You'll like this one. I know you like Meat Loaf, and this song was written by Jim Steinman who wrote many of Meat Loaf's songs. It was originally meant for Meat Loaf, but Steinman felt it was a "woman's song". Meat Loaf did eventually record this song years after Celine recorded it. It is on his album Bat Out Of Hell III: The Monster Is Loose.

Céline is my favorite artist of all of times. I discovered her when I had 7 years old and now I have 30.
I've changed my taste in music a lot of times (not so much, I'm a rock woman) but always come back to her. She's The DIVA, out of this world. A professional singer who takes care of us, her fans, constantly. She respects her career, she sings with her hole heart every song.
Her voice is sweet and powerfull, and And has too many beautiful songs.
Her love for Rene was incredible! He’s gone and she started loving him when she was very young! He’s the only one she ever loved. Super strong love story. Heartbreaking loss when he died😔🙏

I would like to see you react to the Original singer of Power of Love and actual writer of the song is Jennifer Rush. Rush wrote and sang it in 1984 and Celine’s version took hold in 1995. Would like to see who’s version you prefer. Thanks

Celine Dion uses her 5 octave range with little effort.

She does not have a 5 octave range. Her range is 3 octaves 3 notes, the last time I checked. But that is still freaking' amazing. The range of a singer is not what really matters; it is the tone, power, agility, and pure expressiveness of the voice within a given range. Whitney Houston had a slightly smaller range, and sang at a lower pitch than Celine Dion, but we all know how unbelievably beautiful and incomparable her voice is too.
@@prabhuthomas8770 according to google and a few other sources on the net she has a 5 octave range I guess they must be wrong. You are right according to her wikipedia profile she does have a 3 octave range, I guess you can't believe everything google says.

The amazing thing is her vocals. She could literally sing the phone book and it would sound like an epic ballad. Lots of people can sing, but very few have such a well-trained and pitch perfect instrument as her voice. Diva status

This is a nice song, but when it was first released, I got tired of it in a hurry. I was modeling for bridal fairs and fashion shows, and this song was always played during the time we modeled the bridal gowns, and the guys modeled tuxedos.
It was also played at a few weddings that I attended. This is the first time I've dared to listen to it since then. I needed a long break. LOL!

Hi India. I just watched you react to Celine Dion and "The Power of Love". You were impressed with her vocal abilities/control. You concluded she was singing about her lover. I believe she was too. However her lover was her husband Rene. He started out as her manager as she was a minor. Their love affair was very controversial but eventually the world came to understand it was a true love match. Having children was difficult for them and she took time off to do fertility treatments. They were successful. Celine is a widow now and I believe she has returned to her career but not sure. I've heard others react to her and they've questioned her slight accent. When she's singing in English she's singing in a second language, French is her mother tongue. She and Rene were both French Canadians. Thought you'd enjoy the backstory.
