Yet again, just as the title says, this is all of Jihl Nabaat's cutscenes from FFXIII, compiled into one neat clip that I made in iMovie.
Note: These are not the full cutscenes; I cut them down to where they mostly featured Jihl, so there will be scenes missing before and after most, if not all, of the clips.

no matter how much of a bitch she was, Jihl had some serious potential to be a kick-ass villain. sure, she's a human and doesn't have magic, but just as a person she had some serious villain swag and would've been interesting to fight.
Jihl Nabaat should have been the main antagonist of XIII. Hear me out, there was just so much going on for her. She represents the machiavellianism personality perfectly with her being very intelligent. If she was, then XIII would have also been the first and only Final Fantasy with both a leading female protagonist and a female antagonist. Wasted potential because they both parallel each other perfectly as is. One comes off as cold, heartless, but is really genuine inside while the other seemingly friendly, but is ruthless and sadistic inside.
To be honest that would be interesting to see. Then the series would have more female main villains besides just Ultimecia, Ultima (in a way), Illua, and Remedi
@RockRobster27 Yes, those are good points. But the thing is this, Nabaat's fate was sealed at 8:05 giving Barthandelus the impression that she's out of her depth. Moreover, acting on good intentions to save Barthandelus from the main crew at 9:07 shows that Nabaat underestimated Barthandelus's power. If she couldn't stop Lightning and the rest at certain points in the game, then all her scheming and intelligence counts for nothing as Barthandelus comes to loathe Nabaat and takes her out.
@@johndonwood4305 your comment literally circles back to why I said she should have been the main antagonist and not how they did her in the actual game. She could have been an artificial I’Cie if she already wasn’t as seen in XIII-2. She could have had a grand scheme of harvesting a Fal’Cie’s power for her own benefit. Furthermore it would show that the true evil was never Fal’Cie, I’Cie or any gods for that matter. Rather humankind itself with a heart as wicked as hers.
She was definitely more interesting than annoying old man Gysley.
Such a character like Jihl Nabaat had so much potential to be one of the best villains in any FF games. It's such a shame Square-Enix didn't take the time to develop her to her full potential. Hell, I would choose to fight Jihl over that retired pope (Barthandelus) any day.
They included her in a DLC

i can't believe she played such a small role. she had a really nice character design -- and no, i'm not talking about her annoyingly distracting bosoms. she had really pretty eyes and facial features imo.

She was the most vindictive Villian in the game. Such a shame they killed her off. She could have been great.

Final Fantasy XIII had one of the most underwhelming casts, but Jihl was an amazingly interesting character with so much potential. In fact she was so much of an outstanding character in this cast that I would have actually loved to see her in the main cast, as some sort of "frienemy" to Lightning and the others. Making her join Lightning after Dysley betrayed her for the sole intention of taking down Dysley and eventually rising back to power. An anti hero, so to say. Sharing the same enemy with Lightning and the others, but being the only one among the group that cannot be trusted and has a different goal. Would have made Lightning's group a lot more interesting too. Plus, since she's a competent user of artifical magic and can imitate L'Cie Power with technology, it would work out in gameplay too. For her Eidolon she would only need to summon a powerful Sanctum beast instead, like she does in FF XIII-2.
***** It really was, and I was glad FFXIII-2 gave her a chance. It felt very rushed in FXIII. I mean she is a high ranking officer, even praised to possess a "champion's caliber", and idiotically implied to could have potentially caused the death of Lightning and her team if it hadn't been for Etro's blessing. Yet they don't see anything wrong with her being so incapable that a single ruin is enough to take her out.
Dude. That wouldda been nice to experience. Too bad SE rushed the game n couldn't deliver such amazing plot. I mean Lightinig had Fang but what if Naabat would also be there too?

Having a playable Nabaat would've been so cool. She's already playable in 14-2, so a moveset for her would be reasonable with magitek. I really do feel like her playstyle and battle in 14-2 was supposed to be in the first game, but wasn't finished and rushed past.
Evil or not... I'm in love with her already.
If they really wanted to kill her off, they should have let us fight her first when she attempts to 'protect Barthandelus', before switching to a cutscene where he disposes of her
Okay one thing I have to point out. She has a sheath for her baton. I question this.
Ugh. Agreed. Jihl SO should've been 13's main villain. Not that Barthandelus was a bad choice. Just that Jihil had SO much more meat to her than he did. Had SHE been the main villain, and a different story had been used, 13 would've improved EXPONENTIALLY.
Plus, as a personal taste, I was waiting for a female protagonist/female antagonist combo in an FF game, but they HAD to go the other way and give us another typical male villain instead.
I loved her character (as sadistic as she was.) There was so much more that could have been done with her development. Instead she just gets zapped in the back.
paula tiso is amazing, great voice over work for both jihl and lulu.
From the trailers and the demo, I was expecting her to be a more antagonistic character until Dysley offed her...
Edit: wow, so she was pushed as this baddie from the trailers, but from what was depicted here, was her under ten minutes of cutscenes.
Would've loved to see Jihl and Lightning face off at least once. 😔😔😔

I would pay to see an alternate story where Jihl becomes a pulse l'cie. It would be awesome.

why is it all the good characters in this shitty series die but they leave the shitty characters alone?
Jihl was the only character I actually cared about in FFXIII, but too bad her role was so small. Given her ample bosom, the devs could have included a beach scene where she wore bikini to showcase the graphics engine! FFXIII overall was too bland and boring, it needed more exciting things and a beach scene with featuring Jihl or Vanille would have been nice!

By make it rain she just means for them too make the weather room rain. Because the guy said that Light and etc. were in the weather room so yeah. :3

XD I see no reason Jihl had to die. ESPECIALLY considering you fought Yaag Rosch like 3 times (bullets and crashing vehicles didn't kill him, but SPOILER onlyanexplosionSPOILER can? I mean, all Jihl took was a Ruin to the back.. -.-
You fight all other soldiers (Cid and Yaag), but not her. The only explanation I can think of is that SquareEnix was showing how powerful Barthandelus would be if he can kill a person with a simple ruin spell.

At first when I heard about the DLC of Jihl Nabaat, I was torn. On one hand "Yay I finally get to fight her"! On the other "Why didn't they do this in FFXIII? WTF?" That all changed when I found out that once I beat her in XIII-2, I got the ability to use her IN COMBAT!!! A FF villain fighting WITH ME?!?!?! That was when said "Thank you SE!!!"
She is a hell of a better villain than Dysley! He's so boring and dry. No energy. Just listening to him makes me want to sleep out of boredom. With FF villains you should always be wanting to encounter them no matter how much you hate them.
In fact, you should love to hate them and you should be looking forward to their boss fights. I was with Jihl, only to find you couldn't even fight her and as for Dysley...he bored me to tears.
You know, if you cut off her hair, and take off her glasses... she looks a hell of a lot like Jill Valentine. Look at 8:11
I liked that the lady who played Lulu from FFX played her :D I was really annoyed and surprised when she just died out of no where like that though I was like "oh...wtf..?" lol
Well, you're in luck! In Final Fantasy XIII-2, there is now a Coliseum DLC to fight her! She is a great Saboteur and is troubling to even a fully-leveled party!
Dammit all. Why did that happen? A character like her just to be taken out with one blast? Bullshit.
Huh... So I guess that that Ruin that killed her in Final Fantasy XIII was really all it takes to kill her?

@lokai20 I agree. I think since the only weapon shown was a pointer (or was it some sort of sword?) it'd kind of be pointless to fight her (compared to the weapons of everyone else)...
...O.O....then again, they most likely cut her out because she'd probably fight a LOT like Lightning--flipping all over the place and slicing and stabbing things...Yeah, that's probably it (also considering that you fought female Sanctum and PSICOM soldiers, but only MALE Guardian Corps ones (no Light clones))

I'm so fucking dissapointed that Final Fantasy 13 had the best characters, and yet it was easy and boring. Thank god FFXIII-2 is raising final fantasy to it's former glory and double thank fuck for giving Jihl Nabaat the boss fight she deserves!!!

If 13-3 comes out she'll have opportunity to return, as Valhalla is "timeless". Saying this, although I enjoyed 13-2, and gameplay wise it had some improvements to 13, the storyline made little sense with the original 13, which was thought out very well. Caius was a good villain and some great concepts in the game, but overall the story was poor. Her being killed was a shock, but it wasn't exactly a critical game-defining moment. Another character could've been used to the same purpose

Ff13 honestly only had 3 interesting characters. Jihl and Lightning who are good r34 material then finally Galenth. The villain who barely got interest compared to the other two main villains.
