thanks for the video. my eml and asc lights just came on on my 2000 320. I think i have the m52 engine. my obd reader says the potiometer is bad. is that the same as the butterfly sensor? can i just replace that or do i have to get a whole new throttle body? how do I clean it? the mechanics here are telling me 150,000 yen, like 1500 bucks US. I live in Japan. oh, and doesnt it need to be reprogrammed once its reinstalled? thanks in advance for your answers.
Will the electronic throttle body cause my car to turn off if it’s bad?(my car starts up w starter fluid but won’t stay on)it was a crank no start before I used the fluid help me 😂
Good video. I am trying to clean the throttle body in my 2002 325i. The issue I’m having is, either from factory, or previous owner installed the clamps on intake boot closest to throttle body and the smaller boot next to it upside down. So the head of bolt is facing down instead of up. So I need to use a screwdriver or 1/4 socket from below vs from the top. Anyone have any suggestions on how to do that? I’m thinking I might need to cut air intake boots to clean the throttle body then replace intake boots with new ones and make sure I use clams right side up. Any ideas anyone??
For anybody else reading this, just cut the boot off and replace it (with the hose clamps in a more agreeable orientation!). BMW factory workers assemble the engine in apparent ignorance that it will be... you know, inside a CAR at some point :)
Thank you so much for your video, i need to replace mine and your video is very helpfull. Have a great day!

The F tube mounting was already broken, as it has sealant holding it on to the upper intake boot.

Yes take apart the car piece by piece until you get to it
Clamp. Not bracket..
Good video but you have to be alittle more smooth on describing the procedure kept losing you on your explanations
Nice video. Makes me not wanna do it. Damn its a lot of work xd.
You didn’t even show me how to get the throttle body out.
