    Thanks, can we do this at home? Without special tool?

    Do i need to replace injectors or can i just clean everything without changeing injectors? As i suspect my pump is bad. Getting limpmode around 2k RPM sometimes, But if i manual shift from 3k rpm i can ride every gear out without any problem, also cranking like 5 seconds before start. fault codes 004570 and 004560

      to be sure you need to check the condition of the injectors on the injector testing stand (bench)

    Hello Hint Slice, thank you for your video.
    I have a question what happens if you do not connect the wire, that you are connecting to the High Pressure pump, in 13:37 of your video and then tried to start engine with this wire (High Pressure Control Valve) unpluged?
    It will damage the high pressure pump?

    • @HintSlice
      @HintSlice  Před 6 měsíci +1

      I don't think you can damage H.P. pump in tha way because the pump in the fuel tank is pumping fuel in to the system when you start the engine. High pressure pump must be out of fuel completely to be damaged m.czcams.com/video/08l3O8JueGo/video.html

      Thanks a lot for your explanation.
      I have a 2012 F11 that has never given me any problems so I took it to a workshop to change the timing chains.
      However, I was called to tell me that the van, after changing the chain, still worked for half an hour, they say, and then stopped and wouldn't start again, they looked at it and they said it was the diesel injection pump that fell apart in the engine and sent filings to the injectors and the diesel circuit.
      I want to ask if this problem can happen due to any negligence of the workshop?
      Thank you very much.

      @@pedromonteiro3288 if there was no intervention in the fuel system on their part, then I think that it may be a coincidence.

    Hello
    Is it possible to change the high pressure control valve without taking anything off? Or do I need to take something off in order to access it?

    • @HintSlice
      @HintSlice  Před 2 měsíci

      Hi. I think taking off the throttle valve will give you more access to the h.p. ctrl valve . On 11:30 czcams.com/video/qz_pTONZ3CU/video.htmlsi=DOHMurwcZFdmeBGs

    So recently had the dreaded cp4 hpfp give way on my 520d so have replaced pump with brand new unit,replaced injectors and cleaned out system. Car now runs however when i floor it, it throws up fault 247500 fuel pressure plausibility but goes away when car is stopped and restarted🤷‍♂️anyone experience this?

    • @HintSlice
      @HintSlice  Před 19 dny

      Hi. Do you install new injectors? Because i was reading about this fault and the reason was in one of the injector it was draining to much fuel in to te return line insted of supply and this fault apears like in your case when accelerating.

      @@HintSlice hi fitted one brand new injector and 3 used injectors from a low mileage 13 plate 520. I took the car for another run this evening and hammered it up through the revs and it was absolutely fine so i’m hoping it was just a glitch🤞

    My cp4.1 has just fsiled f11 n47. Ppl say i must replace whole fuel system as metal will fit through the diesel filter. Whats your experience with that thought mate

    • @HintSlice
      @HintSlice  Před měsícem +1

      first of all you need to check the injectors on the test bench for the damage and if injectors fail replace them. Then you will have to clean: all fuel lines, fuel tank, electric fuel pump in the fuel tank(most of the time electric pump is not damaged), change the fuel filter, change high pressure fuel pump, bleed the fuel system, start the engine and You Ready to Go.czcams.com/video/qz_pTONZ3CU/video.htmlsi=EAcRcWXPTx0aj5FJ

      @@HintSlice I think the issue also is that the F10/11 saddle tank only opens on one side unlike your BMW. Any ideas on cleaning the side with no access?

    • @HintSlice
      @HintSlice  Před měsícem +1

      @@caldwell1981ac First, what came to mind was to take it off and flush. A second option without removing the fuel tank is to try pumping out all the fuel with metal shavings and making something like a bigger version of the cotton buds to clean inside the fuel tank. Of course, if there is enough space to do this procedure.

      Hi can hpfp be replaced without timing tools as its on a keyway and the special tool holds the sprocket?? Many thanks

    • @caldwell1981ac
      @caldwell1981ac Před 25 dny

      @@glenspence6016 yes glen you need to remove the sprocket cover at the back of the engine. It's a 17mm spanner cap. Then insert fully the sprocket holding special tool. Then with tool in place remove the torque in the center remove pump. Timing tool remains untill new pump is fitted.

    Do you have to take the valve cover and intake manifold off?

    • @HintSlice
      @HintSlice  Před 7 měsíci +1

      In this case someone (but not me) dismounted injectors and intake manifold. But any way you need to dismount intake manifold so it would be more space to remove H.p pump. And theres no need to remove injectors and valve cover atleast you need to replace injectors or copper washers or valve cover gasket
