- Thrift Shopping at Goodwill is a great place to search for vintage and home decor. Thrift with me today in Tacoma Washington at a local GW and antique mall where I find gorgeous vintage linens, couture lampshades and unique "figural porcelain vases. I gather some decor that very much resembles the cute Cottagecore design spring trend!

I was so surprised to see the pink checked dress with the sheer white overskirt and the rose bud appliqués. I owned that exact dress when I was in the 9 th grade. I must have been about 14 and I am 76 now. Thanks for the fun trip down memories lane.

Oh I'm so sorry Bonnie. It's so hard when we lose our parents. I lost my Mom 14 years ago and my Daddy 13 years ago and miss them every day. Grief never goes away, it just changes 💜💙💚💛🧡

I LOVE the pink gingham dress! Brings me back to my childhood in the 1950's! The lampshades were really a perfect match with the wallpaper in the bird bathroom! Since you already know that the 'cherubs" are hatpin holders, perhaps you don't know that they are Royal Copenhagen Aluminia Faience" done in Tranquebar blue and white, probably made in 1968. The figure is called "Prince Spring." They sell in the $120-200 per figure! You have an excellent eye for quality!

You are so right about snatching up doilies. I feel like it’s a lost art. I buy them whenever I find them. The lady who volunteers at a local thrift shop saves them for me. She says no one looks for them and they get tossed all over. Fun video as always 😊

That fringed shawl IS hand crocheted ( style is called fillet crochet) and it has what is the equivalent to counted cross stitch hand embroidery over it. All the other things, too. The dress, the rug, the lampshades, ALL the things! I also love those blue tufted chairs you showed us! So many pretty things, even if they stayed there. 💚💚💚

When you first showed the many lamp shades I thought they were much bigger. When you put them on your chandelier, it took my breath away. You have great taste and a definite flair for decorating.

I crochet I started when I was 15 with yarn then with thread about 25. The thread is so much more tedious but to me it always seemed more rewarding to see the finished doilies rather than afghans. I actually made tablecloth’s with thread. But I love them. I don’t do it anymore because I’m 56 now and even with glasses it seems to strain my eyes. Love your channel

I finally was able to cross off a bucket list item and go looking for treasures in the South. My son and I just visited Charleston, SC for his Spring Break at the end of March. I was so excited to visit a huge antique mall in the South. It was so different than what I'm used to in my trips around Idaho ( home state), MT, WY and UT. There was soooo much silver... monogrammed napkin rings and ice tea spoons, antique and vintage china and so much vintage art. I collect vintage Christmas and was ecstatic to find one adorable pink Putz house and a 20 year old book by a well known Southern woman ( Mrs. Whaley) full of recipes and gardening tips. I happened to be shopping near two cute Southern women and got to hear them gossiping complete with a few "bless her hearts". It was such an experience. I hope you get to go soon. ❤️❤️❤️

First I love your new haircut. Frames you face perfectly. Cannot believe you scored all the small lampshades. Amazing. Use the 2 remaining shades on tall candle stick lamps. So cute. Dress is adorable on you. Purchase a solid color pillowcase to go with the pink floral and take the cases apart and sew a floral on solid case. Now you have the floral side and solid side.
