As a rookie officer still on training in a large city. This video is both hilarious with the tumbleweave and extremely informative. Appreciate the good tips

Good luck with your training! Tommy has a good channel (straight to the point, no bullshit; lots of experience, very little bias towards others; brings in others who can offer more input based on which niche they fill; etc). I've recommended it to a lot of new police and security officers here in Dallas. A lot of the stuff Tommy talks about in Chicago can be applicable here in Dallas, which is another massive urbanized area. SOP might be different, but a lot of what he talks about is applicable in large urban areas.

Good stuff, appreciate the time and effort to share your experience. Your channel is one of my inspirations that pushed me to start my own. I really appreciate the time you put into sharing this with all of us out here. Thanks a million

Excellent video. After a few years on patrol it becomes apparent that police work usually happens at night and for some reason almost never on the ground floor of a building.

Referencing techniques- this is where the FTO comes in an shows you how the real world actually functions. 😂
Thank you for your vid’s there a great help. I made it through the oral interview an was offered a conditional offer at the local PD. The city is having another meeting on Monday to put it up for discussion then I’ll get a call around 2100 or 0800 on Tuesday with the final offer.

Another great video. Feel like this could be its own masterclass there’s so much to the topic. Always look under cars, magically everything/everyone is under there: weapons, drugs, keys, people. Use your baton to rattle bushes and foliage too, people often stuff things into bushes as they flee to retrieve later. Same for behind low walls, between car wheels and the gutter, and in trash cans (purses from robberies etc.). Also on top of porch roofs, small buildings, garages etc, where people can toss stuff up as they run.

I was a School Resource Officer in a real bad gang banging area (keyword is *was* before the COVID-19 quarantine) and it was the kind of area where gangbangers would use the school for target practice. Just shot out 5 windows in a row because they were bored.
A lot of this stuff is super accurate, something I want to add is that if you see different types of shell casings that doesn't always mean different types of guns. Criminals usually stuff whatever ammo they can find into a gun, such as going down the aisle at Academy and stealing 2 bullets out of every box. The result is a hodgepodge of different handgun ammo being shoved into the same gun. A responsible self defender will usually load all the same ammo and it will generally be something quality like Federal or Hornady or Gold Dots. If you see a substantial variation in the types of shell casings on the ground, especially if it's all the same caliber, you're usually dealing with someone armed and dangerous like a gangbanger.

I can tell you why people loose shoes. I am the only person I know, besides my dad that unties and ties his shoes every time the go off and on again. Almost all the people I have seen put on shoes leave them tied, and slip them on and off. Also, hi point lol
