Maurice played keyboard. His joy was being into instruments, electronics. He knew exactly where to jump in to each song, to bring it all together. He was very happy in his role in the trio. He as well as Barry, and Robyn, brilliant. Pronounced, Mor-iss. Great reaction! Loved it.

The Bees Gees are/were true masters in composition!! This is my favorite piece that they wrote for someone other than themselves. They have/had a way to really tap into the quality vocal abilities that other performers have. R. I. P. Robin and Maurice!! Barry, you’re still amazing and you and your younger twin brothers are a true masterpiece that will always be remembered!!

Absolutely a song that should be played more often. This song "Immortality" totally surpasses "My Heart Will Go On", with its subtle yet immense emotional heft. This is a song I am certain has been dedicated to many loved ones of others who have since passed or the absolute end of a marriage or relationship that ended due to irreconcilable differences but the love remains. It is a song I strongly relate to. An excellent collaboration and music video!

What a great reaction, Dereck! Did you know that Celine performed this during the Grammys Tribute to the Bee Gees in 2017? It was the highlight of the tribute. And Celine was very emotional dedicating the performance to the departed Gibb brothers and to her husband and brother who died only days in between each other. She looked distraught and really melancholic but she still blew the performance out of the water. Please react to it as well. 🙏
I agree it was a highlight but also Keith Urbans rendition of To Love Somebody at that tribute stands out.
I saw that, I could not stop crying. Her tribute performance was much more powerful than what you see in this video.

Bee gees were a great group.
This song was written specifically for Celine by Barry. The only recorded version is the same as the live. The making of music video is a must see, they are each in awe of the other. So much humility & mutual respect. At one point listening to playback Barry tears up hearing Celine bringing his vision to life. The harmonies were very immediate & natural which speaks to the talent & range of all 4 of them.
This is such a gorgeous sone. Always loved i it. It blends so well with The Bee Gees so well because The Bee Gees wrote it. They are just as good, if not better, at writing, as singing.
Hey bro this was written by the Bee Gees and they recorded it with Celine. They also wrote and did backing vocals for Diana Ross’ Chain Reaction and Dionne Warwick’s Heartbreaker, they also wrote the huge Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers hit Islands In The Stream. There may be others. So as well as their own extensive back catalogue which they wrote and recorded as the Bee Gees stretching back to the 1960’s they had a hand in giving other recording artists sone success! Sad to think now that only Barry survives. Sad also that long before the passing of Maurice and Robin they had a younger brother Andy, also a singer who passed away way too early 😢
If you can check out I Started A Joke from the same show, I think they recorded it circa 1968, Robin does lead vocals, it’s hauntingly beautiful ❤️

Just FYI, it was never released as a single here in the US. Sony thought the Bee Gees still carried the "disco stigma" so they decided to release To Love You More from her Let's Talk About Love album instead.

I would say, no one writes better in my opinion. Barry has written over 1,000 songs for them and many other celebrities. They also have 100#1 hit singles...there is a list that they did the ranking themselves. I have to find that again. Anyway, that is why I think there is no one better than the Bee Gees.

This my favorite Bee Gee song. Barry said it was his favorite and reflects their thoughts of the legacy in music after they were gone. They wrote it for Celine. There is a video of the recording g of the song. Maurice and Barry with tissues at the beauty of her singing the song. It makes me tear up all the times I hear it.
Find the Oprah Winfrey Show appearance by the (then) Canadian Tenors singing Hallelujah. They were big fans of Céline. Oprah knew that and arranged for Céline to join them mid-performance. The guys' reactions are priceless...
