Just want to inform you that she has just started a project with the Swedish company ”Skultuna” and she is now making her figures in brass. Lisa Larsson will be 92 yrs old here at the beginning of September and is still going strong. Greetings from Sweden
My friend I’m staying the weekend with right now just spent a month in Sweden over the summer and took lots of pictures of her studio and current pieces for me! I was just looking at them last night 😍 I hope to visit her studio someday!!
You inspired me to finally accept my Grandmothers bedroom furniture from my Mother and bring it to my place next week. It is lovely from the mid 1920's, they purchased it new. Our entire upstairs is empty as all of our 8 kids have moved out. We planned on selling this place and getting a two bedroom somewhere, but I have several friends from childhood that I am still very close to and some live around the US and come back here to Ktown to visit family and friends. So I thought I would create a nice space in my place to save them hotel charges.
I find old furniture is way better made. Easily painted, restained or reupholstered
I moved to a smaller place. Now I have grandchildren and want more space.🤦
People knew how to make furniture built to last back then, unlike today’s generation. Well done for recycling/repurposing. Enjoy! 🇬🇧

Speaking of bucket list items: I spotted a Dansk ice bucket in the photographs for a local estate sale that began 08/12/2023 at 9 AM. I didn't make it to the sale until 2 PM but guess what, IT WAS STILL THERE! It was $40.00 and still there because some people planned to go back for it on half off day! I am thrilled to have it and hope to use it often for entertaining. It is huge!

I tried watching other Thrifting videos, but a lot of the women are so rough with the objects and you can tell they don’t really care about the object, all they care about is the money it’s going to make them.
Yes, Laura it does resell, but you can tell she really cares about the object. And, she’s always very respectful even if she decides she doesn’t want it and put it back., it is with a gentle hand.❤❤❤

My one big problem with all of these home delivery foods is THE PACKAGING! I so hope everyone is recycling. Jessie has such a nice smile. Good assistant. A real gem. Thank you for sharing. Great haul. 👍❤️
Thankfully it’s way less waste than regular food from the grocery store 🙌 cutting out middle men by producing farm to table cuts down so much on additional packaging. Most items at the grocery store arrived it a lot more packaging before being placed onto the shelves. We just don’t see it.

Do you remember the watch display "museum" at the Streetcar Village? It was amazing. It was FULL of little automated "dioramas," I'd say at least 100 .... a few yrs ago the owner passed away and they were all auctioned off ... incredible prices.

I used to live in New Zealand and some of the wood art reminds me of the Maori art very cool then my father in law goes back and forth to Papa New Guinea and he had some great pieces very interesting art love these finds as always love seeing Jesse such a great hubby! 😊❤

Our Goodwill now charges $34.99 Orange Tag and up for all Studio Pottery, even the crappiest "vintage" item starts at $9.99. I used to be a daily visitor and now haven't been in two weeks. Its too depressing.

I loved the hanging light for $145.00, it would look great over our dining room table…..I’ve been looking for a long time and I think that one would have been a perfect fit. That corduroy shirt Penney's that you passed on for $50 was it? That is a 1950's era shirt, those have been highly collectible for 30 years, I just looked up comps, and a M in a similar pattern with a green background sold on a Japanese website for $378. Man I wanted to reach through my screen and snap it up, LOL.

You are so lucky to be able to just run to Lincoln City for the day! Omg! Of course I would have to hit Depoe Bay and seal Rock and Waldport and Yachats. Plus spend some time on the beach as well! Eat at somewhere like Luna Sea in seal Rock or Salty Dog in Waldport. Oh and on the way back, just on the out side of McMinville, there’s a farmers market called “Farmer John’s”. I always have to stop there for their ice cream and their home canned preserves and produce! 👍👍👍. But I want to thank you for brining us with you!! 🙏🙏🙏
Oh goodness that CHONK of onyx is gorgeous. I'd have done exactly what you did and displayed crystals in it. Or burned incense. Or stuck and air plant in it. Or used it as a base to display a huge seashell. I love onyx ashtrays.

You're so funny! Loved the candle comment..."This is what they used to do instead of watching tiktok." So true! I think that would be a sand candle. Dig a hole in the sand add some rocks and pour melted wax in the hole. Im sure there is a tiktok video on how to make one.
