Batista and Taker honestly has one of the most of underrated feuds of all time. And the premise is so simple too. Both men want to win the title and prove they are better than the other. It felt like an 80’s wrestling feud done right.
No they dont

Was at Armageddon. Takers entrance was so long I had time to go to the bathroom and grab a beer on the way back and he was just taking off his hat
Bobby Lashley hasn’t aged in 13 years.
Ah. Look at those PPV sets Remember them? Ah....Creativity.
Oh, who needs that when you can have a giant TV screen?

Right!? Wtf happened to WWE man 😔
My biggest take away from 2007 is that Umaga was very underrated.
True
I absolutely can not wait until 1997-2001’s rankings
Definitely a rose tinted year for me. 2007 was the first year I was watching wrestling in a consistent basis and as a kid, I loved it. In retrospect, definitely not WWE's strongest years (especially after the Benoit incident). But when you have a solid main event scene, a good tag team title scene in Raw, good midcard title matches and moments, and one of the best feuds WWE had in the past 15 years in Batista vs Undertaker, it's hard to say it was a terrible year.
it was a great year of wrestling even with the benoit tragedy.
John cena was having good matches with almost everybody
He had a great match with The Great Khali. You can edit it to everybody.
2007... my first full year as a WWE fan when I was a kid. I got into it in mid-2006!

I'm sadden at the Benoit tragedy but that's what the 2004 is for right?😐🤔
How am I not top comment😭😭😓😪😥🙏🙏
This was Super Cena's year in terms of match quality.
I enjoyed John Cena's 3rd wwe title reign.
Cena had a great match with The Great Khali. Not once but twice. Tells you something's wrong.
This would sound weird, but 2007 was my all-time favorite year for the WWE as a fan since 1988.
John Cena getting the fluke pin at Backlash 2007 should have been mentioned. SUCH GOOD SHIT! (It was though.)
The fact that WWE didn't die out after 2007 shows that it might be around forever.
Plus 2020-2021. While the PR of the Saudi Deal, CTE issues and links to Trump aren't as bad as the Benoit tragedy, the sheer adaptability of the company is insane.
@@devanwelch4049 True. Despite the boring indie quality, it is still intact thanks to Orton, Reigns (wouldn't say it if he was face) and even Cena's return. That really pumped up the ratings during the decline.
@@devanwelch4049 saying a link to trump is anywhere near comparable to a wrestler killing his fucking family is a joke and so are you for implying it.
@@devanwelch4049 links to Trump didn’t hurt it at all, other sports getting political had more of a negative effect on ratings. No one wants to hear about these issues during their escape from the real world.
@@SchmergDergen eh, I think confirmation bias hurts any reliability on data derived from that stuff. WWE’s ratings have been trending downward for a long time, meanwhile the NBA’s ratings took a hit during the bubble, which was already an uncomfortable viewing experience.
Also, the links to Trump have undeniably hurt WWE because brand loyalists, like Mick Foley, have actively become less engaged in the product. That is a tangible connection, not a coincidence.
As much as I love Taker vs Batista I LOVE Cena vs HBK. I think it's one of the most underrated Wrestlemania main events ever
Wanna know how many times a wrestler was in the main event of a PPV in 2007? Here it is:
John Cena - 9 (yes, he really was in the main event of 3/5 of that year)
Undertaker - 5
Batista - 4
Randy Orton - 4
Shawn Michaels - 3
Bobby Lashley - 2
Edge - 2
Great Khali - 2 (2 is too many for Khali)
HHH - 1
King Booker - 1
Mark Henry
Mick Foley - 1
Umaga - 1
2007 was full Super Cena mode was raw
The Khali experiment on SD was a snooze..
Super Cena mode had kicked into overdrive.
Ah 2007.
- When WWE changed forever because of the Benoit tragedy
- Cena coming into his own as a top guy
- Vince being ECW champ
- Lashley was being groomed to being a top guy before being injured and then leaving for MMA
- Umaga being the shit
- Orton SLOWLY becoming the viper
- Kennedy ALSO being groomed to be a top guy before it turned out he wasn't so great
- Undertaker and Batista having BANGER matches
- EVERYONE being injured like Adam said
just to name a few

This is probably the first thing Vince thought of when he saw Erik and Ivar for the first time
I feel like Cyber Sunday would work even better today
@Ace 06 I can't tell if that would make it more or less interesting
@Ace 06 I guess to that point the most important thing would be to make sure all the stipulations and opponents are interesting enough to carry their own weight no matter who wins the vote
I always love the idea of Cyber Sunday. I was only able to vote the last year this PPV was a thing. I would love to see it make a comeback!
@Ace 06 Whoever said the polls won't be rigged?
I love the fan voting idea.
"I love reading" over Ashley. Made me laugh my head off lol
Taker/Batista from SSeries 07 was the first ever match I watched. Brilliant match. Brilliant rivalry between these two. Crazy how they each retired within a year of each other (hopefully) with Batista retiring after WM35 and Taker retiring after WM36.
Umaga, edge and mickie james as champions in the thumbnail. That's the good stuff, right there.
I started watching wwe during this year 2007
This was when I got into wrestling and this video is one huge nostalgia trip
Chris Benoit will live forever and CANNOT be erased. His ending does not negate the decades of SUPER WIN that he delivered before his brain betrayed him.
His legacy is his murdered wife and child.

Rey Mysterio, Triple H, Mr. Kennedy, Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Edge, Bobby Lashley, and John Cena.
Chris Ben Who?! Alright not funny but it was right to never mention his name ever again
Thanks for uploading this video it was great 👍
Agreed.
Things I would rather remember 2007 for in WWE:
2007: The worst year for the draft before 2011
2007: The nostalgia kept in SVR 2008
2007: The final year of SD quality in WWE programming
2007: The years for Edge and Orton in their prime
2007: William Regal saying "Eumanga"
2007: The end of Booker T and Lashley's first runs in WWE
2007: Prime Great Khali
SHUT UP!!
Ngl, Judgement Day 2007 is one of my favourite B Shows of all time, it’s really underrated and I wish it ranked higher
I remember watching wwe in 2007 when I was a HS sophomore and thinking how awesome it was and enjoying all the matches
This is the year I’ve been waiting for! Thanks guys!!
That backlash was here in at atlanta at Phillips Arena and I was there. It was an awesome show. The whole building was thrown off by the 4 way finish. We all saw hbk hit the chin music on cena but no one in the arena realised cena fell on Orton for the cover and everyone was wondering why the bell rung. When the announcer said cena won, everyone went crazy (lotta boos lol) but it was an awesome show. Then after the show went off the air, hbk and cena went to back but edge literally speared Orton 10 times. Just over and over and over. One of the best wwe shows I ever went to.
Now gotta rank the decade's top ppvs!!
17:45
Nope, it wasn't a Survivor Series match. It was a standard 10-woman Tag Team match
Love this series, keep up the great work
1. Backlash: 8/10
2. Royal Rumble: 7.5/10
3. Armageddon: 7/10
4. Survivor Series: 7/10
5. Cyber Sunday: 6.5/10
6. Wrestlemania 23: 6.5/10
7. One Night Stand: 5.5/10
8. No Mercy: 5/10
9. New Year's Revolution: 4.5/10
10. Judgement Day: 3.5/10
11. The Great American Bash: 3/10
12. No Way Out: 2.5/10
13. Vengeance Night of Champions: 1.5/10
14. Summerslam: 1/10
15. Unforgiven: 0.5/10
4 good PPVs, but 5 shitty PPVs, making this a bad year for PPV quality.
No mercy should be 7/10
And the rumble should be 9.5/10
Cena vs. Orton was the only great thing at SummerSlam.
@@optimus2008 Yep! Mysterio/Chavo was good too, but no one cares for it.
I got totally obsessed with wrestling in around 2004-2005 when I was 8 and it lasted for a few years but it was a crazy time what with the Benoit situation I remember b4 that my friend ben loved the dude he was the coolest wrestler ever to him and it actually fcked him up when it happened. so 2007-08 was one of the biggest years of wrestling for us we watched the whole year thru got all the ppv matches and threw partys to cheer him up and have fun with wrestling again to forget it but it was still a wierd time for sure lol crazy nostalgia looking back on it and seeing the video has been making me laugh as I see somthing and remember it for the first time in for ever, Cool video!
Keep doing this series 👍👍👍👍👍
Wrestlemania 23 was my first ever ppv and it will always be one of my all time favourites ❤

Not the best year but certainly a bearable year i think it was just like in ruthless agression era how 2015 was in pg era
It’s isn’t 2015 is apart of the Reality Era, The PG Era (Universe Era) ended in 2013.

Welcome back to my favourite series on CZcams.
Do-Rag Vince forever!!!!
Fun Fact: Batista was the WHC or in a match involving the WHC all PPVs in 2007 ;)
ah wrestlemania 24- the mania where ric flair had the most emotional retirement match ever
and if we're gonna remember that moment , let's just all forget that ric went off to have matches in tna please?
thank you
That was in 2008 not 2007
Cena on top in 2007 was awesome and you have to admit it. He had good match after good match and that lengthy title reign was his best imo.
07 was my fav childhood year of wrestling
11:02 thanks for that visual...
2006 and 2005 will be soo good!!!!
Hey Adam looking back at this I just realized another fact. Chavo Guerrero was on fire this year! I feel line his run as Cruiserweight Champion never gets talked about enough or the division as a whole. Who would you feel would boost the Cruiserweight Division from this era?
Conclusion much respect for Umaga a top level heavy weight. Rest in peace brother ☮️
I kinda miss 2007 WWE
Besides the Chris Benoit tragedy 2007 was honestly my favorite year of wrestling my favorite Royal Rumble backlash judgement day Cyber Sunday and the year of one of my favorite feuds Undertaker vs Batista my favorite of the whole year
Matt Hardy and MVP’s feud of various contests was one of the best storylines of the year.
In the description there is a typo, you put wrestlemania 24 not 23
These lists are making me miss Umaga, super under-rated wrestler, he was an awesome heel. His feud with Cena was great when I was younger.
good video
2007 was the first year since I became a fan a decade earlier that I thought kind of sucked. There just wasn’t much that interested me this year and Super Cena was making me want to change the channel which I never had the urge to do with wrestling prior to 2007. This was the start of the WWE’s downward spiral and they would unfortunately never be as great as they were before this year again.
But now it is thanks to Triple H

Anyone else thought that London and Kendrick at No Way Out during their entrance look like they saw the rona 13 years ahead of time?
2007.. where it slowly started to decline
For 2 years at least
In my opinion I have never been more excited for wrestling than I was in the buildup to wm 23, after mania 23 it all gets blurry for me, WWE definitely started to decline after mania 23 despite there still being great things going on.
CEWIIH I’d say more possibly, remember we had the shitty divas title in 2010
Nope. 2008 was a great year and 2007 itself was decent considering everything that was going on. The rot started in 2009.
@@Mrazmatmahmood 2009 and 2010 were still great. 2011 middling, from there it's a downwards trajectory.
Unforgiven of 07-08 was back to back good Shows in my opinion all things consistering
In my opinion, I think 2007 was a great year for WWE despite the Benoit tragedy. Batista and Undertaker's underrated feud on SD, Cena's 3rd WWE title reign, Rise and destruction of Randy Orton, Y2J returns, HHH returns, Backlash, Survivor Series, etc. That year was too memorable and should have been way better despite the injuries, suspensions and The Benoit tragedy.
No
Taker, Batista and Edge carried smackdown in 2007. It’s a shame they put the title on Khali though, those were some dark days.
2007 was a very lit wwe
Does anyone else notice John Cena carrying bad wrestlers through the best match of their career or?
Umaga and Shawn Michaels are bad wrestlers?
A lot of us love reading lol
They might be the best PPV's of that year but since they were the first wrestling PPV's I ever saw I'll always have a special place in my heart for SummerSlam, Unforgiven and No Mercy 2007
P.S I actually did and still to this day enjoy the Batista Vs Khali Punjabi Prison Match
I actually liked 2007. It was the year where I fully liked wrestling and started to watch it every week when I was in 3rd grade. I really started watching wwe in December 2006. First wwe match I watch was in 2005. In 2007 I thought wrestlemania would be on Friday or Monday on CW or USA cuz I never heard of ppv 😂😂
Batista was my favorite wrestler and his feud with The Undertaker is my favorite feud of all time. I never heard of the Wrestlemania streak and I wanted Batista to win. Yes the Benoit thing was mess up. WWE is the reason why I love rock music when I started to watch it.
Backlash 2007 is my favorite WWE PPV ever
It was my first PPV that I remember and I have so many great memories of it
Such an awesome PPV
Except for Vince winning the title...the Fuck was that about

I was at WrestleMania 23 it was awesome seeing Vince get shaved was priceless just wish I was a little older was just 9
2007 was the year I dropped out of Wrestling for almost 5 years, there was just nothing there for me anymore. The Pipebomb got me interested again, but it took some time after that to make me a full-timer again.
What do you mean nothing there for you anymore?
@@quentinkaasa47 Nothing that struck my interest or kept me entertained. I was a huge Guererro fan, he died, Chris Benoit was my next favorite, he died too, after that a bunch of other wrestlers got injured or "disappeared" from tv after the Benoit incident was linked to steroid abuse, the ECW I was kinda hyped for because I missed the original by years and really liked both One Night Stands fell completely flat and failed miserably, Smackdown was not at all available in my Country, not even over Sky (or premiere back then) since some really small and obscure channel called Tele 5 which at the time maybe 50K households in the entirety of Germany had still held the rights for it, meaning I could only watch Raw which already was "The John Cena and insignificant friends" show and boy did I not like Cena, he was so boring to watch to me, I know Raw still had its fair share of great moments and matches but nothing that justified getting the 70€ Sky (Premiere) package that was required to get that one subchannel that aired WWE wrestling, or even between 85 and 100€ If you ordered the PPV's every month. (that's between 80 and 110 Pounds If you're a brit). Also, I met my first GF (17, almost 18 at the time) and suddenly that whole "getting laid" thing took quite some priority in my life.
@@assadi89 Did you ever give TNA a chance back then? What did you think about their product?
@@quentinkaasa47 I tried watching TNA, but the channel that aired it (DSF) was close to going bankrupt back then and for some reason decided to put a single old man into the commentary booth (you couldn't switch to English) who had no idea of wrestling and always sounded bored out of his mind. It got better and I watched some episodes but next to the horrible commentary what really killed it for me was that there was no way to order their PPV's here, not even online due to the bad internet connections in Germany. (I had a 56K Modem from AOL up until 2008, we are still behind the world) So I always ended up with stories without conclusion.
when 2007 was bad, it was really bad. But when it was good... that top 3 is some gold
Kane and Jeff had a few tag team match's on raw after this and It made me think I might be getting a tag team out of them can you imagine brother Nero and Kane with tag gold
I feel like for obvious reasons this isn't the case for very many people, but if memory serves, 2007 was the year I first started getting really into wrestling. Like my older sister was a fan so she'd have Raw on every Monday (when it wasn't NFL season), but I never really paid any attention to it until 2007. I remember Orton versus Cena, Orton versus Triple H, Orton versus Michaels, Orton versus Jericho... Jesus, is Randal Keith really the guy who got me into wrestling?
