    Building my first rig. I went with Asetek La Prima bundle to start. If I like it, I like the option to upgrade everything. Great video!

      Not a bad choice at all. As sim Racers we have so many options now. So much more than years past. In fact now celebrities are getting involved it's crazy. Lol. Thanks man

    Thanks for the review, I've just ordered a Forte wheelbase & one of the QRs, very excited. Could you provide a link to the NRG type quick releases that you use, please? There are several different ones on Ebay and I'm not sure I'm choosing the right one.

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  Před 7 dny

      Most welcome mate. You will enjoy it. So if you are getting the NRG. I would suggest getting the official NRG from Amazon. You can also get the Moza and or Simagic wheel side in the future. But id recommend the NRG Gen 2. NRG Innovations SRK-200BK Quick Release (Black Body/Black Ring), gen 2.0

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Thanks for tuning it. It’s a solid base. If I was starting out. At this price it’s a steal at Microcenter. Or the bundle with the Simucube is great too.

    I will buy this wheelbase soon together with the forte buttonbox. And at the end of the year the bavarian wheel 😊

      Thanks. Good stuff. You won't be upset. It's is a sweet wheelbase. What pedals you gonna get? Make sure you use my discount code. Save the 3% and if you get the wheel from BST, make sure you get the QR from them so you can use with no wires.

      @@grayzedynamics i already bought the asetek pagani pedals. They are cheaper than the normal invicta pedals, so it was an easy decission 😋 I just moved to a bigger place with my gf, so when everything is ok in our new place, I will buy my new toys 😋

    I went from the simucube to Simagic Alpha and it is better base in my opinion.
    The simagic eco system is the best there is and quality and value is unmatched

      Nice to know. I haven't tested Simagic but hear it is phenomenal. I think ultimately it is all quite subjective and as long as you love your investment the world is great. Enjoy it mate. And the ecosystem is really good.

  • @550LMS

    Excellent video and I think I agree with your overall rating.
    Simucube remains the dream for me. I love the aestheticsof it, very industrial look and super solid reputation.
    Asetek's software is great. Not a big fan of the looks but pricing, software and hardware make for a great argument.
    Simagic is the odd one out for me. Their QR is amazing, the one thing that ''worries'' me is that comparitevely, it's ''range'' is very limited to the Asetek and Simucube (2 million rotations vs 284 thousand or whatever it is). Their wheels though...amazing bang for buck!
    VRS Software isn't great (unless recently updated) but it has a strong base supporting them. Base itself it very industrial and definitely more wires/less clean to install but definitely right there.
    Fanatec/Moza...especially fanatec I'm worried about the company itself. Forgetting all the hardware etc, their complete lack of customer support (not a recent issue) is not something that should happen to a company that old!

      Thanks for the well thought out points. I appreciate it. And you’re right, they all have concerns but for me the order makes sense. The main point now is we have choice and variety. And that’s a great thing. 👍🏾

    • @550LMS
      @550LMS Před 3 měsíci

      agree. And greater competiton should see lower pricing as well. The deal now at microcenter in the states is incredible for simucube. Sadly not here in europe yet.

      Dave Cam apparently sold his Simucube and kept the Asetek.

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  Před 2 měsíci

      Yes. I saw that. I remember him saying he preferred the Asetek. I think in the end it’s just personal preference. I subjectively say the Simucibe is better but someone else may disagree. As long a we are happy with our purchase then I am cool. I like my VRS over the asetek but not over the Simucube. But the smoothness of the Asetek is better than my VRS. I love the rawness of the feedback of my base.

  • @RedlineRossi
    @RedlineRossi Před 3 měsíci +1

    Have you connected many 3rd party peripherals to the base, such as a different brand of pedals?
    Reason I ask is I want to get this base but get the simagic p1000 pedals and plug them directly to the type c ports
    Thanks

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  Před 3 měsíci +1

      I did not but you most assuredly can. It is a great feature of the Asetek bases. I could highly recommend the base alone. And those pedals I hear are really good.

  • @themadnes5413
    @themadnes5413 Před 2 měsíci +1

    Damn, so cheap for you guys. Im in Germany and Asetek is like a 4 hour drive away, and we still have to pay 1050€(incl. tax). For 671$? No brainer!

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Yeah that was a current promotion that was running at the time. They had the Simucube promotion as well that was a steal. Don't get them often but when we do, it is legendary.

  • @dirtyjerz32
    @dirtyjerz32 Před 3 měsíci +1

    Good review. I currently have the Invicta base. I’ve had the SC2 Pro and Fanatec DD1. I feel SC is the better over all base. I went Asetek because of the QR, but wish I still had my SC2.

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Thanks. I appreciate it. Yeah I feel Ike Asetek is a good second. A solid choice and the extras make it worth it for sure. The QR power solution is the best. But I feel like the SC2 is the gold standard still.

    Looking into buying a race rig. Mainly console games, techno parrot, forza all running thru a PC. Can you recommend a rig with wheel base, wheel, and pedals. Decent budget, just don’t want to go into this to cheap and wish I would have paid more money from the beginning. I do have a micro center about an hour away!! Thanks again!!

    • @grayzedynamics
      @grayzedynamics  Před 2 měsíci

      Well if I could go into it from scratch and had a decent budget I’d go with Simagic or the best in Simucube. But Simucube is much more pricey per NM. If you are playing on PC then I’d say Simagic, GT Neo entry wheel and P1000 pedals. I hear they are all great. That’ll get you an entire ecosystem that is really good. As far as rig, there are a ton. Trak Racer tr120 or 80 is more budget friendly. GT omega prime lite or even the TK pro chassis from Microcenter. The Asetek base is amazing, pedals are too stiff for me and wheels are not my fave. Another good and high quality wheel is the GSI X-29. Some you can grab from Microcenter and maybe they’ll have another big sale soon. Hit me up on discord if you need more info or here. 👍🏾
