right, this is beyond stupid and I'm beyond frustrated. WHO THE HELL PUTS A PASSWORD ON THEIR BIOS IN THE FIRST PLACE?! WHY?!?!?!
@@arashrezaee1464 These are business model laptops that you hand out to employees. Locking out features in the BIOS is standard practice. By the way, a chip programmer that just clamps onto the top of the chip is available from places like aliexpress for like $15. You just clamp on top of the chip and you don't need to desolder.

because of security, you don't want someone just remove the battery and get bios access.... like corporations

16MB chip. But my current version of the unlocker does not work on G6 and newer. There will be an update soon. Can do it manually tho.

I had allso a password.
This is what i did shortcut with a screwdriver some pins of the bios chip when you turn it on
Its first says hp in maintenance mode 1 of 10
Then it says bios only production mode or something
Then says bios corrupted en begins to restore
Laptop rebooted 5 times
Then i whas in bios without password
Try at your own risk
