  • Here's the requested video of my high school stats! I hope you all enjoy! Additionally, I did submit three letters of recommendation to my schools. Two were from teachers and one was from my counselor.

Good morning! My name is Andres, it is pleasure to meet you. I currently living here in Florida. I usually go to a community college right close to my home. I have a younger brother who graduated from high school in last spring semester. He just had his first job in two weeks ago. He works at a restaurant. I will be doing internship for communication after I pass my journalism course in this semester. It will be in this summer. Also, I will be doing voices for singing and acting on television. Being an actor, singer, and journalist are my dream careers on television. Also, I am working on my book which is called My Life Throughout with Autism and Being a Military Child. I lived in the western of New York during my early childhood until age 5. I lived in three different states for 3 years, Virginia for seven months, Puerto Rico for a year, and two different states for 2 years. I had to move from state to state because my dad’s military. He is technically my stepdad, but I always see him as my real dad because I grew up with him as a child. He is the one who has been there for me with my mom and my younger brother. Also, I have four younger sisters and one baby brother in my bio dad’s side of the family. I am not even that close to them just like my younger brother in my mom’s side of the family. My mom is from Puerto Rico just like my bio dad. Also, my dad who I grew up with is from Colombia. I grew up with Spanish speaking family who are from Colombia and Puerto Rico. I visited to Colombia four times, and I visited to Puerto Rico for about seven to eight times. When I was a newborn, my mom told me that it was my first time visiting to Puerto Rico. If you want to know which states I lived in before, my book will be ready for you to publish sometime this summer or fall. Also, you did a great job with your high school stats video. That is very impressive that you did. If you want to take a look at my videos, you can watch it at anytime. I have been studying at a community college for 6 years. I will be graduating with my AA degree this year in the summer. After I complete with my AA degree in general studies, I will be getting my BA degree in journalism from a big university. If it does not work out, I will be completing my BA degree in communication from a small university. It can help me to become a journalist on television. I graduated from high school in May 2016. Hope everything is well with you and your family. I speak Spanish and English. However, I am still working on my Spanish to speak it fluently. At a younger age, I learned Spanish and English at the same time. I did not know how to speak Spanish until age 16. I started to get better with my Spanish at age 17 or 18. Good luck with your college in Minnesota. God bless you and your family. 🙏❤️

Did you have a college counsellor and do you think it’s worth getting one ?

I personally talked to a school counselor I trusted since he was my advisor for another club I was in. It helped a lot with making my ideas more clear and finding what I wanted to write about. I would say helpful, but not necessary.

Did you self report your AP scores or did you decide to not send in any? I recently got a 2 on an AP test and I’m unsure what I should do about that when I apply to college.

I believe I ended up self reporting all of my scores including the bad ones. If other parts of your application are strong enough, one bad test score shouldn’t make or break their decision :)
