Thank you Claire. As an older subscriber, I can remember reading Lorna Doone in my teens,it was a popular classic then. I very much enjoyed it I haven't read it since,so it would be interesting to read again. I can't believe that I only recently discovered Elizabeth Jane Howard. I've just finished the light years and fell in love with it. Will be on to book 2 soon. Catherine Cookson was also a staple of my younger years.📚👜❤
I use read Catherine Cookson all the time got them from the library . Live in Australia .I have the tv series of them.❤

I agree with all the people who have said you’ll love Barchester Towers! (And I felt the same way as you about the Warden.) Dissolution is so interesting and gritty. I loved it.

I read Lorna Doone when I was about 14. I've been thinking of rereading it for a while. Maybe now is the time.

You weren't even born when Charles married Diana..... *sigh* I was in primary school and I can remember vividly the radio station playing "Charlies getting married at last" over and over (it was a real song) and singing it to myself as I walked to school. I can remember staying up all night to watch the wedding and thinking Diana was a beautiful fairy princess. I'm so excited that you get to relive the moment so to speak, but it was a living piece of history for me. I think the book was well worth the pound!
And talking of all things wedding related..... is that an upgraded engagement ring I spy on the tiny little hand of yours?
I was a toddler when she died 😅 Re. My ring: Yes, Ben surprised me with a ring (the type/style we originally planned on getting - long story 😅) for our anniversary but I just wear it on special occasions ❤️

Hi Claire! I hope all is well with you. I really enjoyed your video. Last year I was in the UK in Great Malvern for a friend's wedding in the Priory. While there, I discovered an excellent book shop called The Malvern Bookshop. Have you ever been there? One of the many books I purchased there and brought back to Minnesota was Lorna Doone in hardback for 3 pounds. I have not yet had a chance to read it due to other books I am reading, which currently is The Black Arrow by Robert Louis Stevenson that I also purchased in The Malvern Bookshop, but I do plan to read it.
