Annual Tactic Angel video, count me in!!!
LOL 🍿 But fair...
I was gonna say bi annual lol. But yes lol.
Another great video. The line drawing drop-ins of the Japanese battleship studies were a wonderful touch! I always very much enjoy the history lessons at the beginning of your videos.
I do my best. Some of these tier VIII's (or most of them) are kind of... well, hard to write about. 😄 Thanks!
@@tacticangel Yeah, as much as I thought T8 was needed between T7 and legendary, I'm finding that I don't have much interest in most of the ships. I wish they had up-tiered some T7s (Iowa and Georgia come to mind) or nerfed legendary tier to make it closer to T8 instead. As it stands now, I'd much rather just play the T5-7 ships that actually existed!
Informative and precise as always, combined with an unbeaten production value. So sad that serious content doesn't get the same attention as some self-proclaimed toxic superchads or clickbait video titles...
Thanks Netztramp! I'd probably be better off making twice as many videos that took half as much time, but it's ok either way. I'm not looking to be famous for playing boats. 😎 Just glad people enjoy them.
Well said.
As I always say, make more videos!!! :-) Love all of your reviews and you are in my opinion the most trustworthy reviewer of ships in this game. Continue the great work!
I aim to be as fair as possible. I'm glad that you see it that way. Hopefully this weekend I'll finish Collingwood, 8f.all goes well. Thanks, as always!
@@tacticangel I see that you have not reviewed Plymouth, what is your opinion on that ship? I am considering buying but I do not want to buy a bad boat…
@@jimmyellner4763 - I've only played a handful of games with it in Standard, so fewer than I would like in order to make a review on it. My initial impression of the ship is that it is very, very min-max, the kind of ship that excellent players can make great, good players will do ok in, and the average person will not consistently enjoy.
She can do sort of silly amounts of damage if your enemies do equally silly things in front of it, but anything that stays bow-in to it will be able to avoid a lot of it's potential. Some ships with minimal superstructures are very hard to damage at all when bow-in. I would compare it's smoke favorably versus Belfast '43, but it's survivability is pretty similar. Since Belfast has HE and more smokes, I would expect Plymouth has even less hard-carry potential than Belfast, though. All of this is complicated by how sluggish she is to slow down, with her turns, and speed in general. She's slower than German cruisers, which complicates any attempt to run away.
I pretty much only play her in Arena where I can hide most of her problems in a division with two destroyers. I generally don't think I play Edinburgh or Belfast well enough to consistently like Plymouth, but some of that is obviously just how I play the game.
@@tacticangel Thanks for the review! I am no huge fan of the Belfast 43 so you just saved me 17500 doubloons as I will save them for a ship that I will enjoy more than the Plymouth. I was not an active player when one could get the Wichita CE, but I purchased the Wichita that is in the store now. And I must say I really enjoy it! Otherwise I watch your reviews to guide my purchases in this game and so far I seem to have a play style that is similar to yours albeit that I lack your skill. I am an amateur captain but I enjoy sinking some ships together with friends, even if I never will get as good as many players out there. :-)
I've had a Wichita gameplay review in the hopper for a while. Honestly, I prefer it to Wichita CE. It's a good ship. 👍
I love these videos. I know other CCs put out more videos, but as a history buff (or 'What if' history buff) i love these videos.
I may not make the most content, but I try to do the best job I can. Thanks for the kind words!
Finally! THE Tactic Angel has returned with a new video!
It wasn't all that long. 🙂 But I like the enthusiasm.
I was waiting for this video
Hope it was worth the wait. 👍Sorry I couldn't get it out sooner.
Fantastic videos Tactic thanks dude
Thanks, as always, American. Also, dig the new icon. 'Merika!
Great Video and u put on the Nail... Iwami just a WG immagination Dream then even a realhistoric Blueprint.
Thanks, Nariko. Glad you agree!
You might wanna look at KGV's recent(ish) citadel change. It is quite susceptible nowadays, not like it was when it was nearly impossible to citadel.
Oh geeze... probably should have looked at the armor model first. That's the dreaded T-shaped citadel. 😄
My favorite quote is...and I quote....
"Those shells were a little bit a-kinda all over the place..."
(Angel, T. 2023)
In my opinion, I think those shells landed somewhere in East Landing, Michigan...near a TV repair shop, but that's just me.
That quote needs to be on a
t-shirt.
I like the history part of your videos. 👍
Thanks, James! Glad you like them.
@@tacticangel I second I James.
I appreciate it, Tob!👍
Feels like a jack of all trades master of none ship. Does everything okay, doesn't really stand out in any aspect. Comfortable is definitely a great way to describe it as you said.
Kind of? I still think the AP pen is a problem on a battleship. When I think comfortable, I think more of a pair of slippers. There are plenty of things that I can do perfectly well in a pair of slippers. There are some things that maybe I can't, but at least it doesn't feel bad. 😄
Not that any T8 ship earns silver, but it seems the best way to do so on this one...is to complete the Campaign, because you want the Commander items, and then sell the ship.
True, but some do seem to make a bit less than others on account of wonky shell and torpedo costs, and overall, it seems less profitable than ye olde tier VII and its kind of a bummer.
But I actually do like this ship, personally. 😄
This ship has to be played at extreme range. Spec for accuracy and use Kondo as one inspiration for stealth. Basically, just treat her like a Japanese cruiser. But instead of HE, just sling AP and launch torps into gaps.
I never had much luck with that against battleships. Against cruisers it tended to work, but I had a lot of issues with pen on this ship.
@@tacticangel She's a weird boat. We haven't had a truly good campaign ship in a long time.
Hello Tactic, I do not like this Jap.
The Steven Hawing of Wowsl back with another stimulating video.
Hopefully in all the best ways.
