Thank you so much Krystal for this wonderful video. I have learned so much from you Design Space tutorials. You are great!!!
Oh my goodness! Thank you! I’ve gotten rusty with editing and filming - I’m glad it was helpful despite the glitches!
Great ideas! Thinking outside the box. So helpful.
Thank you!!!
Thank you I have been looking for a tutorial like this forever. Unfortunately I am a very visual person and I’m wondering if you have any other videos like this so I can practice more? Ty!
Thank you! I have a series of beginner Cricut videos that were part of my live series. What kind of help are you needing?
@@CharmingCheek every thing and anything would help!!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I’ve been thinking about how to do this for quite a while… This is so well explained and very, very helpful. I really appreciate your knowledge and generosity in sharing it!!! Does the offset feature work on more irregular/asymmetrical/organic-shaped pieces too? I’d like to draw a stitch-line and then cut a .25” seam allowance around some weird shapes for a stuffed creature. This could save me a ton of time if it works the same, regardless of the initial shape (I ask because my pattern pieces wouldn’t be in the shapes library of Design Space…)
Hi! I’m so happy it’s helpful. And yes - you can use the offset tool on any shape - including on the offset result. Meaning you can take the new shape and make an offset based on that. You’ll just want to use the sharp corner option instead of rounded when using it for marking or reducing a pattern size down.
@@CharmingCheek Thank you! You are a treasure, and I *so* appreciate your generosity in sharing your knowledge.
I just put marking lines on one of my patterns last night. But I didn't use the offset. I like this much better! My thoughts exactly that the setup time is well worth it. What did you have on your cricut mat? It didn't look like just the mat.
Thanks so much! I realize I edited out the explanation - it’s on the cutting room floor (mom joke). I place clear transfer tape sticky side up (this was the Joann store brand but any will do). It extends the life of your mats and in the case of cork it’s strong but doesn’t peel the finish off.
