@@Kekira I think Arceus basically just yeets you into the Hisui region, since you fell out of the space-time rift, which is... quite far away from the location you landed in.
So the order of events are
Arceus plops you into hisui and I assume charges the nobles with energy to train you up to confront pallia and dialga meanwhile everyone things somewhat Ill of you cause you fell out of the sky even though one of the wardens is the same confronting the miss fortune sisters who just seem to be pests who try and make things worse with growlithe and the oreigin then out of nowhere the commander decided a you can’t be trusted assuming you are the cause of the nobles going berserk who then banishes you from the village with everyone giving you the shield hero treatment, but then when you get the red chain you confront the commander who does another 180 and you catch two cranky dragons one of which has a new second form and the day is saved only for Volvo to 180 amd become evil cause he wants to do the magic thing like in the one Pokémon movie with marshadow and then when catching all the Pokémon you fight god… certainly there more to the story but that 180 the commander does atleast grovyle and dusknoirs 180 in explorers was better exicuted then that

I find it funny that at the beginning of the game, Cyllene threatens to throw you out if you don't do a good job and immediately you look in your quarters and find a list on the wall with one of the points that says something about helping out the weak.
Apparently "Help the weak" only applies if you're already one of them. There's a lotta class jokes I could make about that, but I'm not opening that can of worms 👀

I mean, to some extent it makes sense. They are living in a time period before mass production and large scale agriculture, so resources are somewhat scarce. You are an outsider and haven't proven that you aren't just another mouth to feed. It's a harsh reality to be sure, but tribalism did at one point serve a purpose (though, just like an appendix, it's gone from being a useful adaptation to a hindrance/problem waiting to happen in modern times). As a 15 year old during this time period, you probably aren't seen as a child by most people, but as someone who can and must earn their keep.

I just want to appreciate that fact that charriii and his teams and/or friends always voice act all scenes in the game if there isn't any voice acting. Thats most likely hours and hours of voice acting which is pretty insane and they're all really good at it! Sometimes they sing too which is also really good!

For such a frustrating and EXTREMELY clutch fight, seeing that message did at least give me a good chuckle. It's like the game knew how bullshit that entire sequence was.

I tried fighting that thing 8 or so times until i cheesed it with cresselia and max revives
@@shannonn2569 After losing the first time, I tried to match each mon in Volo's team with a member of my team that could easily take it down, while using Max Revives in preparation for Giratina.
@@shannonn2569 I did it like 3 times. First 2 I tried to fight it around level 70ish, and the gauntlet wrecked me. 3rd time though I grinded a bit more levels and also used a bit of the "power of capitalism" AKA Max Revives
I fought the battle over 10 times until I gave up and just used legendaries. I think it was a mistake to not use items during that battle
This is a sin that I noticed when I got to the part were Kamado accuses you of being responsible for the frenzies.
Suddenly appearing from another world, meeting someone with a dream and agreeing to help them achieve it, quickly becoming popular among the locals, meeting highly praised members of a team or group, encountering a group of misfits causing trouble for their own personal gain, taking on powerful enemies during your quest to regain your lost memories, getting blamed for being the cause of the world's balance being thrown and then being banished from the place you called home...
The plot of the main game of Legends Arceus is literally just the plot of the first Mystery Dungeon game.
Except MD portrays it better imo because at least the human thing, while a secret, wasn't something the protag was too worried about. On top of the fact the protag themself didn't know if they were the human related to Ninetails or not. They only know that Ninetails cursed a wicked human and that that human's presence was causing the calamities. How could anyone know Gengar was the wicked human? He never told anyone anything about himself.
I love how the game gives you 50 balls, then takes them away and then says congrats heres 20 balls.

The fact that we now have an actual answer to Pokeballs is amazing, and it actually makes sense since minimize is an actual move.
I mean, except that nothing makes sense about them being able to minimize themselves, but eh they tried to give an answer at least.
Maybe all Pokemon can use Minimize, and pokemon actually hace 5 moves, but if they replace Minimize, the they cant go into Pokeballs

19:20 they’re running away because the Red Chain broke and that was supposed to calm down the first legendary so you can catch it. Plus it clearly wanted to be caught and wasn’t rampaging. Since they can’t use the Red Chain on the second legendary, it’s seen as too frightening to battle and it’s rampaging

It's implied you're only fighting one of "Arceus' Hands" meaning that the being you're fighting is only a fragment of the true power of Arceus. Arceus has 1000 hands, so you're actually only fighting Arceus at 0.1% of his strength. Same goes for other fights in the series like in Conquest and the unused event in DPP.

Normal human beings surviving stupid shit is a Pokemon staple. How does Team Rocket survives being blown hundreds of feets in the sky time and time again? It's because death only happens for plot convenience.
As for Arceus, well the guy almost died to a Meteor Rayquaza would have no problem smashing through. He is just not that great at his job of being God

1:50 - In the anime, Professor Westwood V programmed the Pokedex & wrote the entries. Oak only invented the *Electrical* pokedex in the game. The dex in Legends is pen & paper.
some pokemon can learn the move minimize, a move that literally causes pokemon to shrink to increase their evasion, it's possible that someone who knew this could have designed the pokeball to have this effect on all pokemon
There would be something there if it was like the move toxic where nearly every pokemon can learn it. However pokeballs have consistently been shown to turn pokemon into energy in both the anime and games. Shrinking them down would also be completely useless against pokemon like ghosts, psychic types, or really any kind of pokemon at all given their abilities especially the legendarys.
I mean… this is a world where god is llama and alternate dimensions are EVERYWHERE, the economy is wack, psychic powers exist, and the origin of all Pokémon genetics is a cat thing….
I think poke balls having a universal minimize (pre data storage era) is by no means the biggest feat.

@@Lh0000 same way they functioned in cavemen times. Advanced sealing devices is that world's bread and butter. They kept reverting back to the spherical pokeball shape because it was the most effective. These pokeballs are just the iteration of the time and even they have fireworks stuffed in there somehow.
For the choosing whenever Pokémon evolve, I figured it out when watching someone play on here. Now they didn't say as such, but it's a pretty solid assumption on my part.
Filling out the Pokedex requires a lot of each Pokémon. However, that would be made harder once each one evolves. It would be more trouble catching more of the same species.
If not any of that, our starters don't seem to be super common in the early game roaming around. Meaning it would be easier to just choose when to evolve them.
Nevermind it'd interrupt the game's flow quite a bit, especially if you're grinding dex goals out in the late game
The fact that you have catch a lot of Pokémon also has similarity to GO.
Yeah "Leveling" mechanics are replaced with candy's in the game in GO.
And In Pokémon Let's GO catching was the only way to level up with wild Pokémon. Trainers are finite. So makes sense they kept it traditional.
In a game where you have battling mechanics for Trainers and Wild Pokémon while going with the "massive" catches that also gives EXP make sense that evolution choice is implemented.

The way he kept speaking about what you would have to do to remove doubt and get people to trust you as if it was a ever moving goal post, DESPITE ME NOT REALLY SUFFERING FROM ANYONE IN TOWN DISTRUSTING ME, I KNEW as soon as I finished doing everything HE TOLD ME TO DO he would still blame ME for what was going wrong anyway. Despite Volo stating that this has happened before, and both clans acknowledging it GIGA BRAIN KAMADO HERE WITH HIS 2000 ULTRA PLAYS THINKS A 15 YEAR OLD CHILD WHO FELL FROM THE SKY HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!?

Ingo is super popular in Japan so it was most likely appease the Japanese fanbase.
Plus Ingo actually serves a purpose of outright remembering and stating what society in his time is like.
Nobody directly asks the player because there's no specific reason with their role in the story so they need someone who autonomously brings it up on their own which is where Ingo fits in.
Actually Charriii, there *is* an in game explanation about how the shrinking ability was discovered, I don't remember all the details but I do know it involved a frightened Pokémon shrinking itself and going into a teacup, then one of the researchers finding the Pokémon in said teacup and getting the idea for Pokéballs. (1:00)

I honestly don't understand why it was hard to believe why people wouldn't trust someone who had fallen out of the sky.
Like, dude, how often is it that a person just falls out of the sky? I mean, I'm surprised no one questioned how you survived such a fall.
And yes, while you may have not done anything, it is not uncommon for people from olden times to be distrusting of outsiders. Hell, I'm sure if you were to go to some random dead nowhere town, people might not be trustful.
As for Kamado, I am willing to argue that the reason he acted the way he did is probably because while he never trusted you, he was willing to give you the benefit of the doubt. He did acknowledged your efforts in quelling the Noble Pokemons. But what I think is while you did quell them on his orders, Kamado really did believe that what you were doing was working, but when it did not fix the problem, I can imagine Kamado thinking that if the Noble Pokemon wasn't the problem (as the Noble Pokemon thing happened around the time of the rift opening), then it had to be you, the person who showed up the exact same time.
There are flaws with his logic as Adaman and Irida pointed out, but I can guess that Kamado was not only blaming you, but blaming himself because he ordered you to do this thinking it would fix the problem, but when it didn't, he surmised that he made it worse, and the best thing he could do is try and do damage control... ergo, exiling you. And it wasn't like he was completely unfair (although we can all agree he was a real dick about the whole thing), as he was willing to give you a chance to prove you're not the problem.
But that's just me.
Another thing: has anyone noticed how pretty similar Legends Arceus' story is to the original Mystery Dungeon games (Blue and Red Rescue Team)? I mean, you have a calamity (Dungeon's natural disasters, Arceus' rift and Noble Pokemon raging), you appearing out of nowhere with amnesia, you being taken in and becoming part of a team, you fixing problems and helping people, getting blamed for calamity and exiled (or ran out in Dungeon's case).
Given there are flying pokemon, has no one else fallen from the sky before? seriously no one has fallen off or been dropped by a pokemon? I highly doubt that is the case. No, his prejudice is against you due to your ability with Pokémon. and the town showed no issue with you until he turned his back on you. Honestly, I wouldn't have rejoined his sorry group and if I was Cyllene I would have left the group and founded a new one. If he will exile one person without just cause; he will turn on the rest. This part literally pissed me off. I actually stopped playing for days because of that scene.

Also I feel your pain with the Spiritomb quest; I got what I could passively as I played, but fired up a guide as soon as it became my primary focus because fuck that.
17:10 I honestly wish that that there was an option that if you were Rank 10 when this occurred to challenge Kamado for the title of Leader seeing as he hasn't done a single thing to help since all this started but stand there in his office and banish HIM to the wilds to die. One of my biggest sins with this game is that the Pokémon devs STILL won’t have their games be fully voice-acted, despite Pokémon literally being the highest-grossing franchise of all time.
I'm not that mad it isn't fully voiced, even though I think it should be as well.
I'm mad there isn't any voice acting at all. Like little voice clips or even just grunts and stuff. Something to not make the game just a silent wall of text punctuated only by the sound of hitting the A button.

Bro the entire Volo fight caused me to break a controller. I had to level up my pokemon to the 80s to be able to beat that fight and make and by so many max revives that it was insane.
Also, yeah, Volo was very obviously the villian here. Every character in pokemon that looks distinctly different from the rest of the characters in the game is obviously the antagonist in the game. Like Rose in sword and shield, and especially Lysandre (if that's how you spell it) in X and Y.
Also, the way the Volo fight ended just... irritated me. The guy is obsessed with seeing Arceus, devotes his whole life to it to the point of summoning Satan to get it out into the world so he could see it, then I beat him and satan once when they're fighting seriously and he just flat out gives me the last plate, says that he will one day see Arceus, then fucks off. Like....???? What???? Laventon also says later that Volo told them about what happened with that fight and the guy face NO repercussions for summoning satan, nearly destroying the world, and causing shit to go crazy.
Also, in the Giratina fight, was it just me or did it use the same exact move over and over again? Like...? Shadow force or something of the sort. If it wasn't that, it would use earth power and aura sphere, but that was RARE.
All in all, good game, but that entire part was bs

I doubt the pokemon can shrink themselves down, other than the minimize ability. It's more like nobody knows how pokeballs properly work yet and are just guessing. Cause science and research can change over the course of decades and centuries

The biggest flaw I find with Arceus’ role is you don’t see it ever helping you besides texting the obvious. You never see him step in with the rampaging deities.
And since he only says “Catch all Pokémon”, it sounds like he doesn’t care/know about the nobles going wild or Volo scheming. Why word its message in a way that ignores the crisis you’re about to face

I always usually watch all your EWW's when I get notifications for them, but when I saw I got a CZcams notification on my phone, and I saw the thumbnail, I literally said out loud "OH HELLL NO!!" I literally only have gotten to play 15 minutes of the game today (I haven't even gotten my pokemon yet) and I want to play and experience the game with no spoilers, since Arceus is literally my favorite pokemon, and he's one of the main reasons I got the game!

I'll be honest, I absolutely loved playing Legends! Even ended up restarting the game to experience the story again. Definitely worth the $60 for such a unique Pokémon experience

Hell, even the other God was pretty much still having to formulate a plan at this point, and only after you GET to the Summit Camp do they tell the respective person the idea they've got.

Weeks later... Now that I’ve played to that point, I’d say it’s 50/50. There’s some hints and strange moments, but I don’t think it’s blatantly clear until you’re near the end.

Thank you for the voice acting… something that the devs still haven’t given us… but on a serious point, how good is this game? I may get it for my birthday… Edit: Wont get it, but I do enjoy others playing it.
Keep your expectations pretty low if you don't want to get dissapointed, is a "decent" game, but is not good as people (specifically pokemon fans) say it is. If you can, i'll recommend you to play Monster Hunter Rise before this game, both are pretty similar, but MHR is just better.

@@yaemikoshusbando3029 Well, the game's graphics are ugly, everyone knows that, but the game has more problems than just being ugly. I mean, speaking about combat, it's not really that "fresh", the principal combat is basically the same but with fast and strong modes (It's like those super strong moves that need cooldowns or those weak but fast moves that allows you to attack twice, but now it's manual and all attack moves can have it), later on we have the (Very, very, VERY repetitive) "boss" battles, when you have to throw little bags to the boss to help it to calm down, and then attack him, or just throw bags till his life gauge reduce to 0, after that we have the quests and the tasks, most of them are "go to X location and get me X things or Pokemon", (the majority of those quest have really bad rewards, so if you gonna play the game, catch practically ANY pokemon you see and take all the items you find to complete the quest automatically, because it's gonna be a pain in the ass if you wanna make a 100% of the game), the task are principally "Catch X pokémon 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 times, fight X pokémon 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 times, see X pokémon use X move 5, 10, 15...", etc, etc, etc. I think you might get it, as i said before, repetitive asf.
And the Story... come on, it's pokémon, the last decent story was in the 5ft generation, this story treats you like practically every other pokémon, you know, the "You want to do something?" Yes/No, but you can't actually say No, the same fake sense of decision it's still there, and you can see that in the video.
And a one last thing, this game have L O T S of stupid dialogue, most of the 30 hours that takes to complete the history are mostly you watching a power point presentation, and you'll have to see 4 hours of tutorials before starting to actually play the game, people say that the game is "Difficult" but actually isn't, it's unfair, as an example, you can't one-shot a lvl 3 pokémon, with a neutral normal attack of a lvl 15 pokémon, other example is that if more than one pokémon is fighting with your pokémon, the A.I. of the second or third pokémon will decrease at stupid levels, even after you defeat all the other pokémons the A.I. will not rise again after you attack him once, the game just buffs some pokémon to incredibly high lvls (in comparative to yours) to prevent you of having an evolved pokémon early in the game...
I think this is starting to be unnecessarily long, if you want to play the game is your decision and your money, if you want to have a better understandment of the game you can play it in an emulator and later pay for a real copy, but if you wanna buy something, i'll recommend you more Monster Hunter, because in my opinion, 60$ it's too much for this game.

I’ve heard of it before but I’ve never actually been into the series, so this will be my first time playing it. In fact, after writing my comment, I actually decided to look up the game a bit (got to see one of my favorite CZcamsrs play and she had a fun time with it). And funny you mentioned the 5th Generation because that’s actually where I started to like Pokémon (but I was around a lot of people who hated it). Okay, Giratina supposedly representing the “Christian devil” is a huge misconception, Giratina is supposed to represent Anti-Matter, and these quotes from Bulbapedia shed some light on things:

YThe stuff about the seraphim is misleading. First of all, “saraph” means “serpent” in Hebrew, not Arabic. Second, seraphim are not archangels. In Christian angelology, Setaphim are a higher choir of angel than archangels.
Another thing, I started thinking if Giratina is Poke Satan, then that would imply the Distortion World would be the equivalent of Hell in the Pokémon world, but neither people nor Pokémon end up there when they die.
