You know what sucks? This game COULD have been good. But aside from being a glitchy mess, it has uninteresting level design, forgettable characters, boring story elements that could've been interesting if there had been more information given to us or if it had gone in a different direction. Oh well. #SonicBoom #SonicMovie

Am I the only one heavily disappointed by the fact the TV show is better written AND animated than this non-game?
+Austin's Games Well Sonic Boom the cartoon isn't really an action show but a comedy. It does a good number of action sequences but it's not the main focus on the show.

To be fair, there's no way the show's action can be worse than Boom's "action" which mainly just consists of dodging stuff on a track and throwing enemies off whatever area you're placed in every single time because it's always the fastest way to fight the stupid things.

Originally, instead of Sonic saying "OHHH SHHHOOOOOOOOOTT" transitioning from slow mo to regular speed, he was supposed to say "OHHH SHIIIIIIIOOOT" catching himself, almost saying "Oh, shit" which I'd have loved to see.
Apparently, Knuckles was supposed to say "someone must've really pissed 'em off" at some point.

Of all the redesigns, I actually really like Tails'. The goggles are cute and so are his other little gadgets, yet it isn't too much either. Unlike the other redesigns, Tails' actually compliments him. So...
Yeah, while the game itself makes me cringe as well as the rest of the redesigns, I will give credit where credit is due.

Wow, not even a single sin in and I already see a huge problem with the opening cutscene:How the hell does Sonic, the fastest thing alive who rolls around at the speed of sound, the one who can hydroplane across water...not do anything but stand still as the robots spend like 10 seconds charging up their lasers and then firing at him? What should have happened was "Read-ghk! as Sonic ran through and destroyed all of them in half a second", OR why didn't he simply jump over the damn lasers? Shadow really had NO purpose in the plot in Rise of Lyric. The creators just placed him in as a boss fight with no reason to go against Sonic and the others *at all* other than to introduce him into the Sonic Boom franchise. All they did here was make him completely OOC from the silent, 'I only waste my time if it's beneficial to me' Shadow the Hedgehog into an egotistical jackass. It's sad that he served more of a purpose in the DS version of the game and that's only because he was captured by Lyric and used as an experiment for that mind control device.
Not to mention that Shadow DOES know the power of teamwork.

Fun fact: during the scene where lyric gets unleashed, in the Japanese version, sonic doesn’t actually say “nobody has dodged my spin attack..” Instead, he says “he can predict my moves? How?” So either they did that on accident or the person who did the dubbing was an asshole.

In fairness, Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric did have a very troubled production and the team was scrapped for time when it came to making it actually work. At least based on what I remember hearing in a video I watched quite a while ago. That doesn't excuse all of the bugs in the game, but I do have a lot of sympathy for the team that worked on it since they got jerked around quite a bit.
When in doubt, if there's a game with bullshit or bugs, blame the higher ups that pushed it out, not the people who actually worked on it.
I feel really bad for Knux's voice actor. Knux was always gullible, but still an intelligent, strong defender. Basically the Sasuke of the Echinda. And in this....he's like pretty much every high school jock. Ripped af, but also dumb af.

No, he really wasn't- that was all in the heads of fans. Knuckles was never particularly intelligent at all, and was in fact portayed as an utter dumbass as soon as the series got actual proper story(Adventure). It's not just gullibility, Knux was always dumb as a board(even prior to Adventure, he was a moron, it's just that gullability was the only thing that played into the miniscule story of the genesis games.).
Boom is just way more on the nose about it.
I guess. I was just thinking back to Sonic X and all the games before Boom. I mean, yeah, Knux may have been extremely gullible back then, but Boom split down his IQ to equal Big the Cat. That's just sad.

Yeah, he was never quite THIS dumb, but I'll admit I actually enjoy the cartoon version of Boom Knuckles, but he's meh in the game.
Also, Big was never really dumb as much as just a bit slow(with a goofy voice). He never did anything dumb(unlike the Knux).
Fun fact about Big: He's voiced by the same guy who did Duke Nukem.

Actually, Gamma wasn't a Flicky, the Flicky only acts as his power source. He turned against Eggman mostly because Eggman treats his brothers like crap, but also because Amy convinced him that there is good in him.

When I was a kid, I learned a pretty easy way to remember left from right. Make an L with your hand. If the L is backwards, that's your right hand. If it makes a proper L then it's your left hand. It's surprisingly helpful.
I learned this from Blues Clues. Go figure.
