- oh my,the first time i fought this boss i dies about 15 times and 2 years up the good old timeline to now i died once and this is my fastest ever eidolon fight so far

I think out of the entire cast, Sazh is the only one that I genuinely liked and wanted to see succeed.
Such a well written character man.
This scene was the most emotionally powerful scene in the game. I still tear up watching it

"It's not over." Man, how many times I needed someone to say that? And it had to be myself. The music is powerful.
By far the most powerful scene in the entire game. Sazh's storyline was certainly the best. While I do question some of the moments the creators had the other Eidolons come in (mainly Vanille's...and Snow's was purely to show them off), this was so perfect it gave even more power to the scene since Sazh was at the point of giving up and wanting to die.
I don't know, Vanille's Eidolon was pretty great in a unique way! I mean, for most characters it comes out at a very emotional moment (which, btw, Snow's was clearly about his despair over being unable to free Serah). But what's special about Vanille's Eidolon is that it was Fang's doing! By this point the characters know what triggers their appearances, and Fang used that to reveal the truth. She makes Vanille believe that Fang is responsible for the whole mess, that she has to bear all the burden, all the responsibilities, all the guilt. Which in turns make Vanille bear the actual guilt, which makes the Eidolon appear!
I kinda like that! How the characters used that plot point to reveal stuff about each other!
And even better, it worked, since Sazh got to reunite with an awakened Dajh at the end.
It's scenes like this that made FFXIII one of my favorite games this gen. The most surprising part of it though is that with the music taken away, this scene loses almost 3 quarters of its emotional impact. Which just goes to show how talented Mr. Hamauzu really is.
This may have not been the best Final Fantasy, and may even be labeled as one of the worst by many. But man... Sazh has to be on the top of the list for awesome Final Fantasy characters.
I just love his Sugar and Rainbows dialogue and compared to the other 5 characters, he had the better story in my opinion. Sucks that he kinda became the "backseat" character of the party later on...and also didn't get the most compelling part in the sequel
Welp gameplay suck but still form me the best FF story so far
He fought for his son. Other than general survival, he had no other reason to fight as long as his son was near.
This scene was so powerful, Sazh is one of my favorite FF characters of all time.
Also totally random, but I still hate how Vanille moans during boss battles. >.

Sazh is my favorite FF character.And I've been playing since FF1.

This is great. The phantom sazh really personifies all of her insecurities and guilt. However it couldnt be further from the reality. Despite sazh feeling that way to a certain degree, he doesnt act on it. This whole scene is so emotionally cathartic.

His gestalt mode is so clean, out of the characters' gestalt mode! Just hops into his eidolon while it sweeps him up!😮😃

Brynhild is so tough when you fight her. Then when I use her, her attacks become shit.
I loved this game. I don't try to defend it because I don't really think anybody can fault that in many respects, there were a lot of things wrong with it. Your enjoyment of a game pretty much depends on your ability to look past it's faults, and I could look past everything wrong with this game because I loved the battle system, loved the characters, loved the story and the linearity (people's main complaint) didn't bother me at all. One of my favorite games ever :)

This was a pain in the ass but finally defeated that f*ing piece of whatever the fuck it is
this makes me wonder when the eidolon's disappear do they just disappear or do they return back into the ball thing lightning and snow had to shoot later or do they go into the brands on their bodies?
Sazh's Eidolon reveals itself to him, ready to either empower him or put him out of his misery. A fight ensues, and the impact of the the prior and immediately proceeding scenes is completely tarnished, no, raped, by the fact that the fight ends with the Eidolon entering Bayformers-esque transformation sequence INTO A GODDAMN SPORTS CAR! SAZH THEN PROCEEDS TO JOVIALLY JUMP IN AND DO ****ING DONUTS!
They then act like that shit didn't even happen, WTF

this was the easiest eidolon battle in the game also u dont need to use shrouds ying yang and dualcasting is enough im watching this for the most epic cutscene in the game
