That Triple H/John Cena/Edge angle was some really good stuff. Underrated imo. Tweener Triple H was especially entertaining.

I feel like WM 22 is pretty underrated. It was my first WrestleMania, and I think it’s up there in terms of best WM. Not Top 5. Maybe 10 or 15.
Same here. I was 10 yrs old when I got into wrestling and WrestleMania 22 was my first WM, as well as one of my favorites.
I’d put in top 5, the energy of that show was electric! Reminded me of WM 17 in terms of energy and crowd interest
Was also the last wrestlemania outside an oversized stadium. Credited a lot to the crowd, especially because that years mania was in chicago. Lots of good matches on the card and a large variety in match types.

"His face exploded" is about the only way to describe what happened to Joey Mercury.
Including all sorts of death matches, that's legit one of the most horrendous and graphic injuries ever.
He broke his entire face and somehow didn't completely blackout from the pain.
Even your average tough guy wouldn't keep working after that.
People focus more on the injury itself than on how tough Mercury has to be to have done anything but collapsed.
I live an hour and 40 minutes from Toronto and I’m still upset that I didn’t get to go to unforgiven as a kid whatever nxt takeover Toronto last year made up for it
I remember buying Unforgiven 06 on dvd. Phenomenal card and it’s worthy of being #1 that year.
December 2006 was the first time I watch Raw, Smackdown, ECW, and started to fully watch WWE. I was 8 when starting watching it. Good times.
i feel like the problem cena had with going to raw was that he was going to the big leagues facing off with such talented and well known superstars but fans were just sick on how cena defeated them with his so called "5 moves of doom" all the time, i think he was just not ready to be on raw and should have stayed in smackdown for a bit to get better
@@trewilliams8411 John Cena is not the greatest of all time. He's great but not even in the same league as Ric Flair, Undertaker, Chris Jericho, Austin, Shawn Michaels etc.
Cena was going to a Raw chock-full of smart mark favorites like Y2J, HBK, Christian, Angle, and he was not quite properly seasoned as he would become.
He just wasn't ready yet, and should have stayed on SD.

The very hostile crowd in New York throwing Cena's shirt back at him repeatedly is one of the funniest things I've ever seen in wrestling. His face when he finally decides screw it is so good.
Watching Cultaholic talk about these older PPVs/past years in WWE makes me remember how much I liked Umaga.

This year was definitely a highlight for London and Kendrick with their tag title reign. Consistently good matches on PPVs and having an incredible ladder match to cap off their year. Really was hoping for this to launch them off into bigger things. Regardless, they had a damn good run as champions.

I remember reading the Armageddon ppv results the next day and being so excited when I saw that they changed the generic tag title match to a 4 way ladder match also involving the Hardy Boys. It was like 3 surprises in one match.
The first ever WWE dvd I bought was Survivor Series 2006. And I will never get rid of it, because it si the ppv that made me enjoy wrestling. Nobody can tell me otherwise.

Was born in 96 started heavily watching in 99 lifelong wrastling fam first I saw Ecw was a few bootleg tapes that my cousins let me borrow I must of been around 5 at this point and never forgot it. When the wwe documentary came out and it was easier to access their o.g catalog I became much more involved watching their old stuff and WWEs version too although we all know never lived up to o.g ecws worst days.

Honestly, this was the year where I became interested in Wrestling. Specifically, after watching Mickie vs Trish at WM22.
One of the Best wrestling times in WWE history. Cena and Edge started their entertaining and fun rivalry since Edge finally becoming WWE Champion by cashing in Money in the Bank on John Cena at New year's revolution, Booker T becoming *KING BOOKER!* Jeff hardy returning, The emerged Rated RKO, Rey Mysterio getting a push, WrestleMania 22, ECW and Saturday Night's Main event were brought back, McMahons were all over RAW, and DX finally reunited since 2002, etc.

While I started watching wwe in summer of 2005 I only saw one wwe ppv in 2005 and that was Armageddon I didn’t know how to watch wwe ppv’s at the time and I only watched some wwe dvds and didn’t start watching raw and smackdown fully until Eddie Guerrero passed away so technically this was the year I started was the year I started I know everyone hates this year but I actually like it Sure not ever ppv was a hit but there’s some that I was actually enjoyed like

Kurt angle shockingly entering the battle royal to win the world heavyweight championship that Batista relinquished due to injury leading to one of my favourite matches of all time Kurt angle vs the undertaker at no way out

Wrestlemania 22 is the most underrated Wrestlemania ever. Definitely a top 10 Mania and i'd argue top 5.
I actually have nostalgia for December to Dismember, because I bought December to December on DVD when I was a kid.
I love this series, and it is my favorite on the channel

That Benoit/Regal Match from No Mercy 06 is difficult viewing simply because it's the beginning of the end for Benoit.

This is the year I got back in to WWE after maybe 10 years away. I didn't watch a lot though and I don't think I saw any of the years PPVs, so I'm surprised by a lot of the names in here.

My first wrestling dvd was Unforgiven 06 so it will always be special to me
I actually liked royal rumble 2006 when rey mysterio won the royal rumble match and participated in the match for 62 minutes and 12 seconds.
Besides The Rumble Match should have been in the main event but it ended when The Undertaker uses his powers to destroy the ring.

Unforgiven 2006 is so underrated. It's such a well rounded show, with a nuclear hot crowd, and Vince getting his face shoved up Big Show's ass. What's not to love?

I don't care what anyone says. 2006 was one of the WORST years in WWE history. The first half of that year was *PHENOMENAL* and the second half was awful.
I can't stand those people loving and enjoying that terrible year and kept saying that 2006 was a great year *BECAUSE IT ABSOLUTELY WASN'T!!* The LIVE crowd went downhill, The "God" storyline, Rey Mysterio's uninteresting push, The Re-launch of ECW, ECW december to dismember, The failure and devaluation of the WHC, Kurt Angle leaving the WWE, The "King Booker" gimmick, Man I hated that year so much.
