A few additional notes: For those who can hear it, the rustling sound in the last two demos clips are the pages of my notepad being blown around by the TV18 just off camera as I was taking notes. Also, regarding REW, it is probably more accurate to say the measurement is not especially volatile and actually slopes slightly up as it extends into lower frequencies.
That psa sub is tempting!
Love the intro!
Much appreciated.
Super nice! I bought a pair of PSA XS15s way back when they started. Loss leader designs, value off the charts. Terrific performance.
I still run them today
Definitely hard to beat the value. There is a lot of good at a very reasonable price.
Awesome review my friend. Just got the S2112M with 21” driver and sealed enclosure for near field experience (directly behind my theater seats) and front of theater I have Dual SVS PB16 Ultras. My theater experience has changed completely due to my new PSA BEAST. Love It!
Much appreciated. Great set-up.
Grabbed two pairs of TV2112M's for two different setups. Great performance and value.
Great performance for the cost.
enjoy! I have two PSA subs 15" and they are unbelievable sound for the price.
Excellent. The 18" is an absolute beast. Awesome sub.
Great review! Still rocking my dual old school S3601’s. May need to upgrade eventually 😎
Thank you!
time to trade those in on a couple S42ipal

I’ve been on the fence about PSA for a while now. Not because of quality or anything like that, only because there’s not a whole lot of content out there on them. After watching your video….I’m sold on these subs right here!!! Went to PSA website & saw the specs & the price & couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Please for the love of 10hz & under, you should have them dialed in by now. You absolutely need to do another video on them. If you don’t, I will lol. Thanks for the video and will be watching out for another one.
Thank you. Its a very good sub. PSA's price-to-performance ratio is impressive.
How does your PB-4000 compare to the TV18?
I have older models in my setup. 1 XS-30se and 2 3000i in less than 1800cuft
Sounds like a good set-up!
Have you had a chance to listen to or compare these Ferrite woofers to their B&C counterparts from PSA? I'm torn between the ev18f and the ev1813. Research has shown that they were quite similar, just wondering what I would be "missing out" on with the Ferrite woofers. Maybe better integration for 2 channel listening?
Haven't had the opportunity. If I can get them in for review, I will definitely do another review.
Nice review! I’m really interested to know how this new ferrite driver model sounds compared to the TV1813m with the B&C pro drivers. I wonder how the sound signature compares, and if it has similar or more ULF output. Same cabinet, same amp, just different driver.
Thank you!
I was one of the fortunate who put a deposit down to get one of these new "budget" subs. This video is accurate to my experience as well. It excels with all HT bass and the ULF portion is very strong/accurate. I went from 2 pb2000s to this in the mix. I've finally got the low end I was looking for and at a very good price. I've pushed this to the extreme and it handles anything I've thrown at it. I'm not familiar with the Italian woofers but I have a hard time believing they'd go lower and stronger for HT, than these ferrite options.
They sound very similar. I discussed it in more detail on our forum but the two woofers are close in overall design/motor parameters. Even the motor strength is similar. So the main difference is the ferrite weighs so much more.
I have to agree with ianswensen I just got 2 of these yesterday and when it comes to low end bass the babies can hand with the best of them. I haven’t gone past 6:00 in the gain but when I do I’m sure I’ll be sweeping up dry wall. If you’re thinking about getting these I highly suggest you do, you won’t regret it!!!
Any ideas how this compares to the rhythmik F18?
this is much larger and ported. Be much more comparable to the fv18 from rythmik
This sub is a game changer $1499!!! ???for a proper 10-14hz sub!!! I had to double check that price.
Yes, indeed. Huge value.
There's quite a few good subs
Is this the newest model tempting at the price compared to a single jtr
This is a new model.
How do they compare to the SVS PB4000?
1.5 - 2 SVS PB4000's might be equal to this...
More power for sure. Pretty effortless output.
Thank God I got a pick-up truck. They brought this monstrosity to my home in an 18-wheeler. So far, I like it. It's much larger than my 12 inch Arendal 1961 1v. I was tempted to sell the smaller sub but decided to play it near field and G@# D*&^. They rattle the windows on the other end of my home.🙉
Oh yes. Its a beast. Congratulations on the buy.
How did this compare to the SVS?
Both are great. Depends on your preferences. The PSA is objectively more powerful and packs a huge punch with its bigger driver and more powerful amp.
I didn’t know they did that I thought that is what everyone was always mad about these subs because they weren’t sent out for review hardly if ever have things changed ?
I have not heard of that. I can speak to my experience with PSA. They were quite accommodating. They were awesome enough to let me take my time with it. Their only ask was an honest review--which I provide in all of my reviews. The sub is a beast and I was very impressed.
@@stillbluehometheater1056 awesome I’m definitely happy to see more stuff on CZcams of these subs
Hi, for many months we had a back order list over 500 subwoofers. We only recently we're able to catch up(for the most part). Obviously, when you are back ordered 2-4-6 months...the last thing on your mind is sending out free samples to try to arouse more demand..:)
@@supportpowersoundaudio6273 totally get that but what I don’t get is why there is literally almost close to zero content on CZcams of these subs including this one there is maybe 2 more on here
How dose this compare to the svs pb4000
In my home theater, it has a flatter response down to single digits. Effortless extension. I like the PB4000 a lot. But, the PSA is a bigger more powerful beast. That's not to say that its better or worse than the SVS. Its just a matter of fact.
How much is psa subwoofer
Check out the link in the description for their latest price and any promos.
I think this is old model. New model is TV1813 I guess
The model in this review was provided by the PSA team and is the new model.
This is a new model, just in a different price bracket than the tv1813. This one adds an F to the name because it uses ferrite magnets instead of neodymium of the higher end model. The higher end model also uses a dual voice coil build from B and C in Italy. This model was made to be a great value at a lower cost $900 less.
No it's the new China model. China cab, China woof, ICE amp, assembled in USA for less money than a TV1813 which has US cab, Italian woof, ICE amp, assembled in US. These F models are being released to take some strain off the other models due to supply chain.
Anything with the M suffix = matte finish(china cabinet). Anything with F in the naming = ferrite woofer(china). All ICE amps are hand assembled and tested here in Ohio. All products are assembled and QCed, boxed, and shipped from Ohio. I know you know this Joe just want to try to clarify for anyone else following along,@@joemeyers1016
You should review their speaker line it's awesome
