I saw Roy Buchanan once and he was great also .
I saw Alvin Lee at club in early 90,s playing that Red Gibson big guitar and his talent so great I saw his big bus later. He never got to be in Rock of fame and he was good and fast.
white rabbit - my favorite ballad
The most appropriate Foghat release might be Live at the Funeral Home.
This is hilarious! Or, as much fun as one can have hearing about a series of deaths.
My brother liked these guys. I think that this comment is just plain funny. Should I feel guilty?
Grand fraud without Mark Farner........😢
A 60s kid, my two favorite Raiders songs- "Kicks" and "Indian Reservation"...
I might enjoy this video a lot more if it were narrated by an actual human being.
Dan was his own man. More into the music itself rather than fame and fortune He was so refreshing.
Great tribute...Great job with all the details! Been a DanFan for over 50 years. EVER ON!
I have loved their music ever since the '60's !!!
Rik Elswit is also still alive, tough guy; he's survived everything life threw at him. He teaches guitar and banjo, if I were in his area I'd get lessons; San Francisco I think.
I was just listening to Crash and Burn which made me think to look Pat and check out some videos. And I noticed this. Very interesting. I really wish more people knew about his work. I'd say for my favorite, it would be a toss up between "Go for What You Know" and "Crash and Burn". Really all his stuff is very good and quite varied in sound. Thanks for the video.
Very drab and monotone American commentary.
As a kid I got to work on the cabins at the old resort in Oakland and I got to meet them.
Well, I am seeing them perform in Lynn, Massachusetts on August 1. That is what happening now.😊
I do not care about the infighting. I heard them in the 70's and still love thier music today. I listen to them all the time.
I like some Bubblegum & Pop and held down A Dog Named Boo but did a projectile vomit when I Want You To Want Me came out. Unrequited love doesn’t feel that sweet.
Another great video!
Glad you like them!
They are currently touring.
The usual suspect...drugs of course.
Baby It’s You is the most haunting, heart stopping sound ever recorded! Nothing like it ever. Her voice made it! Dianna Ross’ voice like chalk on a blackboard compared to Shirley’s deep rich tones.
Does anyone know if the new Foghat DVD Slow Ride Live in Texas 1999 is basically a remaster of the Millenium Tour DVD?
I love their music and am interested in the band's history. BUT your voice put me to sleep half way through. The band deserves a much better story teller than you.
The song "You make me feel like dancing was actually written by Ray Parker Junior I'm glad they gave Ray recognition since the song was stolen from him . I Loved Leo's voice, glad he lived an awesome life.
caught them live at Memorial Auditorium in Dallas late 60's. DINO blue my mind.. I played drums and was amazed (I think it was Mustang Sally) and there is a PAUSE break at the end of the song. DINO threw Both sticks up thru the roof... came back down and caught BOTH just in time to STRIKE and End the Song. Still Don't Believe It.. if hadnt seen it with my own Two Eyes. How the "F'd" He Do That!!!
I may have served with Doug Ingle's son in the Navy 1988. He claimed to be and was vetted by one of our instructors who knew quite a bit about Iron Butteryfly. So I assumed it was true.
Brilliant and unique band of fine musicians !
😂🎉😢😮😅😊666😊😅😮😢🎉😂
PLEASE do an episode on and about Steve Martin, who was the lead singer of the band the Left Banke. Thank you.
Also, "A Couple More Years" which was the B-side of "A Little Bit More," didn't make the pop charts but it enjoyed much success on the country charts.
Posting 6-16-24. Rik Elswit is still living, and will be 79 on July 6. Thanks so much for this!
Thanks for listening
Hats off to a true and brilliant songwriter..Unique and toughful, poetic, inspiring. Brilliant
He was not a HS graduate.
Love the Hollies music growing up in the early 60’s and 70’s . The 60’s and 70’s had the best music
And I as a Kid always thought Ray Sawyer was "Dr Hook"😅😅😅😅(it was only later I found out there Wasn't a Dr Hook)
Sly Stone and Don MacLean would be some good choices for future videos.
What Happened to Sly & The Family Stone? czcams.com/video/aAqSK8D8PUA/video.html
He crashed and burned and Boom Boom out went his lights. Cause he's been snorting whiskey and drinking cocaine.
Great, informative video of one of my favorites! I like the shorter format better. I tend not to even watch videos that are longer than 10 minutes; I've got too many other things that I need to get done, nor my attention span favors longer videos.
I prefer the longer ones
I like the shorter videos.
Rock n roll outlaws in my opinion the best.I have everyone of their albums.
Go for What you Know is one of the best live albums of the 70's, in my opinion.
How many people will come here expecting a video about the DC Comics character? 🤔
Never realized Lobo was actually a solo act. Very interesting!
Great post. He was a great composer and artist. I still have two 45s of his. Whatever happened to the former members of BREAD?
Chip Greenman was the Fuse drummer, Rick Nelson played keyboards and guitar 🙄😩
Did he perform with the late John Entwistle ? I think i read about it
One of my childhood babysitters was married to Randy “Bird” Burghdoff, who was a road agent and became a bassist and vocalist with them from 1985-2021. Unfortunately his ex-wife divorced him, I suspect due to not being there more for their son, whom I’m friends with, but don’t know for certain. My mother passed away the last day of 2003, and sometime in the 2010s, my father became engaged to Bird’s ex-wife.
