CSI: Decoding Shell Casings
Crime scene investigation (CSI) can be complex and tricky. There are a multitude of casings and projectile types out there and classifying them is a nightmare some days. If you are a new Cop or interested in policing I hope his little primer on casings and projectiles helps.

It made everyone professional leg shooters 😂
The High Point became the new Jennings. The biggest difference is they won't fire when you check if there's a round in the chamber.
If you need all that shit on your gun you shouldn't own one
I think canik mags might work in that
How many dogs has that baby taken out?
❤❤ staf policia
Do you just leave the dot on?
Of course, a red dot is a very low power device, some are even rechargeable. Plus imagine if the bullets started flying and you forgot to turn on your red dot that morning! That second or two of fumbling could mean the difference between life and death.
My cheap airsoft red dot runs on a single AAA, I left it on after I got home from a game and when I went to do some plinking in the garden about 2 weeks later the red dot was still there, but just a little bit dimmer than normal. So I replace the batter maybe once or twice a year. Now imagine the difference between my cheap £20 red dot and a nice, high quality firearm red dot. It'd probably be even more efficient.
@TrashlandHobbies I don't have a dot on my pistol, so I'm just unaware of how to carry with one. I guess it makes the most sense to have it on just never thought about it
Welp, looks like I have to go buy another gun after work today. Why do you always have to entice me with your beautiful firearms.
That's one sweet blaster
You can see the chambered round in a Glock by just looking and I think rotating mags is good practice also giving the mags a tap to make sure they are seated and I give a look at the top round of the mag for sure.
I was a deputy and had a Hi Point that actually saved my life (it was an original first series) a banger decided to try to shoot at me and after his first round the slide jumped the frame and jammed solid, not gonna say anything bad about the newer one but that gun is one I'm glad was a POS.
13 minuites in that glock looked sexy asf dont it
I found one of those for $120 a couple days ago
Damn that glawck fawty though
real life sucks
I always check the chamber before i put my gun in the holster. Ive seen too many videos of other officers pulling out their weapon and then getting a click instead of a bang. That can literally get you killed in the streets.
I would never trust my life to a hi point. However some gun is better than no gun.
Don't you guys have a fancy clearing barrel for that? Probably doesn't matter but I always wondered whether slightly moving the chambered round against a full magazine might cause weirdness with the top round. I check chamber when mag is out. I never trust the LCI either. Also do you rotate your belt mags into the pistol and rotate in a 4th mag that's stored empty?
I can't connect the dots
Just the way I learned it in the army!
The Hell with botons . I have a Baseball Bat 🦇
Can anyone tell me that what is the price of this comb🤔🤔
This is a great explanation. Thank you for this!
Wonder how it would hold up to a 5.7
is 21in more practical than 16in baton?
I've only ran into one in the last 4 years. These days it's all Taurus G2C's
It’s better then nothing
You forgot 357 sig in the bottle neck rounds.
9mm is certainly better than it used to be to be, but that technology has also the already more effective .40 and .45 even MORE effective than it originally was. The same gap between calibers still exists.
Engine's run, guns operate.
You should bring back the facial hair.
I love dogs.
You should try Hunter Constantine IWB belt. It has elastic in the back and stiffness in the front. It’s so comfortable, it’s a game changer.
Send this to the lock guy to open them
So in other words......use a wheelgun or SxS/UO non ejecting guns 😅
A Hi-Point carbine was used during Columbine just as a reference for how actually widespread Hi-Point was for criminals
Saw someone quite definitively and literally shot at a hi-point a few times, damn thing still fucking works.
In my short tenure as an LEO, saw more then a few crime scenes with multiple caliber casings and first impression would be multiple shooters but after reviewing surveillance footage and recovering the firearms used in those incidents and finding the magazines loaded with a mix of ammo!! I guess the motto of “if it seats, it yeets” is true!
I've owned the 9 and the .40 S&W, the .40 was like, Desert Eagle size and weight but it was super reliable, moreso than the 9 was. Good truck gun.
Speaking of pistol cartridge casings, if you look at the primer dent it is sometimes possible to immediately identify the type of firearm it came from because of the backpressure inside the casing pushing material into parts of the gun. Glocks will leave a rectangular raised shape around the striker dimple, and the S&W M&P series will leave a teardrop shape.
🤣🤣🤣
Holy cow I get so sick and tired of hearing about fucking high points. I have owned one the exact same one he is talking about the c99 9mm. I shoot the plus piano through it every single time I take it out I've never had an issue I did a little bit of research I stretched out the fucking wings at the top of the clip, I took mine completely apart cleaned it thoroughly put it all back together I took the safety catch out of it so that you can fire with the clip out and let me tell you it is the only pistol that I own and I own 1911 I own six I own all kinds of shit and I run one in the tube everyday I've used this as a truck gun a trunk gun my car gun I leave it at the front door I carry it I've never had an issue and let me tell you it is the only pistol I own that I can rack with one hand not using my belt or a leg leg. My trigger is good I've never had an issue maybe I just have a good one. Now yes it is too heavy to carry everyday so yes I do carry a different weapon every day but believe you me I would let my life be dependent on that high point that I own and I'm actually looking at getting one of the SBR high points as well as one of the 10s. Tell him I'm done I will have all of them the 380 the 9 the the 40 cals and I'm not ashamed to say I love and respect mine. Freaking take care of your damn gun and it will take care of you
I still have my C9 from many many years ago. It has been cleaned, and still uses the same roll pin. (Thank goodness. lol) And, Yes it is very accurate. The reason for that accuracy is that it has a fixed barrel. It is not a floating barrel like a browning action, so it never moves. It will feed some HP bullets, but not many, and definitely not the good ones. lol I do think that everyone should own one. They are very inexpensive, and it will make you appreciate every other pistol you will own.
So professionally violating civil liberties, a side gig of training others to violate civil liberties, and the blessing of Adscence monetization for filiming and posting both doesn't pay enough so you have to resort to shilling cheap chinese products that primarily maekets to boomers on Facebook?
Mister Saturday night special. Got a barrel thats blue & cold. Aint good for nothin'. But put a man six feet in a hole.
GettoGlock
I thought the video was going to talk about crime changing from using revolvers to semi-autos that help the police by leaving brass laying all over the place to be collected as evidence. Since they have the same capacity as a common revolver I would think that was a bigger change and I guess that was part of the video, but I am no cop or anything and don't claim to be an expert at anything in that realm. The comment about every truck being an F-150 answers a few questions for sure though and I can see how that could happen with people that don't know the difference.
Remington 115 JHP (The old school stuff with a 124 FMJ like ogive). It seems to feed in everything. It won't expand reliably under 3.5" though.
Some very limited very basic calibre recognition info and also some very poor and incorrect info
Ballistically, how do you match up a casing to the gun?
You can't that's not real
