Great scaling info! I just ran the benchmark on my rig. This is last-gen graphics but I was still surprised at the hit it takes with all quality settings maxed out. I was able to squeeze a few more FPS out by dropping the MSAA to 2x from 4x and then to enable MFAA in the Nvidia control panel for this game. Personally I feel anything above 4x/AA with a monitor at 1440p and above gets diminishing returns with increased frame rate hit.
My goal was just to get a minimum of 60fps at 1440p since I use V-sync and cap it, and after the tweaks I got it (V-sync off for test). The left number was at stock GPU Superclocked settings, the right number is with a core bumped 125MHz and memory bumped 140MHz:
Average - 69 / 73
Minimum - 60 / 63
Maximum - 82 / 87

I expected this game to run about like Autosport does, but it clearly takes a bigger hit. My Autosport bench numbers are about 20% higher at the exact same settings. Your info is valuable as I plan on getting a second 970 and a 1440p 120Hz G-Sync monitor and know what to expect.
Thanks!
Nfarce Nice work.
Paul LastLevelTech - Just got a second 970, both overclocked. Bench frames increased to 114/99/129 avg/min/max. Not scaling quite like I expected in other games either, averaging around a 52% increase, but for a pair of $350 cards, I'm not complaining!
i7 2600k @ 4.5 - Asus Rog matrix platinum 780 ti oc'd at 1095 - 2560x1440P - average 85fps plus on ultra max graphics. Great game.
Paul, are the Titans really that hot in game or is it just the config of your chassis/system? Good gameplay thou and performance look great. Keep up the great content.
haunuithree Thanks. Yes they are designed to scale up to 83-84 degrees during normal use and then the fans spin faster to keep them at those temps. The % value is the fan speed on each GPU. What I found was anything over 55% becomes quite audible but directing the 120mm side fan on my Fractal Design Define R4 made a significant decrease on the requirement for the Titan's fan speed to increase to an annoying noise level.
time for a i7 5960X soon :)
AeroFix94 Think it'll be waiting on Skylake or Broadwell-E.
see if thats better :)
Which 4k monitor do you use????
