  • ATTENTION CONSUMERS DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON STANLEY FLASKS AS WARRANTY IS NON EXISTENT. THEY ARE NOTHING LIKE THEY USED TO BE .     Had the same problem myself but with a new one. I fixed it. It wasn't the rubber seal that was the problem but the shelf/lip inside the flask that it rests on when you screw it down. There were just tiny little bits of 'foreign matter' stuck to the shelf which was obviously comprising the integrity of the seal. I gave it a good scrub with the rough side of a kitchen sponge and some soapy water to remove it and it works perfectly now 👍👍

      @@EFFICIENTSELF Thank you for your video good sir👍 It made me take a closer look at that part of the flask. Their quality control isn't very good either. They obviously don't test them. It was just a tiny bit of residue that was causing the problem 🙏

    In Norway they cost about 8$, or you can buy a new rubber seal for about 3$. So just pack youre thermos and move to Norway🤣

    Same problem with mine, completely worn away on the end of the plug!
    3yrs of everyday use is not quite a lifetime!

      They tell you lifetime warranty to suck you in with no after sales service at all. They are not what they used to be. I’m currently trying the thermos brand out and going good so far will do a video later on down the track . Thanks for watching 👍🍻

    Hey mate I would stop supporting Stanley and would not buy them anymore. If they claim lifetime and cannot even reply to a email I would tell them to stick it. Clever trick to fix it though that you have worked out. Cheers!

      Michael19872011 yeah thanks mate.. i have tried the other types of thermoses especially the cheap ones and they not worth buying.. when my stopper plugs are finally stuffed , not sure what im gonna do.. the stanley are the best i come accross but they dont last and not made like they used to be .. stanley probably have sold 100 of their flasks the time it took me to write this message back to you 😂 .. thanks for the support and viewing mate 👍🍻

      @@EFFICIENTSELF Like most things these days mate everything doesn't last like it used too. We are now a throw away society when its broken chuck it in the bin because you cannot get parts for it really going backwards in this world mate. Dont know if you have seen these...www.everten.com.au/oasis-hydration-s-s-double-wall-insulated-drink-bottle-1-5l-w-handle-navy.html but I use 2 of these bottles everyday for home and 1 for work to keep my water cold. Really happy with them! They claim 12 hours hot 24 hours cold. Maybe give one a try mate. I see they have a flask but I have not seen them in real life so cannot comment and the flask only says 7 hours hot 9 cold compared to the bottles www.everten.com.au/oasis-stainless-steel-vacuum-insulated-flask-1l-silver.html Cheers Dino!!

    Great video I've got a small push top flask like where you just pick it up and drink from it it's not leaking but it's not keeping my drinks hot

    In the uk i got a replacement stopper and seal for free because Stanley honour their lifetime warranty.
    It's usually the rubber seal at the bottom that fails to seal not the plastic threads.

      I guess Stanley honours their lifetime warranty as long as it is in the UK or the States... down here we've got "another thing comin' '". Cheers from Patagonia

    Great video mate. Any hints on a new seal option? I can’t find the stopper seals anywhere. O-ring’s not thick enough to take up the slack.

    in the UK, customer service responded in 24h with a £80 voucher to get a whole new flask... so I got the 2.3L one (thx Stanley!!!... great service).
    But yes this so needs to be a stainless steel stopper, this is not sustainable nor lifetime.

    Tks for the top works absolutely perfect tried it for 24 hrs boiling hot better than a new flask how long roughly dose each plastic strip last for. I'm going to try it on the wide mouth food container next.

    I always figured that some condensation on inside of the removable cup is normal as there’s moisture on threads and underside edge of screw stopper

    When I was a kid, my uncle had one he ran over with a bulldozer. Looked terrible. Worked just fine but held a bit less. He was terribly proud of that thing.

    Holy shit. That last example is what I just woke up to today - a ring of plastic came off from the seating that secures the silicone gasket! Unbelievable replacement prices now in 2023. £32 for a replacement stopper for my 1.9L classic.

      @@EFFICIENTSELF Well, i'll test it as I have nothing to lose. Like you, I used my bottle daily (for just over 1 year). Heavy use. Hot water only. Always topped up at my workplace before going home. Carried everywhere. The bottle itself is in very good condition, all things considered. Still has the paper Double XL graphic band around it. But yes, what's with the plastic stopper?!! C'mon Stanley.

    my Stanley is in trouble and the boiling water is made cold. and it model is stanley Adventure Vacuum Bottle 1.1QT/1.0L - Hammertone Green. the stopper is fine And i thought gasket had problem.can i fix it? or it should be replaced? i really needs your help

    Since your post of 4 years ago, price has risen to even greater amounts. Very hard to get now. Aftersales service pretty non existent and most replacement stoppers and cups out of stock (permanently??). Product for life promise simply not backed up.

      It's disappointing to hear that the price has increased significantly and that aftersales service and availability of replacement parts have been lacking still. A product for life should indeed come with reliable support and readily available parts. I have been using the thermos brand now for the past 4 years and customer service great and replacement stoppers are reasonably priced and available. Thanks for watching 👍🍻

    My flask bottle I don't know what's the issue but when I keep a hot water to drink later it becomes cold do you have any method to solve this

These flasks are not like they used to be .. you could try to contact Stanley for replacement warranty but don’t like your chances as they have not replied to my warranty claim I made over a year ago..I have finally thrown my Stanley flask out and trying out the thermos brand to see how it’s going .     If it was metal it would 1 burn you 2 radiate heat and get cold much quicker. There has to be an inbetween. Maybe wrap the threads in metal.

      Sealing properly a metal thread that holds hot liquid ain't possible - they expand and the liquid will go through, even if you use a fine thread (there are other ways to stop this but they can't be used here). There is a reason these are plastic - they are oversized and stay pressed against the metal even when heated.

    I'll never buy Stanley thermos again. Used 2 years and now it holds hot 2 hours. When I feel it up with hot tea, the wals are hot outside. Very disappointing.

      I emailed them about 3 years ago for a Stanley flask that had the carry handle fall off … I’m still waiting 😂 . I end up purchasing thermos 2 litre flask and had a fault at 2 years old and thermos replaced the thermos .. avoid Stanley like a plague. Thanks for watching 👍🍻

      I had to purchase a stopper for my thermos and it cost me around $22 for 3 stoppers which included the $7.50 postage fee.. they are very reasonable 👍

      @@EFFICIENTSELF I was looking for a stopper for the Stanley and all i can find is £22.99 or £25.00 for 1. If i could find a stopper for £7.50 i would be happy keeping my Stanley flask as it has worked well for 3 years using it 7 days a week.👍

    Or buy a Heat Preservation Replacement Cork Kettle Lid Thermos Stopper Vacuum Flask Plug of the right size for your flask off Ebay for under £4 and problem solved for good as your not using plastic that can crack anymore instead going back to old style cork.

    My stopper makes ZERO difference. I use a thermos for 3 mos and the vacuum stops working between the inner and outer walls. I've bought dozens as it's how I drink my hot coffee all day. Not the stopper.
