Worth explaining at the beginning of this clip exactly who Peter and Gordon were and playing an extract from one of their best known songs. Also worth explaining what was significant about them and their music. This clip does not give many clues about that
They came into my dad's pub, the Belmont in north Harrow outskirts of London. They were regulars. Their parents lived close by. Lovely lads. Modest. Deserved their success. Clise
I have few suggestion What Happened to Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich? What Happened to The Allman Brothers Band? What Happened to The First Edition? What Happened to Al Green? What Happened to Jake Holmes? What Happened to RedBone? What Happened to Gerry And The Pacemakers? What Happened to The Kingsmen? What Happened to Mitch Ryder And The Detroit Wheels?
You can go on line and get all the info about all the band's in detail. Gerry performed till he died a couple years ago and his band moved on to do other things.
One of my favorite Disc Jockeys, Larry Lujack at the time on WLS in Chicago, used to call them Union Puckett and the Gary Gap. It was a cheap joke but I was about 12 when I first heard it, so I thought it was pretty funny.
@@schuberttim Alan Copeland who just passed away did a mesh up of the music to mission impossible with the lyrics to Norwegian Wood lol talk about funny
Peter Asher's stellar career as a producer made it easy to follow his work but Gordon seemed to disappear for a long time. Thanks for filling me in on him and on both in their later years. I don't think you've done Chad and Jeremy yet and after this they would be a natural follow up.
These two started the sanitisation of pop/rock music. They took the grit out of the music of the 60s and turned it into easy listening muzac paving the way for others to do the same.
I don't need to know the sordid details of their respective nativities. And I have a pretty good idea of Peter's later work as a producer. So cut to the chase.

They had some great songs
Rest in peace, Gordon.
I was from the time for their popularity, loved them and their sound.
It's always great to see these previous rock stars now. Love the channel.
I couldn’t agree more!!!
Glad you like them!

Excellent documentary.
Loved this duo. I Wonder why his 3rd wife was never mentioned. Jen Couldry is her name.
Peter, Gordon, Chad and Jeremy..
Saw them in concert at indiana state fair with herman hermits, the who and peter gordon
Cool 😎 to know about the two GIFTED MUSICAL ARTISTS! Well done narrative history.
They couldn't stay in a world without love.
You’re a pretty good researcher
That's as may be, but he's a horrible narrator.
They got locked away!
Don't know about Gordon Waller, but Peter Asher turned into Austin Powers.
Peter still does stage singing with Jeremy Clyde
Saw Peter Asher perform with Albert Lee a few years back. 4 years ago maybe.
Of Chad and Jeremy
It's sucks to get old then die...The circle of life I guess..
THEY PETERED OUT ! 😂🤣😂
Old hat!
I have few suggestion

Simple: they split up! 😆
You should do a video on Gary puckett and the union gap.

Gary is still performing last I checked. No idea what happened to his band members.
You did a Peter and Gordon video. Do Chad and Jeremy next!
What Happened to Chad & Jeremy?

He was the brother of Jane Asher
Peter Pan and Flash Gordon?
Don’t you mean what happened to Austin Powers and Gordon?

Back then, Peter and Gordon were often mistaken for Chad and Jeremy, and vice versa.
@@birdsfan57 when Chad & Jeremy appeared on THE PATTY DUKE SHOW, they were mistaken as Peter & Gordon by many.
@@michaelmckenna6464 Yes, I remember that!
@@birdsfan57 Yes. One tall skinny guy and a shorter guy with glasses fit the description of both British Invasion duos.
I believe it was Peter Asher and Gordan Waller, not Peter Waller.

Peter and gordon
Interesting info on Peter & Gordon, but the guy narrating this needs to sound more prepared, and less like he’s struggling to read off of cue cards…
Mud Slime Slim? Withdrawals?
Jan and Dean
Jackie DeShannon.........
I really wanted to know this information but after listening to this guy's voice after five minutes I had clawed both of my eyes out with a fork!!!!
I bet that your hearing. 🤦 What a frickin' ... (fill in the blanks.)
I've only ever heard their 60s hit Lovers of the world unite which was pretty good !
That was David and Jonathan.
The did The Dick Van Dyke show and it ruined their career. The show just WASN'T funny. I hope that they fired their manager after that.
Wasn't that Chad and Jeremy?
who are Peter and Gordon? A law firm???
You’re thinking of Peter Gordon, portly lawyer and president of the Western Bulldogs (AFL).
