Hi Great vid. Would you say that the S1 could do all of the products you have just shown. The reason is because the P2 is a little above my budget and the S1 is just about ok. Cheers
Absolutely! I wasn’t able to talk about the S1 when I made that video. However, have a review out now and would definitely recommend the S1 for most users. Can handle just about everything at half the cost.
@@SixEightWoodworks Thank you for the quick reply. Just pone more thing is the S1 able to engrave on edge of bowls, say approx 200mm diameter if it was raised up and how would you raise it are there extension legs? Cheers
What do you use for the clear coat before layering? Thanks!
Usually just the cheapest clear coat from the box stores for signs. I use Deft Spray Lacquer for everything else.

I'm just a hobbyist - not looking to sell things, but definitely to make some things for gifts, and so on. I have a Snapmaker 2 A250T with a 10W laser (and a 40W laser on order). It doesn't have a bed nearly as big as the XTool laser, but a lot of the projects you presented would work even on the small bed of the Snapmaker. Thanks for all the great ideas!

With acrylic is there certain colors you can't cut?
For some lasers there are limits on colors. This unit has no issue with any color and can cut all acrylic.

Absolutely. With lasers, you just need materials. No other tools required. Hope to be showcasing some of their smaller units as well. But many use this one I have out of an office or bedroom. Just vent outside of a window. Pretty slick and easy to get started
Did you pay for your P2, or was it given to you in exchange for a review?
Curious if those tools are suitable for real business work, all day long. Most of the youtubers get them for review with added affilate links, and therefor so many hyped content is produced around that tools. For hobby its probably a great (while overpriced) machine, but using it all day long for months, those results would be interesting

Where did you get your SVG files for the ornaments?
Etsy for most of them. Some I just pulled from jpegs and conveyed them to svg’s in XCS.
