    Just traded our 17 CX-5 for a 23 CX-5 Turbo. This is legit. The turbo is quite nice!!

      That’s awesome, congrats! These actually are the CX-30’s, not CX-5’s. The results are similar though lol. I’ve reviewed a 2023 of turbo and non turbo Cx-5 as well and plan to do a lot more Mazda stuff in the weeks to come! Thanks for watching and supporting my channel!🙂

    You should test the Mazda 3 2.5 turbo and 2.5

      That’s a quick Jeep! 5.7? I did the track hawk a while back, it did like a 4.0x lol. But yes, these turbo Mazdas can scoot! 😎

    8.5 seconds isn't bad for a crossover with a newer 6-speed tranny. BTY was this AWD or FWD version?

    • @AutomotiveAnonymous208
      @AutomotiveAnonymous208  Před rokem

      That’s for sure! I believe it was the AWD version.🙂

      @@AutomotiveAnonymous208 ok, I figured it was since you do have to go out of your way to find a fwd only Mazda.

      From what I saw on Mazda's website, they only sell the CX-30 in AWD

      It’s been a bit since I’ve visited this platform. Perhaps they don’t sell the FWD only version any longer or it was likely sold in very limited trim levels before. I’m sure a bit of research could tell you, but I don’t remember off hand. Still, thanks for watching! 🙂

    how did you turn off traction control? I thought newer mazda only have off-road assist

      It’s been over a year since I made this video but I think one of them, maybe the turbo, was a slightly used 22 model year. I only started making videos in 2022, so I’m not overly familiar with previous Mazdas. But maybe 22 was the last year of the TC button? I drove some 2024 5’s and 30’s a few weeks ago and none of them have the button, which is a bummer.

    do you have to push the pedal to the floor in the regular engine?

    Altitude?

    • @AutomotiveAnonymous208
      @AutomotiveAnonymous208  Před rokem

      Roughly 3,800 true height. Density altitude can vary up to about 3,000’ over the course of a day where I’m at.

      @@AutomotiveAnonymous208 in feet?

    • @AutomotiveAnonymous208
      @AutomotiveAnonymous208  Před rokem +1

      Yes, feet above sea level. And then DA is the equivalent feet above sea level due to humidity, temp, air pressure which basically equate to the quality of the air in comparison to that average altitude.

      @@AutomotiveAnonymous208 In the N.A 2.5 it shortshifted 1st gear at 5,900 rpm, it should pull up to 6,500ish, did you press all the way to the kickdown switch at the gas pedal?

    • @AutomotiveAnonymous208
      @AutomotiveAnonymous208  Před rokem +1

      Yup, foot to the floor. I’m not sure why the engine tuning wouldn’t have wanted it to get to redline unless it’s told it would make more usable power by up shifting early. 🤷‍♂️🙂
