6:10 it took around 100 cycles to build all of it and around 400 to prepare (build a good rocket, trip to water planet and getting enriched uranium) and around an hour of real life to micromanage most of stacked buildings(specifics of exploit).

I got that iconic painting and the staycation cot, but none of the other awesome ones :( Some really awesome colony's though. LOVE the use of wallpaper on Angryforest's, definately need to experiment more on my colonies
I am starting to sense a theme or common factor with a lot of these players that Echo reviews.. a decent number of them is the first time they manage to get to certain parts of the game.. its like Echo is giving people a goal to achieve that they find difficult to achieve with their own motivations? like its a larger motivator to stick with a colony and fix things that break instead of quitting and trying again.. just a common theme I observed.. =)
What’s wonderful about the playthrough too is that on the discord we can set out goals for ourselves that we share, and then share our progress.
Though ironically mine were an Iron Volcano tamer and a Research reactor. Sometimes the crew just inspires to try new ideas too

Good morning Echo! Glad to be part of the chaos, I had alot of fun seeing how everyone else played. The snow spike at the top I still have no idea how it happened. I never did any digging up there but I think it may of been because it was the only part I had discovered for awhile so the metors stacked up? Anyways I would like to tip my hat to Zeuk, super fun looking base with half the playtime as mine. Also just for the record the ethanol boiler on the far right is the one that cools the base, O2, and metal refinery. Thanks again for inspiring a great community and for all you do to create wonderful content!

Hey Echo! I have a series idea for you: one duplicant per planetoid! the rules are simple: start with one duplicant, and do your best to sustain as many one-dupe colonies as possible. To make printing/ unfreezing new dupes easier, the rules include a 1-cycle grace period to shuttle/ teleport one of the dupes off-planetoid.
Some goals to have-
1. Give a duplicant all skills (and have the morale to support all of them...)
2. Have 5 planetoids colonized by cycle 500 (or even sooner? I'd love to see the Content™ of quickly building and settling colonies in space)
3. Create a livable region on the Niobium planetoid, using the vast array of colonies to support one impossible living space.

I find the ethanol cooling very interesting, can anyone explain the design or a link to a website or video on it? It's different enough that I don't understand it easily
It's called an ethanol boiler.
The specific heat capacity of liquid ethanol is 2.460. Gas ethanol has less capacity at 2.148. When the ethanol goes from liquid -> gas, the gas stays at the same temperature (+2 degrees above boiling point) but has less capacity so it can't hold as much heat, which means the extra heat gets deleted.
You can use the same mechanic to create heat like with a regolith melter that turns regolith (0.200) into magma (1.000).
8:30 - Angry, this is very cool! I have never even heard of such a design! How does it work? There is no change in SHC of liquid vs gas ethanol, so where does the heat go?
Thanks, the ethanol takes less heat energy to condense than it does to boil because the gas has a lower SHC. So by self cooling it essentially deletes heat. The idea of the airflow tiles was to try and create as much area for the gas and liquid to exchange heat (not sure if it actually does anything) the end results was a deletion of about 200,000 DTU/s.

I realised how utterly unorganised my last and first big playtrough was. Like 2000 cycles and my duplicants hadn't gotten proper toilets I had just never bothered. But I had melted a rockets walls to make a really cool rocket which I didn't finish.
It was asked a few times but I am very interested in how the stacking steam turbines works, even if you can let us know if it is a mod or an exploit would help narrow down where to look

melting rocket walls is surprisingly easy, just mine molten tungsten and put a liquid vent inside the rocket and melt away

No, works the same as any other liquid. It just has a lower flash point.

Short answer: yes
Long answer: you know that a duplicant can jump over a 1 tile gap right? They also can do that while climbing or descending 1 tile
If I ever get good at this game with knowledge of how to use certain geysers / gas and other things. I would love to attempt these challenges? But without liquid locks or infinite storage. I don't believe in them haha
There are no limits. Want to use infinite storage? Go ahead. It's a game after all so as long as you are having fun
And there's also no "skill" limit, we have absolute new players, and players that have been on the game since alpha. We have exploiters and vanilla players, we have modders and purists, we have the RSSA and the RSPA (inner joke, one group wants to dig ALL the asteroid, the other wants to preserve it all), so, in short, come by! you'll have fun!
@kutairaisu4603 The thing is. My biggest? Longest colony is at cycle 79. And I haven't even got into making plastics etc yet haha. But my SPOM is producing so much oxygen that my whole base has pretty much 1.8k everywhere but I have some slimelung that won't die in pure oxygen? Maybe I'll come for the next one and seek advice :D?

4:15 - Is that Luma's design? I don't quiet remember how much he designed himself vs using designs from others. But i definitely first saw that in Luma's max exploit playthrough :)
Basically "we" (me,luma and kutai) designed it
Kutai- developed a technology
Luma-made a core
And i made a design of regenerator that you can see in my colony
And me, luma and one more guy helped to research radbolt regeneration phenomena. It was a nice community effort
So it is kutai-luma-uilson design
