Join us on this leisurely sail out of San Diego into the waters of Mexico. We're still figuring out how to sail with a gennaker on our Beneteau 35, so please point out our mistakes :).
I was taught to block the wind behind the gennaker with the mainsail, during setting and dousing the sail. This will make the gennaker easier to manage. I enjoyed your sons explanation of lift.
@@WilderSailing I need your friends! We will have a factory code zero and will likely get either an ulman, quantum, or North Sails asymmetric down the road
@@SVEverydaysailor I would love to have a code zero. Yeah this sail came us totally unexpected as it was sitting in someone's garage who was no longer sailing. Practically a brand new sail in a super dirty bag.

Thx for the comment! We're still working out the gennaker. Getting more confident each time.
Who made your asymmetric?
North Sails... It was gifted to us just recently.
