The Barrett Jackson effect on modern car culture is aweful. Every vehicle is "rare". Everyone asks top dollar for everything. The 2000s muscle car scene was aweful but today the 90s JDM cars are going through this too. All porsche 911's are like this as well. God forbid you want a porsche that's not silver, black or white. Get ready for the "it's rare" premium.
If you go to Barrett-Jackson on the first date you can find some bargains one year they sold 1000 fox bodies none of them were over $8,000
I agree with the effect. Now every Tom, Dick, and Jane list their vehicle as a 1 of 1. Of 20,000 made, 6,000 had this engine and transmission, 2000 had AC, and only 1 vehicle had the optional cup holder and this is the one....1 of 1 now give me 1 million. To me a rare vehicle is not just based on the number built, but it has to be desirable, and have a performance engine and transmission combo that is truley rare. I'm not into the 1 or 1 trim package = rare.

It's funny but we have been buying the Shelby Chilli making stuff for over 20 years. Way before he passed. That recipe goes back to the early 70's. Had to do with a Chilli cook off Shelby and his friend came up with during the Turlingua racing days. That's another story in itself

Hey Alex! Found you ultimately from the Street Alpha Podcast Gen 2 Coyote is king video and I am glad I did, it ultimately made me completely sure I wanted to be Lund tuned! I just got my first mustang (2023 Mach 1, 6 Speed Manual Car) wondered if I could have a few minutes of your consulting to guide my build? I am leaning towards a ESS kit, as I love the sound, and just want a reliable daily/street car, but would love to talk for a few if you have time. @@YDBT4LIFE Absolutely! Looking forward to catching up on more of your content!! On a 6SPD Manual gen 3 would you suggest an ESS kit or regular blower? I know its harder to keep a manual car in the powerband compared to the 10spd, but the ESS calls to me for some reason.

In the 70s Shelby sold the name and rights to Ford, he was just a spokes person after the sale

The funny thing is there is a big division in the Shelby community as to what Mustangs are actually Shelbys. The 07+ GT500s and Voodoo GT350s don't have a Shelby CSM number. Therefore many in the community refer to them as SVT GT500s (Ford simply licensed the Shelby name). The purists see the second genration Shelby Mustangs as starting with the CS6 or CS8 and then the 2007-08 Shelby GTs. The Sheby GT's actaully have the CSM and were modified at Shelby. I know that most people on this channel are drag race fans, but the Shelby GT was actually faster on the road course than the GT500, sad really. And no, I do not own a Shelby GT, though I do think they look good, and it would be cool to have one with a Coyote swap.
True a coyote would not have to use as much boost. To get place we like. Would it hurt the collectibility? Seems factory matching brings more when rich old drunk guys buy these at the auction they tend to drive vehicles once or twice and park them with others taking care of them from time to time or they go to charity’s and cycle again.
