Every time urs is on I like him more and more. Dude is a bodybuilder through and through
I think Roman is the perfect example of competing a lot and having very high stock despite not placing exceptionally well. His massive following comes from his hardcore dedication to his craft in that way.
I love roman and follow him since 2013… unfortunately his following is not growing since years… but he is “just real bodybuilding “… i wish he would be more “active” and smarter about his future and setup…

This was a great podcast! I really like when Fouad is either alone or with Paul. I like that Samson said that he'd rather compete as often as possible to be Mr. Olympia, than try waiting once a year, and have regrets later in life. Urs has an old school and real man's mentality that I appreciate a lot!

EDIT: Also, now that Iain is retired that moves Samson into my #1 favorite current bodybuilder. Great ambassador for the sport.

My friends and I all talked about the Post Show Depression that occurs. Usually hits us 3 weeks post show when we are lowering drug level and cleaning things up. Its the worst and take so long to get out of it, usually dont feel truly normal for almost a month. it rough but you gotta "power through it" since we know the reason.
I can relate to the instagram reels food content, on my first prep (7 weeks out) can’t stop saving different recipes haha

Yup, reminds me of that eastern euro mentality I grew up with. There’s just no excuses allowed. There’s no such thing as “I don’t feel like it”.
If people are curious about the guys in Germany/eastern Europe, that’s the thought process, our parents drilled it in us.
in our households there’s never a moment where can just chill and relax, there’s ALWAYS something to do. I hated it always, but in the end it creates a very strong work ethic because you feel like complete shit if you ever fuck up lol.
Anyways enough of my rambling, just find the different mentalities around the world interesting.

On the topic of placing higher in Olympia vs. competing more frequently in other shows - I became a much bigger fan of Roman because of how often he was on stage this year. Him actually winning one of 10 (I think it was 10 this year?) and ending up on the Olympia stage was great. I don't care that he placed 14th, it didn't diminish his stock in my eyes and now I more actively look for content with him like podcasts and stuff.
