Im so glad you enjoyed it and I was able to help, just don't forget not to water in the winter. I don't give mine any water from Nov. to March. Thanks for your kind support. KEEP WATCHING
I had a blue torch (I think) and I watered it twice in the year and a half I had it. The second watering was wayyyy too soon and it rotted out. I tried and failed to save it, but now... I'm getting 2 more and some other succulents, as well as a thimble cactus
Thank you for this video! I was just gifted this type of cactus and needed to know how to plant it. Your video was very helpful and I'm excited to pot my new cactus now! 🌵
Hey there!! I bought my blue torch in Feb.. its July now and it doesn't seem to be growing or getting any taller 😕 but the color is getting bolder from the sun exposure!! Its pretty 😍 do they have a long root system? Its in a 4in pot.. I'm thinking it needs 6in..deeper pot.. what do you think?? I don't want to disturb it🤔
Well .. it's been 6 mos.. it's a very slow growing cactus.. but it's so beautiful. I bought 2 more and potted them together. So..I'm just going to compare the growth rate on these guys!!
Hello Michelle so sorry for this late response This is the The Cactus Guys wife. I apologize my husband passed away in March suddenly. I didn’t know how to bring myself to say anything. Plus we are all so devastated. All I can say is he loved helping and teaching people about how to take care of all cactus’s .it was a passion of his.. Thank you for following him I know he appreciated it. 💔
@thecactusguy hey I need your help please 1st I’ve not bought a cactus before and I dunno if I should use English soil from my garden or stones sand or what others use and nov March no water I got that but I don’t know much besides water would I need anything else like cactus food if that’s a thing am sure it is as am 100% sure I want to buy one right now but I do not want to spend £30 plus and mess up with its life thanks
I'm looking for this cactus.. and do I necessarily need a draining hole for this cactus? And how many months can it stay in that pot before you repot again?
Hello Michelle thanks for watching and asking I'm glad to help. I got mine at a local nursery and it is important you use a pot with a drainage hole, other wise your plant will rot and also use well draining soil (very gritty). the pot size will determine how long before you have to repot. The pot I used in the video will last me about 2 years. in the spring and summer i water every 2 weeks in the winter i water very little between 4 to 6 weeks, I hope this helps you GOOD LUCK!!!
Guess what... I found one!! On valentines day!! Its small... nanotechnology 4in tall.. but its so cute... its a blue green color with yellow spines... now I gotta find a cute pot to plant it in...🤔🤔🤔
@@michellec.4994 that’s great I’m glad you got one of your own and don’t worry in the spring just give it full sun and water every other week and watch it grow Thanks for sharing
Its in a small 3in nursery pot... how soon should I repot it?? I don't want to disturb the root system but I wantvto get it in potcso I won't have to repot for another year...
