- Using the Cricut Maker and Design Space to cut squares for quilts is very easy. You just need a couple of tools. If you are looking for a way to increase accuracy and precision with quilting, this might be your answer. This would be very helpful to someone who has joint pain in wrist who find cutting with a rotary cutter hard. I like it simply for the precision. Come see how it works. Thanks

I just set 1 square on the mat. Press make it, and then set the number I want to replicate. Saves all of the copy and paste.
Tip: to protect your matt , put clear transfer tape on your matt , so your sticking the fabric to the transfer tape ! Another cleaning hack for your matt is window cleaning spray.
I cleaned my mat with a sticky lint roller. Try it! Works great.
Brand new cricut maker owner. Been quilting for 20 years. Thank you for this info. I'm subscribed now
Thanks for your demo! Cutting accurately is a big pain point and it looks like Cricut can help!
This is just what I needed to get going! I have had my machine for over a year, not sure how to start using it for quilting. Perfect video! Thanks!
Thanks for this channel!
Wonderful thank you so much!
How long did it actually take for the machine to cut the sheet of 2 inch squares?
Looking for a tutorial to make quilting stencils on my cricut machine for machine quilting (example like a stimpling template)
I'm a little confused. Why did you have to start with your mat on design space? Could you not just do the 2x2 squares? I'm looking at buying a Maker (have explore 2 now) and cutting fabric is huge for me. Thank you!
True! You could do it that way! I just wanted to show how this could be done with any design I guess. Lol we learn as we go!
So there is no way of cutting as many squares as possible with long vertical and horizontal lines (for paper)?
I would like to know this as well. :/
How long does the rotary blade last?
I’m sorry I’m just seeing your question. My blades are still working good but I haven’t cut a whole lot with it I must say. The mat for fabric doesn’t hold out very good though so I find I’m using masking tape to tape down the edges of the fabric. I’ve also used a little bit of temporary Basting spray to hold down the fabric
@Lesley Chandler is the stick factor holding you back with fabric cutting on the cricut ?
@@LesleyChandlercrafts you can wash wash the mat to get it sticky again.
