I have gtx 970 and I get 29-67 fps on ultra settings and 8x MSAA .. will try your tips when I get home and let you know the results.

Graphics Comparison Might want to consider FXAA over MSAA or even lowering your MSAA to get those minimum frames up a bit. Hopefully removing the Enhance Distance Scaling will help you out too.
