- Elevators are freakin cool, but when they're not maintained, things could get ugly REAL fast. If you film elevators, you're bound to catch something cool, possibly frightening on camera. Now if you're like me and have been filming for 5 or more years, you definitely catch the weirdest and strangest things. This is a compilation dedicated to all you guys who just LOVE broken and messed up elevators (including me) I hope you enjoyed this video as much as I did making it. I went far into my backlog to find some of the scariest, strangest, lamest and most dangerous things I've ever experienced while the camera was rolling...

Some of those aren't fails, they're secure elevators working properly. If you don't have a key, you can't activate the button for the secure floor.

I am a mechanic and I get that everyday that I am working on... I get some snide comment about me not knowing how to do my job.. I am going a 4 car mod. Car 3 and 4 were done.. I am trying in car 2 to 4 and had it turned off and sinage.. about 20 people made some dumb comment... I lose faith in human race

@@seikibrian8641 you do realize that someone with a gun or any other weapon. Could easily get a key card from someone who works or live at the building. And go to any floor they want to go to it has happened before without even a weapon. So all this is doing is making the evaluators even less secure as they find news ways to use them.

The elevator at 1:48 is one of the 3 at my work. ( Greater Nevada Field, Reno NV) the reason it doesn’t work for that guy is because we lock the elevator to the second floor when we don’t have any events going on. That way we can control who can come in or out of the ball park.

That Otis elevator with the phone button going off to only get no answer for no reason actually gives me severe chills. Not only because the atmosphere is creepy knowing it is going off without you even pressing it but it just sounds like something you'd hear in a horror movie or horror short or even Local 58.

@@catermelonyProbably ended the call. It usually resets on it's own, or it needs someone to manually reset it with a key (similar to a fire service key) on the main/ground/⭐ floor.

My dad once found out what elevators do when no one is in them by spacing out and standing there for a few minutes. Apparently they just sit there, go up a floor, sit there, go back down, sit there some more, repeat until someone gets on...
I know this comment is old but I just wanted to say: I work in a building with 3 sets of elevators on either side, one side on the right hand side after walking through the front lobby are the freight elevators for construction workers/equipment, and on the left hand side are elevators designated for employees and I was curious one day and stayed inside the elevator when descending to the ground floor. The door opened but I didn't get out, so it closed like normal, waited for 5-10 seconds, then started moving to the floor that it came from by itself.
@@shyryTsr2k they can be programmed with a "home" floor. After a certain amount of time being inactive it will return to the home floor by itself.
The fun part of this is that I realized that most adults and kids these days don't know what a dial tone or the off-hook tone is. If he just pressed the telephone icon button again, it would hang up the phone. And not knowing this is because cell phones don't have the need for either of those tones. It's exclusively a land-line thing.
A few numbers I have called on my cell phone use that can you explain why? :/

@@javidmirza4584 That´s wrong. There is a high rise in Cologne (Germany, for the ones that don´t know it) with a Paternoster and it goes from 12th directly to 14th floor (or from 14th to 12th, whatever direction you move).
I remember when I was at a kid's hospital with my grandfather we went into one of their elevators and it got stuck. I was screaming my lungs out till they came and open it.

If CZcams existed back in 2000, I rode some elevators that would be out of this world. Back in 2009 when I was in Memphis, there is a parking deck downtown by the ballpark that the elevators were removed but the call button were still there. They had Dover with traditional fixtures.

Early 1976, I'm in high school and have a night time and weekend office cleaning route. One of my stops was a three story building, fairly new at the time, with a hydraulic elevator. One night, at close to midnight, I get in it to ride up to the third floor to do a double check that all was locked up. The elevator went to the third floor and stopped, the door stayed closed. It stayed there for a long time, but finally went back to the first floor and the door opened. I never trusted that thing after that. I'd put my equipment in it, then take the stairs to the third floor and call the elevator. It also used to settle a bit overnight, I'd get in it on a Sunday morning and it didn't automatically level itself, it slammed the shit out of itself once it started moving.

The following happened when I went to an "5 star" hotel

Me : OK let's see
The door opened a little bit and closed and went to 21st floor
Me : this is crap
I tried to call again but it refused to take any calls.
All lifts were just idling while 100s of people calling the lift. None can call the lift

This is the EXACT reason why I have to walk up 18 flights of stairs to get to my apartment 🥺🥺I’m having heart palpitations just watching I’m so scared of lifts 🥺🥺if you ever find yourself trapped in one press the highest floor the elevator will reset once it gets to the top & bring you back to the ground safely 😊😊

I remember the day in my country 2019 in a Building called Tiffany there was a family of 4 people. They was in 9th floor and when the elevator closed the door... the Elevator ropes literally just disconnected(it was so old) Then the Elevator fell like a Plane falling. It dured 4 seconds to fall and everyone inside died. There is an image of the Elevator after that Incident. But no worries, there was no blood and no morphs inside. But the elevator was completely destroyed and the floor too. I saw the spring, and a giant mess in the Hole. May they rest in piece.
