I've got one of these slapped on the back of a 1964 dyer midget, it is fun as all get out to putter around in but doesn't look half as nice as what you've got there
i have one got it free not working seven years ago, rebuilt the carb and ran every year until now, float was stuck as it poured fuel from carb, rebuilt carb again, doesnt run like it used to now, any idea where u hav the top and bottom needle valves (slow and hi speed rich and lean knobs) set at to start/run so good?
@@vonnnov The water level shouldn’t have a huge effect on weather the engine starts. You need 3 things for the engine to run. Fuel, spark, and compression. If you have all 3, it should run. Also, I started my engine without choke most of the time. If its really cold, maybe one pull with choke, then I turn the choke off. For yours, it would depend on the condition of the engine / fuel system and how it is tuned.
@@Venomrs4 ty for the help, I bought a new spark plug, should I just look up "boat motor compression" to learn about it? Or is there a specific part I can just replace. Im familiar with spark plugs... not compression
awesome
Unusual colour combination. I have not seen this light blue colour on one of these motors before. Beautiful little motor!
The first with perfect settings and a sound as it should be.
My friend just gave me one of these little engines.. it’s been sitting in his garage since 1983.. wonder how hard it would be to get it running again
redo the carb, gas line, check for blockage in the tank, new spark plug, make sure it has spark, if no clean the points, thats about it

I just got one of these but I’m not sure what fuel ratio to run and what type of oil I was hoping you could help me out
I run 43:1. 3 ounces of oil per gallon of gas. Use a high quality 2 stroke oil.
I got the water covering the blades in a bucket... still won't start, does the water have to be as high as yours to start?
And I'm assuming u have the choke pulled out all the way at first

This one is very nice! Want to sell it? : )
He must’ve repainted that himself. Mine is a lot deeper/darker blue. Almost that good of shape, not quite though
I have one in this color, definitely original 😊
