- this video was HIGHLY HIGHLY requested but please please please remember that stats aren't everything! college admissions is crazy! no one knows what's going on! the information I listed here is what got me both accepted and rejected to some truly amazing schools. so really, even I don't know how anything works. but hopefully you find this helpful, and honestly, the best thing you can do for yourself on your application is to stay true to who you are. don't pretend to be someone you're not, and highlight the parts of your experiences that make you unique. you got this!

We notice out of the numerous college acceptance reaction videos only 2 out of 10 got accepted to Stanford ... There were a few huge factors going for her to get accepted ... Thanks again !

How do you reach out to colleges about research internships? I would love to do one but I have no idea where to start
depends! OHSU is a medical school with a hospital and TONS of research going on at all times. they frequently offer internships through summer programs, and since i missed the deadline to apply to those, i had to cold email a bunch of PI’s whose research i was interested in. don’t expect many positive replies - i was lucky to even get one! most of the time, these labs might be unwilling to take on a high school intern, which is why it’s really important to a) write a damn good email (do your research! tell the PI exactly what interests you about the work being done in the lab and how you can contribute. an attached resume might be helpful too!) and b) see if that specific college/university often accepts high school interns, and if it’s a regular thing. applying to internships probably yields better results than cold emailing, so check out any summer programs that might be available to you as well. hope that helped and good luck!

It looks you have a very busy life and I think you would be a great match to Stanford. Strategically since it was your dream school you should you have choosen to apply Stanford REA and submit your art portfolio to increase the acceptance chances. Anyways, if you still feel raw about it, I would suggest to try to have a good freshman year at the college and then apply for transfer to Stanford with your art portfolio. Re-think the application strategy how to position yourself, since it makes it much easier to get accepted if you show some direction, i.e. if you gravitate towards arts, demonstrate it in the application. As you know in Stanford you can select whatever major you want without any restrictions, and you can change it too. Good luck!
