- At long last and after a few final maintenance jobs, it's time to take the Honda C70 Passport for a spin up and down the street. What a lot of fun!

Thanks for sharing! Best wishes
Mike, this is by far the best instructional series I have ever seen. I've seen videos on solar power, gun restoration, sprinter van conversations, knife making etc. Your series gives me some confidence that I can get my old Suzuki running again. You are a great mechanic and a master CZcamsr. Hats off and CHEERS!
Thank you so much for your very kind words. I really appreciate it. I'm glad that you enjoy the channel and thank you very much for continuing to watch. Best wishes with your Suzuki! That sounds like a fun project, especially during this time. Take care. Mike
I owned that identical bike in 1975. That is basically a springer front suspension. Lock up the front brake on wet pavement and you are going down. But 60 miles per gallon and never lets you down.
Yep, I have kissed the deck with a Blue one of these.
Might have skidded on oil, but embarrassing
Looks like a fun little ride
Mi Ty, You are "The Bomb"! Thanks for all your videos. You helped me today putting in a neutral light bulb. You're a lifesaver. Cheers! :)
Thank you so much Rallen! I really appreciate your note. Best wishes, Mike
my first "Dirtbike" when I was like 13 good vid man
Great video I had a C90 in the 80/ts paid £30.00 for it they were fantastic bikes. Stay safe 🇬🇧👍🏻

Anout 2020 i dint know if they do 2020 model but honda super cub c125 2020 model its looking original and lovely 😊
What a lovely thing. I want one.
It was a great little bike and tons of fun. It's no wonder they have made 50+ million of them!
Mi Ty In Saudi Arabia they are extremely popular
It reminds me my 1970 Honda Mini Trail. 😊👍
Very cool! I loved those little Hondas. They were so much fun!
Good job on the restoration! I can't imagine the looks on the faces at your Norton club if you show up to a meet on this one. Ha ha ha!
+motonut haha, yes, I will be ex-communicated if they ever find out ;)
I wish I can have somebody to help me restore an old motorbike in here like this one
Best bike ever!
Hehe, it was a lot of fun working on that bike!
Good bike 👍🏼
Thanks! 👍
thanks for sharing this build. does a c70 really has a rattle on the left side of the engine while on idle?
Looks like you are in Oregon. I need help troubleshooting my cub. It mostly starts and runs but it’s been on and off lately. It looks exactly like yours.

I remember those sweet rides. Honda should reintroduce them.
Yes, the richer guys had those as they were a new bike then. They were as smooth as anything and pretty quick! Best wishes, Mike
I live in Vietnam right now and they reintroduced this bike last year. I know it is available in 50cc (no license required) and runs about 12m to 15m dong ($520-$650). I think bigger motors available (125cc).
How does the gear shift work? It’s down 1
And 2 up and 3 up and so on right?
Ainda compro uma motinha assim
Dear •• What is the appropriate oil viscosity for this motorcycle?
💙💛❤️💖💖
Parece que algumas peças são da Honda CB 400 . Lanterna traseira e piscas direcionais .
What's top speed
How many dollars?
Where do you find parts for this mine is missing faring.....
Aaron Son I got all the parts I needed on eBay. Cheers
Yours looks nice,,,, I have one but been sitting for very long time,,, Tried to start but wouldn't do you have any suggestions on how I can get this thing run I like to restore it....?
Aaron Son Hi Aaron, there are a lot of variables to consider. If it ran previously before it sat for a while, it should hopefully be relatively straightforward to get running again. I would recommend all the basic steps such as removing any old gas/petrol, changing or at least checking the oil, removing and cleaning the carburetor, checking the battery and installing a new one if necessary. Then check to see if you have a spark before trying to restart. Good luck with your project!
Thank You Sir...... Have great day!!
how do you change the gear?
Hi Iz Stan, I'm not quite sure what you're asking.. If you are asking how do you change gears while riding, then it is the foot pedal on the left hand side of the bike (as you sit on the bike). The gears automatically engage as you click on the gear-shift as it's an automatic transmission/gearbox. But if you are asking how to change the gear-box, then I did not change anything with the engine or transmission/gearbox. Hope this helps. Cheers, Mike.
His query was how's the shifting happening without clutch.
Right, I think I answered that.. the gears automatically engage as you click on the gear-shift as it's an automatic transmission/gearbox. There's no clutch lever with this model. Cheers.
Timing chain or pushrod??
User error 😉
Is this bike good for starters?
Hi, yes I would say that this is a perfect starter bike for anyone. I don't know where you live but my only concern would be that it is not fast enough to keep up with modern day traffic. So there is some risk in riding too slow in traffic. But I'm sure that a newer model of this same bike would be fine.
Mi Ty I think it's fine. Im thinking of getting myself one. One more question, does it have a fuel gauge/indicator?
Hi there. This year (1981) model does not have a fuel gauge/indicator. I'm not sure if the newer models do. I would guess that they do, but it's really easy to flip up the seat and check inside for the gas/petrol level. Or, you can set the odometer to zero every time you fill up to gauge how much gas you have left.
Luqman Nazery they also sell a faster aftermarket engine for these that do well in traffic called the Lifan
Shame you couldn't get the correct exhaust pipe. The one you have is a later version.
Thanks Erol, I didn't know that. Best wishes, Mike

But you left the choke on! ;)
Haha. Yes I realized afterwards! Was wondering why it was coughing a bit. Cheers..
I'm glad you responded! Do you happen to have a detailed video on setting the ignition timing just right? It's a rare setup!
Would happily subscribe for one :)
+Generic Motorcycle Name I'm sorry, I don't and I'm giving the bike back to the owner this week. It's been fun.
+Mi Ty thank you, though!
Is that a NY plate i see ?
Hi Anndy, I'm not sure. I think it was from the college that the owner's kid went to. Cheers, Mike
Mi Ty oo ok i was curious if you were in NY barely see C70s out here
Hi Anndy, I seem to remember that it was one of the Oregon colleges. We're in Portland, OR. Cheers, Mike
