- This is a review of my 350W/500W electric scooter. It takes about 4-8 hours to charge and it can go up to 60km on one charge or 37 miles. The max weight it can hold is 330 pounds and it goes 32kmph. When your on it its way faster than it sounds or looks. It lasts me half the day when i charge it. when people say it hates hills...they are wrong...it gopes up most hills for me but it goes just a little slower. Hey man great review and video, bought one a couple days ago and love it so far, especially since im planning to buy a motorcycle when im older, but this is great for starters since we dont need licensing and insurance, great way to get to school

That number plate point is for countries where this bicycle would be classed as a motorcycle, ie the UK it has a 500watt motor which makes it a motorcycle in the EU.

Where are you located? I'm just asking cause in Ontario Canada you need to have the peddles on other wise you can get a fine as it is no longer considered a bike. Just letting anyone in Ontario that is watching just a heads up.
@megabassX i dont ride it everyday but i usually charge it overnight and use it all day the next day, the battery lasts a long time! you can leave the charger on fro days because it will automatically turn off after its fully charged

Yea i would say so! One time i rode it to BestBuy 30 minutes away and it was pouring...i just wouldn't sudgest parking it in the rain though
@njvog there is a little slot under the seat and yes you can take the battery out and charge it in the house if you please :)

Does it have the upgraded 72v 30amp battery and is it the 500+ Gio which has 800w peak power for hills.
That green flap at the back is a lock I think. If that's the case, I don't mind disabling the horn.

how did you tune your scooter... what did you do?
ive heard if you want to cut down the turning signal noise put duct tape over where the sound comes from it reduces it alot

No license needed, but you have to be 16 and MUST wear a helmet. and depending on the electric bicycle bylaws of your city, you may also be required to have the pedals attached to the bike at all times. It's a good idea to research all the laws of operating an electric bike before making a purchase. Hope this helps :)

Hey i just got a moped today but i cant seem to find the removable battery if there even is one. Im on a college campus so im finding it hard to imagine how to charge it... any ideas?

1 thing to note for people most of the scooters use a standered bulb for all the lights look indo replaceing all the lights with a led bulb it will give you a lot more battery life

Caydn Johnson Rose most people do not. a good thing to note to I the cooler a battery is the better it will perform and the longer it will last I no in the past on a old scooter I hade I vented the battery compartment and made sure the motor was having good air flow and gained around %5 more life and with the led replacement you can get as much as a 30% longer lasting batterys depending on the size of the bulbs in the scooter also a good note to rember is the lighter the waght on the scooter the faster you go and the longer the battery life.

Is the 500w good enough for 2 people to ride with ? Because people were telling me go for the 1000w or even the 2000w available here. Ours roads are like the ones in San Francisco ( up and down hill ) thanks.
It didn't do very well up hills. 2 people and it wouldn't be powerful enough to go uphill. Go for the 1000w

Anyone comparing this to a moped is a fool. This does not require plates, insurance, or dirty petrol! Also, few people are aware that in Ontario you could be charged for driving with out insurance if you remove/don't install the pedals. It's causes the bike to fall into a different category of vehicle.
@NWOOWN Personally I dont think your getting ripped off. Its awesome and the battery lasts a long time. Thats what i have mine for is pretty much fun. me and my friends double on it too and its no problem. i say go for it!

I just got this scooter and was wondering what he difference is between high/low speed.With the switch in any direction it still goes around 30 mph. Thanks
Low speed is good for long distance ( Normal mode ) & to conserve the battery power. Hi speed is for ( Fast Maximum speed mode ) and in doing it for a long period of time, it will decrease the battery power tremendously. Only recommend doing this maximum speed in 1 person and in a short distance. If by 2 and in a long distant, be prepared to walk and carry home with you. Same principle with the heavy payload.

It comes with an extra key and theres a lock on your back wheel...you put the key in and the back wheel will lock.

i have a Freedom e-bike. the BIG problem is the 48 volt battery I have to drag the battery from bike in basement up to my apt. to charge. But the new battery got lower and lower in power till now it only goes 3 miles on charge. I don't know whether i was supposed to leave it on charge or what? Anyone got any advice?
janet ginger some chargers don't automatically stop when the battery is charged, so could be killing it that way.
also if you're fully discharging it regularly that can wear it down. charging it to 90% and only discharging to 40 or 50% extend their lifespan

In your description, you list the scooter as, "it can go up to 60 Km per hr...." but then in the next sentence you list it as able to "hold 330 pounds and it goes 32Km hr." Could you please clarify what is the "actual" top speed of your scooter, please ?
well...one tie i got pulled over for driving on the sidewalk....but i never put the pedals on...no one stops me :)

I've just bought a Luyuan 200w 48v scooter in the UK and its great but the pedals get in the way, if I take them off does the bike become illegal does anyone know?
In the UK it would be classed as a moped without the pedals. So you will need to register it and get number plates and have a licence/CBT and insurance etc, And if its 3 years old MOTs also.
Thanks, I've gone for folding pedals which makes the bike a bit narrower and they're in such a weird place you couldn't really pedal it if you wanted to!

read the sticker dude that bad boy maxes out at 25kph lol and that fake plate holder is for a real plate you have to have those insured if you dont have the pedals on i got pulled over 2 times for not haveing the pedals on and you can get fined for haveing an uninsured vehicle so put those pedals on or get it insured....... im from b.c. canada tho it might be diffrent and i own the voltec commuter rsv (700 watt one)
You own something completely different then. Usually the 700 Watts go faster than the legal limit for not needing insurance and such.

No as long as the motor is 200watts or under you're fine but I advise a 48v rather than a 36v bike as they go further.
