Blue and white lamp is perfect in

I like the original pottery lamp because of the contrast in color. You've got a lot of wood around, so the wood and brass lamp blends in more and the pottery stands out nicely.

The metal race horse rider is a classic 80’s trend desk toy. The feet of the jockey have points because they used to have a base that they would balance on. Just like the pendulum balls, the horse would rock for ages with just a little tap. The balls on the horses feet being the weights. Very common in the uK. Enjoy!

After viewing your videos, I think Oregon has the best thrift and antique stores. Seems like people are attracted to the natural elements like woods, metals, pottery, and animals probably due to Oregon’s beautiful, natural landscape. Alot of things made with these elements wind up eventually at your Goodwills and vintage stores. Lucky you! Hope to make it up there one day.

The ceramic vase is nice and adds texture and contrast to the existing predominance of wood in the room, and it's shape compliments the candlesticks. HOWEVER, the wooden lamp wins my vote for two reasons. The organic shape provides excellent contrast and intrigue, balancing the predominance of geometric shapes throughout the room. Also, that particular alcove created by the dressertop, room corner and window trim literally makes the lamp base POP!! NO CONTEST! I would change out the candlesticks for either metal or ceramic, and add color ( BRIGHT blue) in one or two of the objects on the tray. Whew! That was a long explanation....

We make them yearly. Some years we need toothpicks for the head. We always do pound cake. The decorating after is the fun part. We bake it a few days before Easter and freeze it so when decorating, it makes it easier.

I love both lamps, but I think lamp #1 needs to stay put. Like others have said, I like how it brings some blue to that corner. Lamp #2 is gorgeous, but it kind of blends in in that spot & it needs it’s own moment to shine :) xo

Although I love the tulip lamp, I have to vote for the 1st. one. This lamps texture reminds me of the little pot you purchased from George. Rooster looks like it was a lamp at one time. TfsđŸ„°

I prefer the pottery lamp as it adds blue to the opposite side of the wallpaper. The wood lamp is beautiful but the dresser needs some contrast. I think you could make a lamp of the chicken with the larger hole in the bottom and smaller hole in the top. Oregon is blessed to have so many fabulous antique and thrift stores!

While I absolutely adore the tulip lamp, I think the pottery lamp's contrast, design and scale works better in that guest room space. So many wonderful finds. THE JACKS! THE BIRDS! You have fabulous vintage out in Oregon!

Both lamps are beautiful in the room but my fav for the spot is the ceramic one. You have a lot of wood in the room and I think, from a design perspective, the ceramic one is the best choice.

The metal horse would originally balance on a narrow , cylindrical stand which would hold the jockeys legs, and you could then let the horse rock back and forth. I had one in the 1970s.

Those places were phenomenal. They had so much good vintage. When you do some videos can you show us your OOTD or maybe purchase some clothing/jewelry pieces. Then show us how you'd style them. I'd also love a closet update now thay you're moved in. You've got such great style.

Although I L-O-V-E, love both lamps & think that they both look great. But, it's "Lamp #1" all day long.
However, if you decide to switch up the other decor on the dresser to integrate more color & less wood than it's "Lamp #2". I can't believe that I'm saying this but, as the decor is now... there's too much wood.
Anyway, that's my vote & the reason for the controversy!
Love the channel, great content & you & Jesse are a match made in the stars ✹⭐!
Good vibes from Southern California! 🌞

Wow - you found some really gorgeous stuff this trip. As for the lamp debate, I love the wood one but if you do use it, I think you might need to restyle the console adding more blues to that side of the room. The other lamp did that very effectively, so a win-win, as either lamp is beautiful and fits well in the room.❀
