- One of the questions I get all the time is "what CRM do you recommend?" And you know what... That's the wrong question! Every CRM is great but everyone of them is missing something that you want that would suddenly cause you to have magical success inside your business. So this is what I tell people: Whichever one you have is AWESOME! If you don't have a CRM, get one!

This is very useful - and we're not even estate agents! Great thought process you've set off in me - cheers
Powerful reminders. Thank you!
Thank you for making this video.
Love your energy and information!!
The most basic CRM (customer relationship management) software is a pen, paper, calculator and your phone. Oops, that's called hardware too without electricity, expensive computers, techies and what not. The gist here is to focus on your core business and let the rest be taken care of by relevant professionals. For example, if I have an IT question, I'd ask an IT guy and let him/her sort out nitty gritty of my needs according to my affordability. Spreadsheet software like Lotus 123 back in 80's started all this tecnological revolution in business but common sense is still very uncommon which was the point totally made so awesomely by this video of Tom Ferry. My first video watching experience related to Tom Ferry and totally floored by his wisdom. Hats off Tom! :)
You've brilliantly captured the essence - focus on your strengths and let professionals handle the technicalities.
nice work coach
Came up in my feed again great video love Contactually and Realty Commander togeather because they sync.
Great stuff!
I am the regional owner of RE/MAX Thailand and in our region are wasting a lot of time trying to work with CRM system that they are not even clear what they need to do with it. I agree with Tom 100%, the first thing that we need to understand is WHY and WHAT we need from our CRM system. once you know what you want it to do and you become the HUB then you go and choose the right CRM system. Only than the CRM system will do magics !!!
Please go to my channel and you will find their are more than 200 videos on CRM tutorials. These videos are great source of information.
Great Video!
Funny, we had the same problem. First question: which CRM is the best? They are indeed all OK but not perfect for you.. So we found Zago CRM, since they offer customization without a bigass price tag. We are very happy with this company. Our Social Media kickssssinn!
Nice work Coach!!! Good stuff that I will be sharing with my related people from my "Hub" ;-)
Hi Tom. I think you should do an video about free full featured CRM systems, like Bitrix24 or Hubspot. While concepts are great, tools are better. Let me give you an example. It's one thing to say 'you should communicate inside your company better' and another 'Get Slack, trust me'. I know a ton of companies that where totally transformed by Slack or Bitrix24 or Trello.
Under RESPA how does that agent get a referral fee aka kickback?
Success Summit 2016 was awesome! And here I am trying to switch CRM's and I find this video. You just made this so frickin' easy!!! Love you! Can hardly wait to start coaching (I'm in need of some escrows first!)
Thom thanks for coming to Summit! Coaching is amazing; you're going to love it!
You rock man
Beautiful
I've checked out about 8 CRM's and I understand making yourself the HUB, but will Contactually actually do what you're describing with a minimum of time invested in set-up and on going content?
The right CRM is the one you are going to use. There are so many CRMs out there you have to research the one that is best for you and your business.
Who uses kunversion?
All those products mentioned in this video, are not CRM at all.... they are some vertical lead management apps. A CRM is a big word, and a CRM are just a few, like SalesForce, Dynamics 365, Zoho etc...
I completely respect the point made here, and I understand Tom's position of not wanting to recommend or discuss a particular CRM company, but choosing a CRM and actually using it to run your business has considerable implications, especially if, as Tom regularly points out very well, one ever wants to sell that book of business they have invested years of time and money into developing. If the CRM is proprietary and does not allow the data to be exported, the future success/failure/acquisition/vanishing of that CRM company is a MAJOR risk factor in the value of the database. I think it's a huge deal to make the right choice in a CRM vendor, especially given the recent trend towards all-in-one, proprietary systems like BoomTown and Kunversion. They literally become your business.
So Luke, what CRM do you recommend. I've tried Plan Plus, Buffini, Outlook, IXact Contact, Top Producer, and looked at Sales Force. As none of those did what I needed and some took a long time to set up, what do you recommend?
Debra, I don't know what your needs are. You mentioned the ones you've tried to not do certain things. I recommend writing down every feature/integration you need from a CRM, then look at small business CRM software options on g2crowd.com and www.getapp.com and see how they compare with those needs. Salesforce will be major overkill for a small business. It's better for enterprise companies.
@DebraWilliams I can maybe find a better solution for you, contact me
here : app.integration.lab at gmail dot com and we will discuss that
together...
This is the most American thing that I have ever seen.
Hub 💰💰💰💰💰
I have to disagree. I have used Contactually... I have worked at Mortgage Returns and Vantage Productions. I am currently running sales at Cross Media. We have a CRM called Unify. I can promise you that it is the most complete CRM in the Mortgage Space.
You need a CRM to support the HUB. You need to have a CRM that speaks to each group with a specific message and make it count.
+Scott Benson The best CRM is the one that works best for you! :)
Microsoft Outlook is the best !!
I THINK THAT IS GENERALLY GOOD ADVICE IF YOU DON'T HAVE A 25 YEAR ESTABLISHED PRACTICE AND YOU HAVE NO INTEREST IN BEING A "HUB" I HAVE TOO MUCH BUSINESS AND NOT ENOUGH TIME. I HAVE KISSED LOTS OF FROGS WHEN I WAS THE HUB WHEN I WAS BUILDING MY PRACTICE. NOW LESS IS MORE AND MY TIME IS TO VALUABLE FOR MORE FROGS SO POINT BEING WHAT BRAND OR QUALIFY ME MORE TO MATCH ME WITH THE BEST SOFTWARE OR TO YOUR POINT IS THE RIGHT QUESTION THAT DOESN'T WANT TO BE THE HUB ANYMORE?
Tom is right, every CRM is missing something. They all do something real well but there is alway some that you want them do the can not do. Why not design your own CRM for your businesses specific needs? Guys, you have try PODIO. The system is totally customizable and highly automatable.

That isn't true.... COMMISSIONS INC is by far the best CRM that I've worked with. It has absolutely everything that I want. It's amazing. I've left CINC and have found myself comparing every other CRM that I've demo'd to CINC. Trust me people... Commissions, Inc is absolutely killing the CRM game.
Is it?
