    This worked perfectly. I had to download the program somewhere else but it works. However, I think there is something important you forgot to mention: once you do the process and restart your PC, you absolutely need to install windows on that go.
    If you're planning to do what I was doing (checking that it works, go back to Windows, save my files and then install windows again), then you're "screwed" because even if you select to boot from the disc where you had windows installed (in my case it was a different drive.
    An SSD), it won't boot to windows; I'll take you to the windows installation process automatically.
    I said "screwed" in quote because you still can save your data with the Command Prompt. You just need to know how to navigate through it and you should be safe, but lost people don't know how to do that.
    Since I was not able to boot back to windows, what I did was get to the partitions (where I select which driver I'm going to install windows on), formatted and deleted the partition with the windows files (to see if maybe that way it'd allow me to boot to windows again), but no luck. It says there's no bootable device.
    I now have to wait until tomorrow because I don't have an USB drive to install windows right now.

    • @MaikelAt
      @MaikelAt Před 2 lety

      @@tophat5481 you can borrow an USB drive from any of your friend. It just needs to be at least 8GB. Download the tool from the Microsoft website that allows you to download and install windows 10 in a USB drive or download the .iso file. Of course, you'll need another PC and internet connection to do that.

    • @NuclearGameVideos

      I ran into problems after the installation was complete. Computer would not boot from the newly installed c partition, instead it was trying to boot from the partion where windows installation files were copied.
      I was getting the 'Operating system not found error' after I rebooted. I had to buy a flashdrive and install the copy of windows again to fix this.

    I used wincdemu to mount iso and extract that way, then copied contents to partition I made using aomei partition manager, that I set as primary drive. My question is in there there's an option to set drives as active within aomei partition manager, could I use that after using bcd 2.3 to point to boot.wim as add entry? Or should I just stick to the CMD prompt method?
