The price point is too steep for me as a pure hobbyist with no plans on starting a business, still I'd consider it a fair price for what you get, compared with the actual market. A single 20W fibre galvo without a lot of features the Ultra comes with is around 3k at least. And while I agree on the possibility side with you, I doubt the traditional machinery will hold up with portability. Speed factor is really heavy a material thing, overall I'd consider it a tie.

I had great luck changing the background color from white to black when creating an AI image. When you invert the image there is less to engrave so it takes less time which means we can crank them out even faster. 😁

For the brass coins with deeper engrave pictures, approx how long were those taking?

This is a joke! For a 5-6k you can get full blown workshop not just one machine with fancy buttons... I guess this must be a price for "creative beginers" Full gantry of that machine doesn't cost more then $500 to make in your own shop, more sturdy and precise. Now, 2 laser modules of 20w I can't tell as I 'm not in that business but I doubt they cost 5k. I work in CNC world and this I shameless scam. For this amount, you can buy amazing lathe and mill + buncha other tools to make whatever you want without any limitation. I guess you are paying not to clean your desk after work. Wanted to go in details but that would be just exhausting. Cheers!

Can this etch silver bars or coins? I see you did brass just wondering if Silver can be etched?

Does the cutting panel come with it? It only shows 1 pic for the standalone unit, It does not show on any of the bundles and is not in accessories in the store.

Thank you for the information. I am seriously thinking of getting an ultra. I have a D1 10w that I haven’t powered up in over a year. I have gone down the CNC path but want to add the Ultra for metals and acrylic to add to the wood and epoxy. Can I use SVG or DXF vector files for engraving both diode and IR? I am assuming depth files are used for the deep embossing… Keep up the good work.

How do you see your design overlay on the wood? I use lasers mostly and they have a camera that let's me see my design over my medium

i was thinking of getting one to do leather patches, the engraving looks great, but how does it do with cutting through the leather? can it cut through the adhesive backing too?

Hope the embossing feature will be available with the F1 (normal) as well. Mostly for blue laser on wood.

The CA Activator should be applied to the opposite part and not to the actual glue.

Great video, thanks. I love the look of your shop, shelves full of tools, clamps, scrap wood, sawdust on the floor etc. Not a staged video set like some of the others. I just made a batch of coasters and used Tung Oil for the finish, it takes a while to cure but I like the final look.

Beautiful work! Gotta give this a try now. Also the tip about the yellow bottle for torching is clutch. Always used the blue bottle in the past and was always an issue with the flame cutting out.

I made my dust shoe adjustable but seperate to the z axis so mine doesn't get pushed into the job like yours did. I also put the position of the brushes wide enough that they wouldnt touch my 2 1/2" facemill if they did get folded in by clamps or whatever.
