really! In vic we call it food works and it is basically just a copy of IGA and everyone hates it xD we usually just call it Iva aswell
I’m actually eating a Cadbury furry friend right now 😂😂
I just ate one with a kangaroo
How about the fact that she pronounced the Echidna wrong!
I’m an Aussie watching this while eating mint slices. I love how you describe everything
If you like the redskins and also like vodka. Soak some redskins in vodka and they will melt away leaving a delicious flavoured vodka. I mix with fizzy water so it keeps that redskin flavour ❤
Thank you for this
Going to try this
Thank you, definitely trying
The glucose jellybeans are more so for when you are sick to get your sugar levels up. They are also used for people with diabetes.
Haha yep. My mum always carries round a bag cause her diabetes.
'Soft chocolate wouldn't that just melt?' WE HAVE FRIDGES!!!
26:47 “a cheed na” bro that got me mad af
I can't believe they don't know what echidna's are!
In Aus we keep our mint slices biscuits in the fridge so they don’t melt 😆🙌🏻
Who’s also Australian here
Emily Baumeister I am GO Australia 🇦🇺
It Is True!
We Grill The Sausages On The BBQ
And It’s Not Because Of We Don’t Have A Bun
It’s Actually An Aussie Delicasy!
A Snag- Sausage On Bread With Onion, Tom Or BBQ Sauce!
Ohhhh bless!! Stuff that we don't think twice about was all so special and new to you!!! Enjoy xx
My husband and I found it very amusing that you guys ate more during this vid then any others we have watched.
And Alex kept getting just a bit more Pringles many time during the vid.
Haha we like to eat 😂 Plus the boxes we get sent just keep getting bigger and bigger! Haha he loved those Pringles! 😂
@@ThisWithThem Pringles are my favourite snack 🍪🔥
3:06 The Pringle’s are tiny
Well there the big ones you can get even more smaller Pringle’s 😂
Looking at that box makes my mouth water!! Soooo good
Bunnings snags are so good, its my dads favourite store and and whenever he wants me to go, he says “ i’ll get you sa sausage
Tic tocs were always a fav in the late 90s, early 00s at parties or just your Nanas house haha
Tic Tocs were made to help kids learn how to read time before digital clocks
They need to go back to it. I know so many of my generation and younger who cannot read an analog clock. At the same time, I literally had a full-grown woman (over 35) look at her analog watch and genuinely ask me what was ticking on the face of the watch.
Alana King I’m one of those people, many have tried to teach me. It’s just my definition of confusion, I know how to read the basics though. Like the o clocks and half past. But it’s really hard to learn when digitals are every where.
@@sherbetbomb3276 dont worry about the minuscule ones just thing the big dots or where the roman numerals are (depending on your clock) are 5 minute intervals so when the long hand is directly at the top its say 3 oclock then it'll it I which is five past the II is 10 past thats how i still read them, because its as close as you need to be

Wow. You guys topped on most of our family favorites😍😍
We eat saussies in bread with tomato sauce and fried onions on top too in NZ. Any fundraising event or home BBQ is not complete without snags on bread!
What a great combo!
NZ doesn’t count
Hi how are you? I am from Sri lanka
@@monsieurbacteria4493 yep lol
I’m Australian and it’s pronounced Are-nets not are-nots :) it’s just spelled that way.
Ahh yes! Thank you Mellie. I now remember that for our last comments from our previous trying video
It's spelled that way as it's someone's last name, it's not a made up name mate haha
its definitely are-nots
Are you even from Australia it’s definitely are-nots
I thought he said "our nuts" i pissed myself laughing though😂
Lovely generous box.👌
Awwwww I’m so glad that you guy enjoyed our countries’ snacks.
PS I am an Aussie just in case you were wondering
Watching this as an Australian is so great! Amazing how many things seemed so different to Kate and Alex.
Yay so glad you enjoyed watching it 😀😀
Cadbury has such lovely chocolate, it’s a go to for any Australian, so is Lindt chocolate
In NZ its Cadbury or Whittakers
Lindt is my favourite
Good choices in this box 👍 I love all those and used to eat them at parties and snacks as a kid
Who was watching this waiting for them to try vegemite?
They tried vegemite in their first aussie box and really liked it. Actually explained you don't eat it of a spoon. Although i have at times.
We have original marmite and can get vegemite in most supermarkets
I love a good Bunnings snag 🤤
Bloody oath
@@sarah-jaynebrown4121 😂😂
When I was a kid my mum would get icing sugar and “glue” a marshmallow into the tic toc and break a life saver in half and stick it on the marshmallow so it was like a tea cup and saucer. Its her birthday tomorrow. R.I.P
I’m Australia and my mouth was watering the whole time
Golden Generation
Lol I just read this and noticed my mouth is so watery too, lucky I have some - streets chocolates 😋
I am so happy you love Australian foods
Echidna is pronounced “E-kid-nah” 😂
Ovaltine is or was a chocolate milk type drink mix we had here like nesquik( might be spelt wrong)
It is still here in Oregon just have to look for it
I always assumed that everyone knew what an Echidna was
JUMPYS ARE LITERALLY MY FAVOURITE CHIPS EVER!!!
This video is hilarious, btw cadbury is by far our most popular chocolate brand. Great video
We used to have dunkaroos in America and I LOVE THEM as a kid. Wish we still had them.
Shame when companies decided to stop selling things
I was thinking they looked familiar! I remember having them as a kid 😀
@X Family They were launched by the company Betty Crocker 1990 in the US. We had them decades ago. Y'all just behind 😂
@@80sGamerLady Betty Crocker sold them in Canada as well, the cartoon kangaroo with the Aussie accent is one of those ads that most 80s/90s kids remember fondly.
Yes! I found them a few years ago, I think they were a limited time thing but even as an adult, they were awesome 😂
In Australia Cadbury changed their recipe a couple of years ago so the chocolate didn’t melt as easily. Australians definitely weren’t happy about this. Personally I buy imported British Cadbury chocolate from speciality shops because I don’t like the new Australian recipe. I’m visiting the UK next year and think I will need an extra bag to bring back all the chocolate lol.
Oh also the little spike animal on the chocolate wrapper, the Echidna. It’s pronounced E -kid - na.
Take care guys !
It's a shame we are still waiting for our iconic "Polly Waffles" back. They were coming back, but so far we are still waiting. You guys are awesome. Thank you for the vid:)
Lynne Leighton they were always my fav x
That was a nice box, it's neat how different countries have different names for basically the same thing
Tammy Smith that’s always so interesting to me too
Yeah really awesome box! I know that’s what I find so interesting
100% we have BBQ at Xmas time 🤘🤘🤘
I literally cried out in excitement when I saw those Jumpys. Mate, I LOVE my Jumpys 🦘🍟🇦🇺
oh the good old Bunnings Sunday Sausage Sizzles 😂😂😂
Ooh I’ll be back to watch this later, but it’s 5:30am and I need to get ready. I’m Australian!
Ah no way!! Time difference is so cool isn’t it! Hope you have a great day and enjoy watching later 😀😀
InTheKitchenWithKate finally getting around to watching it now :)
You guys should try putting your favorite chips/crisps on a piece of white bread with butter, folding it in half, im from SA and this is a real thing we like to do ❤️😊
Leandri Van Kerkhof I know it’s SO GOOD!
Leandri Van Kerkhof yes & as a kid we use to take our nutella sandwiches & stuff crushed salt and vinegar chips inside it! Sweet & Salty !
Leandri Van Kerkhof omg yes 🤤
Oh no! ROTFL.
The potato chip sandwich.
I’m from SA too and yup. Growing up was always eating Smiths Chips on a sandwich. 😉
Salt & vinegar chips, butter, cheese and white bread! The bomb 👌👌👌👌
Your Aussie candy video brings back some memories
I’m from Australia and is so funny seeing them confused by putting a sausage in a piece of bread. I thought it was totally normal!😂😂👍👍❤️❤️
We used to get dunkaroos in the USA when i was a child ( in the 90's). If I remember correctly though ours had vanilla icing with rainbow sprinkles with the cookies.
Mmm yum! Would have loved those
There was regular cookies and chocolate frosting too 😍 and a plain vanilla icing with regular cookies as well
Coolest candy box ever. Hi Kate & Alex have really great summer
Such a great box! Thank you Rebecca. You too ☺️
the sausage on bread is what we call a "sausage sizzle" and are absolutely delicious!! 😍😍
Is there something special about the bread? I usually find that the bread isn't the right size or dense enough to be able to hold a sausage.
My mum loves glucojels as lollies!!
Crackin up at you guys.. echidnas... (eee..kid...nars) cute 😂🥰
They had dunkaroos a when my parents were teenagers in America! My parents recognized the name ‘dunkaroos’ when you guys said it. 😂
Lol us aussies don’t think your Cadbury’s tastes as good as ours also.
Must just be what each of us is used to!!
And you’re saying echidna sooo wrong ahhahaa
I think Aussies Cadbury is better than there's because it's something to do with the hot climate here
Your Aussie cadbury's has a different oil in it with a higher melt point. Since cadbury shut down the NZ factory we've had the Aussie version and they've lost millions cos people don't like it as much.
The thing is the furry friends actually has a different taste to just plain milk Cadbury chocolate, I mean we all just eat dairy milk so that’s probably why they thought there’s was better.
being an Aussie myself. I honestly love just watching people's reactions when they try our food/lollies
I’m Australian and this is absolutely hilarious 😂
Love your videos!!! Bye the way I’m Aussie and echidna is pronounced e-cid-na hope that helped! Haha!
Glucojel jelly beans are usually sold in chemists and a great to give people with low sugar levels
Bunnings is a hardware store in Australia and they sell sausage sizzles. So basically a sausage sizzle is a price of bread with a sausage place in there, you can put onions and sauce in your sausage sizzle if you choose to.
Cadbury is amazing 😍
And dunkaroos were my favourite snack at school back in the 90's 😅🙊
Watching these Pommies being confused about snags is fucking hilarious
My favourite aussie snacks
Icecream- milo cup
Powder drink- milo
Biscuit- Tim tam
Chips- smiths salt n vinegar
Cracker-cheesy crackers
Chocolate-chomp or chokito (it’s hard to choose)
Soft drink-Schweppes raspberry drink/ raspberry lemonade (soft drink brands call raspberry lemonade something else)
As a kid, a big treat for me we’re the tic tok iced biscuits with 100s &1000s.
Another thing is it’s not aussie but a supermarket we have is named Woolworths (woolies for short), each supermarket has their bakery so their bakery sells mini cupcakes that tast amazing as a sometimes treat!
Love, love, LOVE, Alex's new look (no hat!). That Aussie animal is pronounced "ah - kid - na".
Yay glad you like it!
Ahh thank you Lory!
We had dunkaroos here in the U.S. back in the 90’s and had all different kinds of icing. They were so good!
Ah no way 😀😀 that’s so cool
Lol how cute is Alex with his lil “nibble face” 😆 12:35
Christmas barbeque is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!
“G’day mate”
All Australian
“Oh don’t say that” looking disgusted
Having a barbie for Christmas is pretty common in Australia 🍻
I was waiting for the Kesha comment. She's my favourite artist 😍 So glad you love our food!!
We do eat grilled sausages in sliced bread with onions and sauce!! A delicacy 🤤
Also, you’re right- Ovaltine does come in a powder form, similar to Milo, but not as good imo
Sarah Joy I don’t eat them with onions
Carbury chocolate is the most popular chocolate in australia
For sure 🍫
We say Arnott’s as Arnats in Australia, enjoyed hearing you say it in an English accent! 😂
We also get creme eggs here and those wiz fizz eggs were new this year.
Hehe thanks Jess ☺️
This is my first video, and I already love it. Keep it going guys Xx
Also the kangaroo crisps are similar to British 'Pom Bears'
