  • After replacing High-pressure fuel pump in 2.0d N47 engine I recommend you to look inside the fuel tank for any sights of metal shavings.
    So in this video you will see: cleaning of the fuel tank not removing it from the car. Cleaning fuel system components from metal shavings that was caused by failure of the High-pressure fuel pump. Fuel filter replacement. Bleeding fuel system without scan tools.Engine starting, assembling under the hood parts.
    Engine: 2.0d N47.

      @@HintSlice is there a specified torque for the pump locking nut?

      @HintSlice  Před 5 měsíci

      @@rob3865 there is a little hole in the nut that you need to align with an arrow on the car body ( if Im correct).On 1:28 I just marked with a marker and thats it, not paying attention to any manufacturer marks ;)

    Thanks for this great tutorial. My question is with the injectors. I understand that I first open the fuel pressure nut of the first injector while the other three nuts are closed. I activate the fuel pump with 12v for a few seconds and close this first nut. Then, I loosen the nut on the next injector and start the pump again. I repeat this procedure until all 4 injectors are complete. So, only one nut is loose at any given time. Is that correct?

      Hi. Yes that is correct

    hi, how long it did it take if cranking for the engine to start? thanks. you’re videos helped me do my hpfp on my f11

      Hello, I don't remember for sure, but it takes something like from 1 to 2 minutes may be 3 but with pauses. It's like you crank it up for 30sec if it doesn't start, just apply power to the electric fuel pump again, and it will start. There are no complaints from the owner of this car about starting any way, so dont worry. And onother way you can fill the system using hand pump (but with 100% clean fuel ) thru the injector high pressure pipe. Just connect hand pump hose to the one of the injectors HP pipe, slacken union nuts on the other 3 injectors and pump in fuel until only fuel come out without air bubbles then tight everything back plug in connectors and l think engine will start very quick. I will show this pfocedure in next video (not long ago I do this on passat b7 2.0tdi and engine starts right away) But remeber fuel must be 100% clean.

    What is the easy way to look for metal?

    • @HintSlice
      @HintSlice  Před 2 měsíci +1

      you can cut open the fuel filter with scissors and see if there are any metal shavings
      or by removing fuel pressure regulator on the high pressure pump

      @@blackace4423 well then step two remove fuel pressure regulator on the high pressure pump.
      And what is the problem with your engine? I mean what is the condition?
