My step dad had a smaller Stanley thermos back in 79 into the the 80's and 90's and that thing would keep coffee hot for 3 days at least. He'd leave it in the truck over the weekend after making coffee on Friday morning for work and it would still be very warm on Sunday night. I mean warm enough to enjoy too. So it may not be 6 days for coffee but it does keep it hot enough for most coffee fans to enjoy. Thanks Steve!

That thermos works very well. Never would have thought that long. To bad it can not do so well with the hot stuff. I have never had good luck with thermos and the ones that did work good and Ed up breaking......CHEERS
Gator I was amazed after 2 days :) so 6 was more than enough for me. The best for hot is a day but some just like it warm.

Steve, I would like to see a video on how to get the most out of the thermos. How to prep the bottle before filling it so that the last of the coffee is still at least warm the next day or the cold drink is still cool on day eleven.

A volume of a cup of coffee is not measured by the US Customary system (a.k.a. Empirical system). In which a cup is equal to eight fluid ounces. A standard cup of coffee world wide is considered to be 150ml which is almost equivalent to 5 fl oz. (1.2 ml less) That is what the markings on your glass coffee carafe of drip coffee maker mean. So that a 10 cup coffee maker makes 1.5 liters, and a 12 cup coffee maker makes 1.8 liters.
According to some of your viewers. I must be a fan boy because I agreed with your last video. So what should I write this time? Should I hunt and beck your video apart or say screw it and agree with you again. Since I have been using a Stanley Thermos since I started working in 1965 and would not buy any other one. I'm with you 100% on this review.

Hey Steve, that’s impressive I must say. Lately I’ve been working on a deck with temps approaching 30+C curious to know if it works in those conditions as well. When you’re hot, working in the heat it’s really nice to have cold water! Cheers

In the very high temps 5 days easy if you fill it with ice. Just amazing how insulated it is. I did notice the smaller ones from stanley are not rated as long as the 2.5 q one I have.
Get an ice cooler box or powered chiller box to store drinks in it. Stanley flasks are great, but they are relatively small. Maybe try 2.3L, the biggest one they have. Basically ice takes a lot of volume and it won't melt in a good flask such as Stanley quickly enough to produce enough volume for water for anyone working on the roof in hot weather and if you put less ice it might not be enough, but it might work depending on your working regime.

It stated ice for 10 days but that's most likely with never taking the lid off in 10 day 😅 6 days is more than impressive for my needs.

I would think that you would have to fill it with cold (very cold) water every time... 🤔💦❄️
Just room temperature water at my cabin and water out of my tap at home is not ice cold.

I've tried the coffee and it's warm for 24 hours and real hot for 12.
pour scalding water to pre heat let stand for 10-20 min and it will keep hot for 2 days at least
@@alanalan-mq8ywI don't think such long priming is required. Surely 2-3 minutes should be enough to preheat inner flask, shouldn't it? Does it hurt flask performance when using only portion of volume, for instance 1L in 1.9L flask? I am considering upgrading to Stanley 1.9L flask from generic 0.5L and 1L flasks. They are often cheaper than 1L on a popular marketplace (!) and occasionally I might have to store more liquid.
