It's been a while since I talked about Legend of Zelda, and since Nintendo released a teaser trailer for Breath of The Wild 2, I figured it was about time we revisited the franchise. I've talked a LOT about this world, its timelines, and pretty much every version of Link there is - so what's left? Well Theorists, today we are doing some heavy lifting and figuring out just how strong our hero Link REALLY is!

According to my (very rough and probably wrong) calculations, estimating starting conditions of-
      200 meter throw height,
0.75 seconds to reach max throw height
0.2 acceleration period where he holds onto the pillar
mass of the pillar given in the video
I estimate that the force he is applying over that 0.2 second period is 1.6 billion N or 37 million lbs.
I may have gotten some conditions incorrect or something but overall I would say somewhere in the ballpark of this range.
EDIT: I forgot to factor in gravity into my calculation, so the true force that he would be applying would be the force I said above added to the force of gravity acting on that pillar, making it even more than what I said.

@@jimmybowman6294 As we see in Milky Way Wishes (same game the planet splitting feat comes from) Popstar is the largest planet in the kirby universe, and is even larger than it's own sun, however this all means nothing as the sun and moon could be the two boss enemies from earlier games, however, in Milky Way Wishes one could argue that there's a bit of perspective trickery going on, as you can see kirby huge in comparison to Popstar when in Megaton Punch he isn't even visible on the surface.
Basically the math at absolute minimum would be like Kirby compared to the sun compared to Popstar which would probably yield an insane amount of force.
But that's not even his best feat, his best is definitely the "World Crisis" in star allies, where he bats an insanely large meteor 9999 lightyears and smashes it through multiple celestial bodies along the way, all in about 5-10 seconds.

Well, adding the Skulker boxes to the equation would probably decrease the weight from a block of gold, due to likely being multidimensional in nature, and thus, shunting it's mass into another dimension, making it less affected by gravity. (Plus this fits with Skulkers projectiles). Plus, all item entities in Minecraft float in water, meaning they have a density lighter than water. Yes, even the blocks of gold. This is something intrinsic to the world, not just Steve, as TNT, Creepers, and other explosions, will also result in blocks being turned into item entities.

M = volume (V) x density (p) The coefficient of friction is the proportion of F/N. It gets slightly more tricky when on a slope or calculating work to push a load for a distance. Here, he's only calculating the force to overcome the static force of friction for an instant.

Uh, Steve can carry 2304 m³ of most substances, including granite (or more if you count Shulker boxes, but those might not count because they’re from the End and might have extradimensional hammerspace properties). That’s almost 9 times as much, plus he can do that with gold instead (a bit over 7 times as dense). That’s over 60 times as strong, at least. I don’t think that counts as holding his own, although being within two orders of magnitude is still impressive.
